The Dutch the Clutch episode took me so off guard. I just remember crying like a baby the first time I saw it. It came out of nowhere for me how serious it got and how REAL it felt. This show is absolutely amazing just because they've nailed down how to go from hilarious to ridiculous to extremely emotional to serious back to hilarious seemlessly. That's what keeps bringing me back time and time again.
The episode made no sense though. Insurance companies do NOT insure people for risk taking behavior, not then not cover cancer/etc. the whole premise are no sense. It was well acted-but that part made it impossible to take seriously.
@@stephanien6237 Former insurance salesman here. While you're correct, and insurance companies don't typically WANT to insure someone for things that could be potentially hazardous, if it's a person's job (stunt performers, stunt doubles, etc.) there are special insurance policies that will cover loss of income in the event of injury or death. The policy they talk about in the show was pretty vague, so I can't say it was to cover LOI, but maybe? Also, life insurance companies will absolutely decline someone with a terminal condition. It's scummy af, and one of the big reasons I no longer work in insurance.
I love that Gus had to remind him to do the psychic bit. Also if you pay attention, you can tell that Captian Vick never really believed he was psychic. Shaun's dad must of told her the truth in the pilot and she gave him a chance.
