Such a great theme, so sad that they didnt implement any more epic music for the rest of the game. Only heard once, and it seriously isnt enough. Sound is such an important thing in videogames, developers dont pay enough attention to it, and even though D3 has amazing audio effects, they could have done better with the music part.
Okay, let's not forget that it was very far from a masterpiece but it was turned into a great game eventually. If they kept it as it was at the beginning then I would be still playing Torchlight2. To be fair TL2 lacked on the content side. As in while I loved the game, both visually and gameplay wise it was really same-y all over the gameworld. Meanwhile D3 managed to present even not that different enemies in a way that made them fresh. Damn I feel nostalgic, should probably play both... and while at it, the Doom and Quake series, the holy trinity of DukeNukem3d/ShadowWarrior/Blood, System Shock 2 and the Thief series (Dishonored included of course :) )... and cnc... and... damn, I have a lot to do! Poor me... It cannot be overstated that we live in such a good age though I admit I'm curious what sort of games will be made in a thousand years. Okay, probably porn games will thrive and cause the extinction of either the whole of humanity or at least the gaming crowd.
At the boundary of light and shadow, lies the children of both worlds, the Nephalem. Capable of great good and great evil alike, they are like no beings before them. This is their story. This is their theme.
Kyle Dolor i think its rather younger retro gamers that mind than "older" ones... but to break it down: it turned from dark rock-goth splatter game with >very< little plot in D1 into a dark quite plotheavy cinematic bloody adventure game in D3. (D2 had just more maps more classes and a wee bit more plot but other than that it stuck quite closely to the original. cant tell for the online gameplay because i didnt really care squat for it) personally i quite enjoyed D3 even with its flaws but i think most people feel like it strayed too much from its original atmosphere and became too fluffy/similar to other adventuregames. imo they would have needed to pick a completely different artstyle and gameplay to "moderize" the original atmosphere but hey people will always yell about changes. they still have to be tried out to learn how to improve things in future ^^;
Kyle Dolor To keep it short it was mostly to do about the completely different art direction, which I agree I hate as well. The Diablo games always realistic graphics and it really helped to pull you into it's world and feel like you're there.
What's this "woman sometimes mystically screaming into the music" genre? As in does it have a name? I sorta like it but searching for similar stuff isn't easy.
Kokuyous3ki TvTropes calls this the “one woman wail”. I’m not sure if it has an “official” name but you might find other scores like it by searching through their list of examples - tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OneWomanWail.
@@dimitribazos1532 Thx, fitting title if I've ever seen one :) I definitely had issues with Diablo3 but despite playing the sh*t out of Diablo 1, 2, Torchlight 1,2, Path of Exile (hell, I even have the Van Helsing games), D3 still holds a very dear spot in my heart. Blizz did a very good job on the overally theme or mood of the game. I miss it, should probably install it again and give the new season a go...
There is a few problems with Diablo 3, like the auction house, but i have chosen not to use it and i have not had any problems of late defeating any of the monsters or bosses i have encountered with looted gear.
So pumped when I bought this game but now this game is dead and they goin to remove Auction House so they can make the old players to come back heh is not gonna work xD
Diablo was one of the first dark fantasy themed games I seen
As it's one of the first ones ever made, yea, I can see why :)

amazing music, masterpiece of arrangement
If I may interject, wasn't this the Diablo battle theme?

The REAL Diablo 3.
As a D2 fanboy, D3 ain't that bad.
Yea, I just feel like it doesn't quite do Diablo II justice... (Though three was good in its own right)
Right man I am playing D1 now just for nostalgia stake. All there games are good in my opinion.
What do old players don't like in D3?

The potential this game had all wasted

I’m not Spanish but I can make this out, since I am smart. “Diablo, Belial and Azmodan disliked this”
