I like Suki. I wish they kept her in the franchise. I also wish that the whole franchise was about street racing and nothing else. Cause that's what people pay to see.
@@lauralarrabee7870 It got kind of crazy with F5, but it was still semi decent. It's like any sort of realism ended with Paul Walker's involvement, because of his untimely passing.

@@coom6932 No, I'm just using context clues from later in the race. If he was able to catch up to a guy after a shot of NOS, even after initially falling behind because of it, it means that he could easily have passed the guy earlier, like at 0:49, prolly beat him to the turn because of 1:04, and certainly passed him at 1:31. Brian clearly isn't concerned in that moment. I could go on, but I think I've made my point. Brian wanted to give everyone a show, just like Tej. Yup, she knew she was beat the second she saw Brian, but she raced anyway, for respect, outracing the guy that was talking down to her. She even took the final jump when she had no chance at winning, for pride's sake.

5:43 ohhhh because last time he raced and used Nos, it blew apart his car (The green Eclipse in the first movie)… he’s happy because it finally worked.
@grege3996 you forgot Tokyo Drift? Also, every movie has at least two races, one at the beginning to set the scene (like this race) and another one in the middle when they need to get something from somewhere. The other races just do not use this type of cheap super modden cars with body kits, vinyls and weird colors anymore, we see more muscle cars etc instead. But saying there are barly any races in the series after this is just plain wrong.
And take this in Need for speed underground was inspired by this movie because they used the sound of Brian’s skyline in the cutscenes and the felt inspired by the bride scene too
This is honestly a great movie, we get to see people like Tej become an inspiration. From car mechanic to double PhD in Astrophysics and Engineering and in 20 years time he became an astronaut.
This is the fast movie I've been really missed now. Its only belongs to midnight races with less actions. I wished they make a full movie of prelude turbo charge. Sorry for my grammar 😉
Oh, if only neon was still available. I still have some 12-18" tubes from back in the day Street Glow was licensed with the F&F series. A diecast car came with each one. The neon was (personally) a better aesthetic and quite the product for its time, from the 50s to early 2000s. Sure they're delicate, not as bright, and ambient temperature sensitive compared to LED strips... but still a better image. LED strips can be really tasteful or tacky depending on location and car. A lot of muscle car (modern and classic) guys in my area have them wired up (underbody and in engine bay) and it looks very wrong in most cases. My '99 Eclipse has some slim line purple tubes but rarely do I switch them on, but nice to have on when driving down dark-dark roads. They're both products of the era.
I like Suki. I wish they kept her in the franchise. I also wish that the whole franchise was about street racing and nothing else. Cause that's what people pay to see.
Right on I stopped watching after all the outlandish stunts. Just give me a good car chase and we’re good.

Be like Suki, staying the last place from the start, no giving up and finishing the second place.
what a lesson
Even did the jump, just to prove she could. It wasn't about trying to be first at that point, it was about finishing the race for pride.
Well only Hollywood would an S2000 be able to keep up with the fastest Japan had to offer.

Brian's Skyline: *have a wing*
Suki's Honda S2000 : *also have a wing*
Slapjack's Supra : *same*
Juliet's RX7 : *im no "wing" man*

How could this short clip be more realistic and exciting than the whole Fast 9?
Because the early ones were much more grounded. Paul Walker must have been responsible for that.
Man, the '12 speed' manual gearbox plus NOS just to go 100 mph/160 kph looked impressive back then
according to google its actually 99.4 but back then speeds like that are impressive
