Actually the Kinetik 2400 is the same physical size as both the Shuriken and D3100. The Kinetik 3800 is a larger physical battery. Doesn't really matter though, because the D3100 still out performs the Kinetik 3800. Just look at the Audio Competition lanes. The majority of the world champions are running XS Power. The majority of the world records are powered by XS Power, and XS Power isn't the company giving batteries away to competitors.
Would love to see another comparison featuring XS Power vs Northstar and VMAX. LOTS of hype about Northstar online, I'm sure many are curious if it is warranted (and yes, I've seen the video that was done by the Northstar rep, I'd just like to see it run again with the XS Power guys behind the load tester.... or even better an unbiased 3rd party tester)
I think they left north star off on purpose. There is a third party comparison of the north star to the XS power. Guess which one performed better?? I'm not biased I own XS power batteries.
Thanks for posting this video. This is a great example of the fact that you get what you pay for. The XS batteries are impressive without a doubt. I will be doing a follow up to this video on my channel with the 16V versions of these batteries.
@smokeypitbull There is no way to tell until you install it. If you have 600amps of alternator power and were pulling 500amps total, then you would never see battery voltage. The one thing that would be certain though is that battery 1 would drop lower than battery 2 and the D3100, and battery 2 would drop lower than the D3100 in the same application.
Just got my D3100 In yesterday but i am a little disapointed with the design. Why do you guys put such small post's on such a nice battery. Why not put a nice THICK 3/8 Stud in there?
Id like to see this exact same test ran in reverse. So the kinetek would have similar testing to the xs power, for a better comparison between the two. Of course with the middle battery there just to keep it the same.
@smokeypitbull There are way to many variables added into the scenario when you talk about what the voltage drop would be in a car. The alternator power, wiring, grounds, equipment, and accessories would be different in every scenario. This is basically showing what the voltage drops to on a 500 amp load for 30 seconds.
could you please, translate what that would in a car audio application . like you pulled a 500 amp load for 30 secs, so if you where to play a tone for 30secs in a car what would it show
cool video xs, subscribed. i know that 3100 is the best battery here, but i have that shuriken bt120 in my suv, and i gotta tell ya, for about 2/3 the price, it holds up well, as seen with these other big boys. but my next one will be xs power for sure. deka is up there also
Now that's what I'm talking about. Hands down, no argument, the clear winner is XS Power. The original burst was 574 amps. Then Scottie backed it down to 500. And it still held a higher voltage. Well down.
Very nice. Does anyone know how much RMS wattage 500ah would supply? Like a 5,000-6,000 RMS watt car stereo system and for how long before voltage drops and recharging will be needed?
how would this battery hold up with no alternator ?? i wanna buy one of you back-stock d3100s and use it on a intelli-charger drawing only around 140 amps.... do you think i would drop below 12 volts?? thanks alot hope to hear back :D
Would this battery (the XS d3100) be okay for a stand-alone (not connected to the car electrical system) 1200-1500 watt system? Wanting it to last the day and bring it in for charging at night until I can get a Mechman alt,
why wasn't there a Odyssey PC2150/31 battery in the mix.. I think u use lower class batteries to compare to. i live to see a Odyssey PC2150/31 vs a XS battery.
@@DibeezyTheGifted No they don't, I have one powering my subs. I've installed hundreds in semi trucks. They are one of the highest rated AGM batteries in the world. Manufactured by Enersys.
If this video is legit which looks like it is, thats insane. it actually had a 550 amp burst on the D 3100 50 amps more that the other batteries and still manged a volt higher that the rest.
use a load tester on each battery started at the same time with all money you have you should be able to afford three load testers, i ran these all in my car and the kinetic always outperformed, especially at 12 volts, the xs is only good if u can keep the voltage up to 14.4 but if u keep the voltage up at 14.4 with a kinetik itll still outperform, for the cheaper price you cant beat the xs but if youre mean to ur equipment like running half ohm loads go with kinetik
Why would he need 3 load testers? Each battery got 30 seconds. So it would still be the same test. Just costing triple the money for no apparent reason. Wasting triple the money just because you say so is hilarious.
@@ricardomolina4605 for a real world test live you need three load testers operating at the same time. Each time you heat up tester it will change the result. Soo using three unit at once will yield a closer result
Whoa! Can't believe how many people think that Kinetics are better than XS. Go learn something about how both batteries are built and come back. (With your new XS most likely)
Makes me laugh some of the comments. It's simple really. Like everything in life, there is choice, and personal preference. So if you don't like xs, then get another battery from another company!
the 2400 is rated waayyy less amps, than the 3100 wtf this is a lie, ad the shuriken held its own and its rated for less wattage as well, am i wron is that a 2400? please respond because i do know that is a 3100, and im 99 percent sure the kinetik is a 2400, youre comparing a battery ratek for 2400 watts against a battery rated for 3100, fail
Not sold on this video. The guy testing works for XS power. Too many factors, thats all. Not saying anything bad about the video but who knows if the other Batts were fully charged etc... Not trying to be an @s$ also.
@RobCarnag3 World Record breakers do, man. After watching this test it is clear that the XS holds up better on the 500a/30sec load. However, the XS is more expensive. Not that the extra capacity isn't worth it. The Kinetik HC2400 runs for around $300 and the XS Power runs for around $350. They are both worth every penny you spend on them. I'm very surprised how well the Shuriken did on this test though, lol. I just don't hear much about those guys.

almost a full volt difference wow thats significant in the lanes and on the street very nice vid

Yes
Just bought a d3400!! Cant wait to see the difference it has
I would like to have seen an Odyssey pc2150 in that test. I think it would be a lot closer since they're the only 2 dual power type agm group 31's.

I'm surprised that the Shuriken held up better than the Kinetik. But DAMN that XS is fricken beast mode.

@ XS Power Batteries if I get the 3100 would i have to upgrade my big 3?
Can you test a Odyssey PC2150/31 Compared to a XS battery

Do a test with a 50 amp load for 5 minutes that wouldbe interesting.
yeah it would
@4xspower how does the XS power D3100 compare in price
@iloveporn412 The more batteries you have the more capacity you have to pull from, so on the same amperage pull the voltage wouldn't drop as much.
and this is why I bought 2 of your xs power batteries :D
deka is the best! I tried all 3
can you put a d3100 in as a regular car battery replacement??
what was the middle battery?
Perhaps a bit off topic, but how does that load tester work/what's inside it?
Test ground zero batteries (12.3500) also and optimas (75ah)! And another popular batts.
I like xs power, that being said I have two hc2000 with over 4000 watts and my voltage doesnt drop below 14.2.
