Yo. A great experiment of art house movie mixed with new age martial arts. Incredible film with lots of great performance. Forget action movie, this is genuinely a piece of art. Even the fight scenes. They aren't overdone. Its exactly what it needs to be.
This was choreographed by Yuen Woo-ping, legendary Hong Kong stunt coordinator/action director. The guy has worked with pretty much all the big name Hong Kong action stars, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh, Stephen Chow.... you name it. Ip Man 4, where Donnie Yen fights Scott Adkins, that was also choreographed/shot by him. Tarantino hired him for Kill Bill, he choreographed the fights for Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon and also the original 3 Matrix movies. For the latest Matrix movie, Lana Wachowsky didn't brought him back and you can see how bad the action is in that movie, compared to the first 3.

Camera usually is moving, shifting angles, directions with every new stage of the fight, particularly at the bathroom scene, the director's way of shooting makes it even better.
Look up Danny the dog OST (made by Massive Attack), there are several playlists uploaded to RUclips. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of this specific soundtrack, but I know for a fact that what you're looking for is there.

I've never seen this film, but when Jet Li's character finally let's loose, and the weapons are bestowed upon the fighters, the ensuing brawl, choreography somewhat resembles that of a scene in Matrix Reloaded.

I saw this movie when I was 9 or 8,I kid you not I watched it back to back and mimiced Danny's(Jet li's) fighting style because I was bullied in school so I had no choice.I pretty much mastered the brutal fighting style and i absolutely destroyed my bullies,they kept coming back though but only for a short time,I transferred schools after that,it was fun for me because I saw it as training,I still feel some regret for seeing this movie.I don't think I should've seen violence like this at such a young age but it did make me stronger.The movie has very realistic fight scenes too except for the doge bullet thing at the start but it's possible to doge a bullet so idk.

@@blitzkid02 If you pay attention the whole fight scene has loads of hesitant moments and kind of wonky choreography. They most likely didn't have enough training time and had to rush it a bit, because the other fight scenes in this movie do not have this issue.

Yeah you're right, it's better to have subtitles than dubbing. When I watch Jet Li's older films from China, I rather them be in the original Chinese with English subtitles rather than be dubbed.
