You know what, I'm proud to say that I'm subscribed to your Channel splat. You don't care that this game could of got a ton of hate because it's a mincraftish game, you just do a gameplay video of it anyway because you think it is a fun game and you want to show it of to people that might like it. So thank you splat for making content that you are happy with instead of trying to cater to everyone and anyone.
Metals show up at bedrock level, 1 miner per metal / coal source. Also Starvation Super Lethal, at 0 food colonist start dieing randomly including sleeping colonists. You can manually farm.
Cool to see you play a Minecraft-style game! You could build multistory houses and roofed guard towers, even a small forestry town with archers. This is gunna be a dope play through, me thinks 🤘🏻
From what I've seen on other youtubers: The workbench is useless, it's autocrafting when you can instantly build anything. You need a ton of farms, like a ton, a third of your peeps atleast. You can take a bow in your own hand and shoot. An archer seems to be handle five colonists worth of zambees. You have to get down to the black stone before you see minerals. 10x10 farms are the max one farmer can do.
Splat likes survival so I think TerraFirmaCraft mod would be a great fit for him. RUclipsrs have had problems with retaining their "relevance" when they inevitably get bored with MC and wants to shift to other games. But I think it'd be fine for Splat if he just do it on the sides along with his other indie stuff.
Pro-tip when cutting wood in those kind of games, start by the second log block instead of the base log, so you can jump on that first one to reach one block higher ;) I hate floating trees too :D
It would be cool to see if you could get sword guards that actually do normal stuff during the day and guard at night. They chop down zombies when they get near and would be useful for guarding doors.
Just a tip try to build farms and fields outside of the wall and homes inside of the wall farms don't need to be safe and if you put the villagers inside the wall it can become a much more populated village in a smaller space

I remember trying to do a controlled burn of one of those tall oak trees in early minecraft(those evil things). I spent 4 hours replanting the forest that day(hacked the saplings in).
Who else thinks this game feels a little bit like Kingdom? It may not be a side-scroller, but it's got that sort of night defender, colony expanding sort of vibe to it.
Hay splatter, a suggestion. Some people (like me) enjoy the video abbot more if you know what things do, other wise it makes those of us go bonkers. Thanks!!

Tbh I really like the look of this, its like building stuff has a point and you can automate things. Like some sorta Minecraft Factorio crossup.

You get minerals by going to the dark stone ( at the bottom of the world ) and put a miner there and it will do everything for you

I think making 1 fortification in the mine near the entrance and shoving 1 archer in it would suffice for any surprises that may arise.

All he needs to do is, leave the lowest trunk and jump build 1 or 2 up, No ghost trees >< ppl like him are why forests burn, in MC.
