Nice job I love the colours how they mix up ! And that form of green is whit white that colour who fish see deepest! Nice tie 😊
Sad we dont have the intruder flys here in Scandinavia. I learn to tie those as I'm live in USA. Best regards Bjorn 🇸🇪

Great looking fly! With all the high colored water this year on the Olympic Peninsula hope to tie up a few of these for some wild steelhead! Cheers and tight lines Jason, keep the tying vids coming much appreciated.

Thank you so much for sharing it and for the explanation about what kind of rods and sinking tips are useful to cast these big flies. This is very useful in this latitudes (Argentina and Chile) for the big chinooks (average 13kgs, biggest: 35-40kgs)

There is no way I would ever tie this ... too many unnecessary stages and more than 45 minutes to tie one fly no way! It shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes to tie an intruder. The finished product looks nice but it’s a waste of time to go that far with it.

ever consider, people might enjoy making a objectively better fly. thinking about the river etc vs watching t.v and drinking beer or w/e???.. They tie because they enjoy it,,,,, If you only wanna tie whats necessary. just go swing a chenille egg pattern if thats your mentality. even though its on the swing. You'll still outfish everyone, especially intruders lol (''smaller flies appeal to more fish'' quote from ed ward and jerry french intruder creators).,,, or thread a rabbit strip on your leader, tie a hook and stop from sliding with split shot,,. i mean Anything else is ''unnecessary'' right? ....

Brother you are putting WAY TOO MUCH EFFORT into this. I have an old neighbour who catches giant Chinook and scary big steelhead on a plain #5 kirby with 2 wraps of blue and purple wool that his wife uses to knit mittens. He twists them together at the river in about 15 seconds. I used to take my time tying flies too until I fished with him. "What you're doing is silly. You care way more about how the fly looks than the fish do." - Sig, my neigbour.
