You could’ve just used the stencil like a sticker and have put them on the shoe before you painted it red and then take the sticker off it would be whatever color are your shoe Originally was a lot easier

To make a template for that stencil, stick small squares of masking tape on the area of the shoe , once it’s covered peal off the tape and you’ll have a flat plan of that area, then cut round it on the stencil then stick it to your shoe.
