      Ya market is slim picking.
      They are on a mission to get consumers to pre order rather then the dealers carry stock so their is no profit loss on units at year end is what I gather from all the info I gather. I managed to scoop mine up from a customer who backed out of the purchase. Make sure to put it into your dealers ear that your interested if your really want one. Also call around to different dealers to see if something might be available. Might be worth the few hr drive if one available.

      Launch mode works good! Mine only allows you to access launch mode before you start the machine or when you’re in drive. If the engines running and you’re in neutral you won’t be able to select that mode!

    Compared to Yamaha and sea Doo is this the better more reliable brand?

    • @LUCAMTire
      @LUCAMTire  Год назад

      Each unit has there own scenario of maintenance situations.
      This is my first ski, it has so far been pretty good for me. Not to much besides needing to do the exhaust filter before recommended interval.
      If you are looking for less maintenance go with a naturally aspirated engine. None supercharged.
      Each brand has their perks and down falls for accessories or handling.
      Will depend on what you would like to do with it in end result.
      The kawi tracs through the water pretty straight and is a pretty comfortable maneuverable machine.
      I like it.

    That is awesome! They must have it governed at 105km/65mph. I had a 250lx and it would flat out do 69-70mph. But even 60mph is fast enough on water! Would love to get one of these beasts!

    • @LUCAMTire

      @@alittlebitofeverything5090 Depending on water conditions top speed can be a bit sketchy. Rough Rough water i would not want to try top speed but a nice calm flat lake or river. FUN!! 😃
      I did a top speed run on a lake that had some rough water but waves were tight together and no swells. Felt like driving on a slippery surface, ski was barely touching the water. was just skipping the top of the waves. Still able to do top speed with out getting thrown around but you could tell it had minimal traction. All kinds of fun though

    Never owned a PWC before... . Looking at Yamaha. BRP. Kawi. I'm 6'5 250lbs so I want something phsycially bigger. It will be used in salt water. I'm looking for something stable and reliable for ocean cruising. Are the SC engines better than they used to be? Or should I stay with a NA engine?

    • @LUCAMTire
      @LUCAMTire  2 года назад

      Any of the 3 seater class cruisers should fit you.
      I would suggest to go and sit on each ski to feel riding position.
      Being comfortable is key.
      Second what are you looking to do on your day out?
      Are you you looking to Tow a tuber or water ski'er.
      NA can prolly do it but a SC would prolly be better.
      Less components to worry about on a NA engine and little bit less maintenance.
      SC has more components that could potentially fail. Then you have SC service interval. Depending how long you are going to keep it.
      All and all they all need daily maintenance after each use and anything can happen but the SC engines are built better then before.
      Are you Going camping, fishing, scuba diving hunting or just out for a ride?
      How many cold beverages are you planning on bringing?
      Storage and practicality could play a big decision in your purchase. Something I should of paid more attention to as I do a variety of things while out on a day trip.
      The kawi has limited accessible storage from the drivers seat. Yamaha is similar.
      BRP you can access your large bow storage bin from the drivers seat which is very practical and also has the LINQ system hold down points for gas caddy's or extra storage.
      If I would be able to have two units I would like to have a BRP FISH Pro or something simialr for the amount of options and storage it has for the day to day switching of adventures I do.
      I love my Kawi but hate the storage options to be honest.
      NA is cheaper out the door and should be at the pumps then a SC but will also depend how you drive.
      SC is fun though :)
      A few of my buddies have BRP and the storage on them with easy access would be nice to have.
      The KAWI is a eye catcher for sure and always sparks a convo where ever you go.
      Stereo is loud. all kinds of bells and whistles. Handles and tracks good. maneuvers good, not to tippy. Depending on chop or wave each ski has a different feel or splash factor. I like my kawi but little disappointed in the storage, could be better. I added a cooler on the back as a cold dry box with fishing rod holders for when we are out for the day.

      @@LUCAMTire thanks for all the info. I'll be riding solo most of the time with the wife on board with me now and then. I'll just be using it for cruising. No sports. No gear etc. Just open water fun. We get some rough waters here and big swells but it's mostly decent weather May-Oct. I like to go fast but reliability is big for me. I live 90-120mins from any of the dealers so I don't want something I'll be hauling back and fourth all the time for issues. I know there's lemons and I know any brand can have issues but it seems Yamaha has the best reliability from what I have been reading? Whichever brand I get it will have extended warranty on it for sure lol.
      My cousin has a supercharged sea doo and it's been in the shop 5 weeks now waiting for parts for the SC..... It's only a few years old.
      I do look after my toys and always do regular maintenance. I'm pretty fussy lol

    • @LUCAMTire
      @LUCAMTire  2 года назад

      @@Cummins402 fussy is not a bad thing. NA would prolly be better route for less chance of breaking something.
      The yamaha fx cruiser ho was my first pick but there was none available in a 10hr diving range of me.
      Found the kawi and here I am. Still loving it regardless. Just disappointed in storage.

      @@LUCAMTire excellent post. Can you stay moderately dry on this ski? The Kawasaki is my choice but it’s cold here in May and October on lakes. Because of the crappy storage it’s hard to reach in and change adding a dry layer. Zero ocean for me just lakes in thenPacific Northwest.
      I currently have a 2019 Wave 155 as my first ski but the day after riding I have hatches and pains. I’m 65 years old and believe the deeper hull in Kawasaki will help that a lot.
      I guess I will go for riding comfort in a little chop and crappy storage than the sea doo storage but bumpy rides over a little chop.
      Do you know if the 160 ultra can reach speeds up to 65 as well?

      Experiencing nothing would be more ridiculous then not.
      Learn to live!
      Learn to do dangerous things safely 🙏
      Because everything one does is dangerous.
      Learn limitations.
      Everything is ridiculous when you put the concept into a danger perspective.
      If you think this is dangerous and ridiculous you should bubble wrap your life, stay home and hide. Lol
