I was wondering how your bike is holding up re: reliability. I work in a bike shop (have been in that industry since 2004.) and I've come across just a handful of XRs, one R and one RR (1st gen all of them) and they all needed engine work VERY early on (most before 15.000km). The S1000R I rode 2 years ago is still one of the best bikes I ever had a ride on and I would absolutely LOVE to own the XR. Great videos, much love from Croatia.
Thanks! I follow the S1000XR forums and Facebook groups and for the most part these bikes are very reliable. A bad water pump, a stuck ignition and other minor issues are things that come up every once in a while, but they are rare considering the many R/XR/RRs are out there being wrung out every ride (to include mine) without issues. Been wondering where you @cubanrider. What tyres you use on yours I jus bought Bridgestone s22 made a hell of difference to the handling of the bike slot stiffer tho so now dynamic is has to be used on perfect roads which we don't have many in the UK, and now were on lockdown and weather is beautiful which once again we don't get alot of over hear. Yes Sir! El corsa corta es lo que le quiero poner a la mía ya que se me arruinó la palanca de freno cuando se cayó la moto. Todavía ando con gomas Bridgestone S22, son muy buenas.
Shit I just realized I replied in the wrong language, haha. Yeah man, S22s and want to do the Corsa brake upgrade since mine broke when the bike went down. Can't wait to put it back together.
@Cuban Rider Hey, thank you for the content. Just curious, what trye pressures do you run for road use? I've found the stock pressures waaaaay too high. Can't do a run to set them up for my use case, since we're almost all "grounded", so I'm just stuck here asking around.
I agree about the stock pressures being high, great for tire wear and loading the bike up, not so great for corner grip. I normally run it as I would on a track, around 30-32 psi cold. It depends on the temperature that day and whether I'm going to be riding with my wife, in that case I would bump it up to around 34 cold.
that's a good tire for sure. I keep getting crazy good deals on the Bridgestone S21/S22, so that's what I keep buying... usually buy a set for under $200 with the rebate.
Great videos, really enjoy watching. Wondering what camera and chin mount you're using? I assume you have an aux mic in the helmet or? Great engine sound! Thanks!
Hey, thanks for watching! The camera is an older GoPro Hero5 Session using GoPro's adapter that allows you to feed it power and an external mic. Now if GoPro would only make a Hero8 "Session" that would be phenomenal, but in the meanwhile the older camera still puts out decent quality and it's nice and compact. The only mic I use is tucked in my helmet, in the future I'd like to use an additional external microphone to pick up some of the exhaust sound better, but I have to admit the helmet mic works better than I had ever expected.
@@CubanRider Great, thanks. I have a Hero 5 as well (and a 7), the 5 does very well. I have the GoPro aux adapter too. Just to be clear- You're using a helmet chin mount and have both the Aux GpPro dongle and the external power mounted on your helmet (on the chin mount)? I've been using a side helmet mount, and thinking about using a mount like you're using.

Hey DEG, I usually run about the same pressures whether at the track or the mountains, roughly 30 psi cold. I might adjust depending on the temperature or if I'm riding with the Mrs, but 30/30 for my weight is a good starting point on a hot day riding solo

Can we get some more pleeeeez
Hey Cuban,
What tire pressures you use on the streets?
And track?
Thanks!
Hey DEG, I usually run about the same pressures whether at the track or the mountains, roughly 30 psi cold. I might adjust depending on the temperature or if I'm riding with the Mrs, but 30/30 for my weight is a good starting point on a hot day riding solo
Just bought a brand new S1000XR (Triple Black colour scheme). What exhaust and ECU tune do you use, if any?
The Triple Black is beautiful, on one of my recent videos I follow a triple black up the mountain.
Hi there! What do you think about the new s1k xr 2020? plz review if you got to drive 1
I'll be looking for the owner of the new one when I get back to see if we can swap rides.
A state might help! How do you suppress wind noise?
good video... but that traction control light is really distracting
U can adjust the line in the curve easely... Fucking machine!!!! She love Tweastiees
She's a handler for sure!
"See you next summer" it's like next summer or this summer? ))))
Preferred the old one with analog tacho. New one just has tft 😝
Agreed, I really like the analog tachometer. I'm sure I will get used to the digital one in future bikes, the BMW ones are very good.
thank you
