Sooo excited about all your new Daniel Smith watercolors...they are all gorgeous and I’m so glad you like the Lunar Blue! It is one of my most favorite colors and I use it often as a background to my florals or as a sky color... I hope you have fun playing with all your new paint and I can’t wait to see what you will create with these!😁😁😁
I use the dots to make bigger swatches on a separate paper. Using indanthrone blue and cobalt blue violet is so pretty. I love lunar blue as well. I find potter's pink is always very stiff and difficult to blend.
Beautiful, wonderful colours! I have the Lunar Blue and the Sodalite Genuine. I love them, but I have not been using them lately for a very long time. I think I should paint (with them ) again! I love the Daniel Smith watercolours, and I have wanted the Potter`s Pink for so long, but it is a bit pricy here. And now, after watching this great video, I want also the Spring Green and the Cobalt Blue Violet as well! Gorgeous watercolours and colours! : )
Oh yes Spring Green! Need to experiment with it a little, I found it looks slightly different on different papers, need to try it on Arches and Khadi Papers rough, I find watercolours look incredibly beautiful and their best on those two papers. Also need to try it in mixes! So much to do, so little time :))
Try WN Potter’s Pink. I like Daniel Smith the most of all, generally speaking, but there are a couple of colors that WN does better....Potter’s Pink and Cobalt Violet.
They really are not that different at all. Dr. Oto Kano has an in depth video comparing the two. I had my heart set on Blue Apatite because I just WANT the Primatek paints (I am a marketer’s dream audience). However, I decided to save some money towards another tube and go with Lunar Blue.
I am sorry but I have to say something, you have good videos as far as content, you are a great artist, kind of partial, but what is so tiresome is that you talk so terribly slow, sometimes it’s like the words won’t come out,or you’re searching for the words, then you spend so much time on secondary things instead of what the main objective is. Repetitive too. I’m sorry you will say to just skip and go to another video, but as I said your content is great, but you are also a you-tuber,you need to know how to talk and present. It has to flow, otherwise it can become boring and really tiring.Maybe you need to do some preparation,at least outline main points what you will talk about. Many times it’s really hard to listen, sorry.
Kelly R. Wilson Looks like you really have enough time to write such a long comment to me, which wasn’t even addressed to you, and besides that I am free to express my opinion just like anyone else. It wasn’t meant to not be nice, I expressed how I was feeling listening to the video. As far as going into details, talking about chronically ill, brain fog, etc..I didn’t get personal and I wouldn’t.But looks like you are, you researched this or just making it up as you go? I actually think that you insulted her, because whether she has those problems or not, I don’t think she would want to advertise it to the entire RUclips population. And with all do respect, this was not any of your business
I kept skipping through this video because she was constantly trailing off mid sentence and either switching to an entirely unrelated topic or repeating herself, so despite what others will say, you're right. Constructive criticism never hurt anyone and I agree that the video's quality would skyrocket had it been scripted, as the actual content and setup is enjoyable to watch.
Personally - I love the pace of Alyona’s videos. I suffer from Complex PTSD and generalized anxiety and her videos are calming to me. Also, as a typical American, I find her accent so very charming. These videos are free. She is sharing her time, talent, creative process, and expensive paint with us. Sometimes gratitude can be a good thing for both parties!! Cheers everyone.
OH SHUSH. Stop putting others down! There is an option to speed up a video, use that, as no one else has a problem with her talking speed. I find her videos very relaxing and your comment is just extremely rude. She can create her videos however she wants... it's her life and her videos. If you don't like it then move on. 22K+ subscribers would disagree with you. I bet you don't even have that many people that like you. Since it's been a whole year since you made that comment, I wonder if you have grown to become a better person.
Wow, you picked out some gorgeous paints. Love that lunar blue and the cobalt blue violet.
Gorgeous!! Sodalite genuine and Lunar blue are a couple staples on my palette! Thanks for sharing!

A little tip, next time to mix back the binding with the pigments use a toothpick, so you don’t waist any paint.
As soon as I watched the video back I had exactly the same thought :))
I love those blues !

How are you liking that book the painted art journal? Have you reviewed ?
Are Lunar blue and Blue Apatite genuine really different, I mean would you get both? I have a hard time choosing... Thank you 🙏

I Love your videos 💜💜 I ordered the exact same colors because I absolutely love them !!! Thank You so much for sharing 💜💜 hugs 🤗- Lucina 💜💜
The "t" is silent in the word soften. Of course a bigger swatch is going to look more interesting and more texture
If the "t" is silent, how do you pronounce "soften", then? "Soffen"? Regards from someone who wants to learn proper English language.
Paynes -Yes. 😊
