Force them to defend their monsterous opinions in front of real people. Impress on the true LARGEST VOTING DEMOGRAPHIC, people who DON'T VOTE, "THIS IS THE LAST ELECTION WE WILL EVER HAVE".
Then remind them that voting is unlikely to work, because they said violence if they lose again. We need them to KNOW, the people will not stand for mass round ups of minorities and political opposition. Name a single country in history with these ideas who weren't the VILLAINS OF HISTORY.

One thing that strikes me when I look at the behavior of the US is how much weight is given to belief over reason, and in particular about individual's beliefs. And also how individuals feel entitled, feel like they have a mission, to impose their beliefs to the rest of the people, and how their beliefs are the only true ones.
To me that's where a big difference lies, and that's what's causing the current crisis in the US with crazy partisanship nearing civil war

They carry baggage of hate and very self centered, lacking a moral compass in themselves. This gets carried out in projecting onto others of their self hatred. I had a maga roommate back in 2020. I woke up to him trying to recruit me as a sniper or some weirdness on election night as trump lost. This hasn't left my mind in the past three years. We're no longer roommates but I follow him occasionally on social media and I see the same hateful fear based talk that he had then. I really don't like to imagine horrible outcomes but that Jan 6 vibe is definitely still a thing here in the deep south. But like then, time went by and everyone just sorta moved on so I am mostly optimistic. Also, when he tried to recruit me back then I kindly took him out for beers and pizza. Successful de-escalation.
