  • What is happening in our mind? Is this really ’me’ thinking and feeling? This film shows how to approach answers to these questions by meditation.
    Many thanks to all the supporters of this film, without whom it would not have been possible. Special thanks to the actor, Win Thanrawin. And to Kapagama Musikverlag, sponsor of the music (www.kapagama.com). Thank you!
    This film was shot using a Panasonic SD707, a GoPro Hero 3 and an iPhone 6. It was edited in Final Cut Pro Studio.

    NIbbana is not something that is not.. it is something that is. But is is beyond all definition, it is not conditioned. This video is excellent. It takes more than a quarter of an hour thought to see what it speaks of.. it takes a long time of hard practice.

    i keep resharing this video because 1811 views is ridiculous for such a precious gem of Dhamma that explains the Mind in such easy to understand terms. This video deserves 100, million views

    This is probably the most comprehensive explanation of Buddha-Dhamma, and the approach to practice the path that leads to the end of suffering, in simple clear manner, that was ever made as a video

    Great video of profound teaching. Good to see my neighborhood in it. Thanks for producing this. It's a nice change from dharma talk videos of endless hours of monks sitting in front of a camera (not that it's bad). Please keep producing them. Please keep them coming.

    working in a stressful bpo environment and having financial and personal problems in the past few months.. I definitely need this!...i'm no buddhist myself but this philosophy have answered most of my epistemological and cosmological questions that I have stored for many years while growing up. might be practicing more meditation or reading about the dharma in the future though.. thank you so much for this insightful video its quite enlightening.. greetings from the philippines

    Well this is great but it is not Easy to just ignore and ”Watch” your emotions and feelings

    • @mdesignffm
      @mdesignffm  3 года назад +2

      no, just watching and not following thoughts and emotions is not easy. it takes practice. but it is not a competition. you will benefit from every time you try, even if you do not succeed every time.

    Good. But, can you please explain this idea of "true self"? According to the Buddhas teaching as I comprehend it, there is no "self" at all. At least, not according to the teaching of dependent origination, as I comprehend it.

    • @mdesignffm
      @mdesignffm  8 лет назад +1

      you are right. there is no such thing as a self. but what is there? when we meditate, we can find out. 'true self' is just a name for a state beyond our mind that we need to find out about. the buddha's teachings show the way, but we need to walk this way alone, just on our own. good luck!

      +Krabong Yaksha The nature of that which we call a self, is ever changing and has no inherent permanent properties.. like the water of the river
      however.. it exists. Just not as a permanent unchanging thing we call an inherent self.. so misunderstood this concept. The thing that is always changing as is everything, is called a superself by Hindus (paramatman) that same thing which is, but is not this, is not that, is not this, nor is it that, and every changing, is called not self by the Buddhists. It is what it is, dont try to define it.. Just be with it. if you stop believing in a false idea of a self.. dont worry, the experience wont pop into thin air.. you wont cease to exist.. at least not until you become something else.. ask a field that was once a mountain and once an ocean.. and is still, and never was.. it is just there, as it is.. always changing..

    Good video, but I feel the title "Our mind is not our friend" is a bad title. It could make you think of your mind as the enemy, and any time your mind does not do what you want, create extra tension and anger because "the mind is not our friend".
