I’m a born and raised Angeleno. I was eleven when Shaq and Kobe won the first of the 3peat. When Kobe died it felt like a piece of my childhood was ripped out of my chest.
I’m so happy that Kobe will truly be getting his flowers with these past generations getting to do interviews. He was everyone’s favorite player at one point
He’s one of the best to ever do it. It’s really nice seeing it like you say because gah damn so many casuals and ppl like Nick Wright just shouldn’t even talk😂
These Kobe stories are timeless. I can sit and listen to NBA players recite them all day. It just goes to show you the respect, love, and inspiration he had on every young player around the league. I know they all miss his wisdom and knowledge of the game.
Kobe being gone is such a rough subject for me, but hearing these legends of the game spit truth about how amazing it was to be around him. Not on the same team, not playing at all, just *around* him. Makes me tear up dawg.
It's been a while since I was able to watch video's about Kobe without crying and starting to tear up. I'm getting better with it, but still miss my guy and am still pissed about his senseless death. Getting the seal of approval from Kobe gave so many players the confidence they needed to level-up. RIP Kobe Mamba Mentality forever.
Kobe is unappreciated when it comes to changing the game, the way players study each other Kobe was that, everybody yells Kobe when shooting anything, his swag, arrogance the loyalty & his dedication how players talk about the game now is all Kobe!.

One thing I loved about Kobe he was always bringing up the young guys and giving tips and motivation for the next generation cause he knew he wouldn’t be in the league forever. You rarely hear stories about shaq bringing up the young guys he’s always hating on them about something
These stories are the reason why I don’t listen to the media or fans when it comes to the stupid, perpetual conversation of who’s the GOAT. The players, those who played against these guys, is all we should be listening to.
I was not a Kobe fan at all when he played. I respected him but didn’t like him. When he retired I missed him and when he died I cried. He demanded that type of respect for what he did for the game and I’m happy he was in the NBA, even if I couldn’t stand him. Like that mean big brother 😂
