My dad had race cars when I was growing up so I kind of lived in this world. He had a duster that would do a wheelstand like doms charger. I was lucky enough to show him and let him drive my 500 horsepower 4banger that could beat Ferraris and lambos before cancer took him in 06. Now I'm passing my knowledge and experience to my kids. Helped my oldest son build a diesel Dakota with a 4 cylinder Cummins. I have a couple of classic muscle that I built in honor of my dad but now I mostly build super strong trucks. I still have the van he built for my mom, a 77 ford econoline with a 429 cobra jet and a C6 trans. My wife calls it the A-team van. It was the only good thing my dad ever did while he was a terrible father he taught me a skill to pass down

I like the chase scene a bit more than the final race but the whole ending of this movie is basically the greatest like 15 minutes ever in movies, it's almost non stop action only broken up by tense moments, it may have a bit of that 2000s corniness to it with the music and the slo mo but man what a great ending
One of my favorite scenes in the entire series. This is a perfect use of diverting expectations, with the use of the slow-mo cam as they approach the tracks, the feeling you get that Dom isn't going to make it. They both leap across the tracks, narrowly avoiding the train. And just when you let out a sigh of relief, WHAM! That semi comes out of no where. Great screen writing.

The clip at 0:56 from the back was awesome just the editing alone showing how fast they’re racing down the road is probably one of the best races in the franchise

This was actually an unexpected crash by dom and the only actual accidental crash so yeah, the others either he purposely did it or lost control.
Such an iconic shot with the two cars passing the railway with the train behind them at full speed. In my opinion, there is no Fast and Furious franchise, it ended with this film only.

I don’t know how I ended up with this DVD in my house but I did. It literally help mold me into who I am today. This scene taught me selflessness & accountability. Yes, if you didn't watch the past ending credits. It shows Dom in Mexico as he escapes and is now driving a Chevelle SS as the "Quarter Mile At a Time" Dialogue plays as he drives off into the sunset. Plus, unless you watched the Prelude of 2F2F, you'll understand a bit more how Brian moved on as he too now was on the run as he also was technically a criminal now too since he basically helped Dom escape as well.

I live right next to such a crossing. We might do things differently over here in the UK but at my crossing and every other crossing I know of, the barriers go down a full MINUTE at least before the train actually arrives. If there's 2 trains arriving within 5 minutes of each other, the barriers stay down until the second train has passed (usually in the opposite direction to the first train)

0:40 Probably one of the coolest shots ever and probably the coolest a dude has ever looked driving a car, ever. I can't even count how many times I've watched and rewinded this whole scene over the years. I don't think I exaggerate when I say that this movie is revolutionary.

u put enough money into a tuner .... tuner will outlast and hang or even beat a v8 or a mucle car ...
with mucle cars the more power the engine has the MORE PRESTINE the conditions on the track have to be
with a tuner u put 10k into the hoood and u will probably run 8 seconds on the track and it will outlast a mucle for sure on length of life alone ..

So let me get this straight, 6 seconds into a 10 second race, the train lights start flashing and the arm starts to drop. Then exactly 4 seconds later the train has ALREADY arrived? They really should check how those lights and gates are configured and provide more of a delay. Somebody could get hurt!!
I live right next to such a crossing. We might do things differently over here in the UK but at my crossing and every other crossing I know of, the barriers go down a full MINUTE at least before the train actually arrives. If there's 2 trains arriving within 5 minutes of each other, the barriers stay down until the second train has passed (usually in the opposite direction to the first train)
