this is not voice cracking, this is switching between registers and that's the magic behind yodelling. it's mastering your voice to its maximum, *pure art*

There should be crack in your voice though ..my voice always breaks when I song ...surprisingly 8ts kinda seem easy to me.. I've watched this tutorial again .. today I did some good yodelling and I came back to see what's missing.

When you switch registers and produce an unintended and noticeable break, it's called cracking. If you intentionally do it, it's called yodel. Normal singing teachers will teach you to smoothly switch between chest and head voice.
It's literally and technically... Voice cracking. It does not mean necessarily ugly or bad (if it is a stylistic choice, at least).
Switching between registers can also be seamless and clean.

This is awsome, my great grandfather used to yodel all the time, though he was very quiet when he did and I was never around to actually hear him do it. But now I can continue his yodels by learning myself.
I was having a lot of difficulty with this technique.

I've been having the same problem too, LOL. It's only like, today that I've gotten the hang of it. I watched another RUclipsr who helped me figure it out. Basically, add more breath into it. Don't make it so connected.

Been singing songs from an artist who uses some of these techniques in their music. Looking up yodeling tutorials was the ONLY way i could find any info on this lmao. I've been able to do it in some cases for a long time, but I need to practice more so I can use these techniques any time I want

I believe I was yodeling as a kid, I just didn’t know that’s what it was. I did the voice breaking a lot when I’d sing, people didn’t like it but I sure loved how it sounded and still do. I hope I can figure out how to do it right! Thanks for the video!
