Elon Musk's Twitter Rebrand is Backfiring

- In this video I discuss how the rebranding of Twitter to X has caused the app to be blocked in several countries and by different content filters, as well as how Elon Musk's request to remove the blocking feature from X could result in the app getting delisted from the Apple app store and the Google Play store.

How to destroy a company: Remove features, Rebrand to something closely related to adult content, and finally be cocky as a CEO.
All the metrics related to content are surging on X. Content creators are being paid as well while platforms like this are adding more advertisements and less payouts for the people that actually do the work and make videos. Nice cope though.
@@krastinovmTwitter has lost 50% of it’s advertising revenue. Elon is ruining the site for anyone using it for business, be that artists, journalists, or companies that work THROUGH twitter for various reasons. If you are so blind to this man’s clear flaming downward spiral, I think you should re-evaluate what you view as “success”. Because this ain’t it.
@@primordialwackass user minutes drives revenue growth and those metrics are improving. Here’s some additional context for the previous hit in ad revenue: legacy journalists and companies left the site. This is because they are government captured propaganda machines. Of course they would leave with their money and X would take a hit. This is ultimately good, the opportunity to build back X without biased interference is a huge win for freedom of speech and it leads to better citizen content. When viewership grows, market forces will bring back ad revenues. Elon Musk oozes success and only those with slave morality think he’s in a “flaming downward spiral”. In fact he’s so successful, our two tiered justice system is finding ways to penalize his various enterprises with bogus lawsuits.

Elon is proving to be quite a failure on every level on this deal. Almost feels like he's a WEF shill.
Always has been.
Yes, it’s definitely not his fault that he’s an imbecile, it’s ze microchip from Davos.
WEF is a boomer tier conspirtard talking point. It’s Jews/Israel. Grow up and get with the program. Literally the only thing still censored on Twitter is Jew talk. The ADL determines who gets banned, the new CEO just sat down with some Jewish group to promise that she’s going to ban all anti-semites. Elon allows for, promotes, and even participates in, the WEF talk. They are 100% comfortable with you talking about Klaus Schwab. They aren’t comfortable with Les Wexner, Jared Kushner, and Jonathan Greenblatt talk.
@@Kuznet609he didn’t found PayPal and he definitely didn’t found OpenAI. He founded a payment platform that was floundering until it was acquired by PayPal, and he got fired from PayPal for being a terrible coworker and desperately pushing for it to be renamed X. With OpenAI, he provided $50 million in seed capital out of a total of $1 billion, and claims he came up with the name. And lastly, Starlink is just satellite internet with the Elon Musk branding slapped onto it to justify being far more expensive than its competitors. Even then, it’s not profitable without government contracts and subsidies, just like Tesla and SpaceX.
Getting your company bought out by a competitor, and investing .5% of the seed capital in a startup is NOT founding a successful company. It’s the same bullshit lies he’s been pulling off for decades, just like how he sued Tesla’s real founders so he could be listed as a “founder”.
My conspiracy brain feels the same but realistically elon musk was never a political intellectual, he has no actual core philosophy.
The block feature on Twitter was more than just hiding anything the block user does, it also prevents the blocked user from even seeing your content (very often, it just leads to the blocked user switching to an alt account).
Twitter also has, a "mute" feature that basically shadowbans the user from your frontend. I believe this one is staying, and it is litterally just like hiding your eyes and closing your ears, so this change might not get "X" banned from the stores.
Mental outlaw is anti Elon. Some of his claims are dubious. Like saying threads probably got a lot of users from threads advertising. It is not really known if that is true and last I heard thread active users have dropped off dramatically.
block is redundant since they can just make a new account
I don't think blocking should hide your content from others. It's encouraged too many malicious actors to block a target and then spread the most vile accusations while being effectively invisible to the victim. Brand recognition is everything in social media. Facebook, RUclips, Twitter. There’s a reason MySpace still has more of a presence in popular awareness than even more popular modern sites. To throw that away just bc you want to call it X is just so silly
He could have created a separate X app and then integrated Twitter with it, without discarding the Twitter brand. It is utterly idiotic what he has done. If over time the X app became more well known and respected than the Twitter one, then he could consider discarding Twitter at that juncture. To do it rashly as he has done smacks of a God/messiah/perfectionist complex, as if he knows what is best (aesthetically and otherwise) for everyone. I think the reason Elon has so many suspicious looking followers is because when you sign up for a new Twitter account, it gives you a list of recommended users to follow. You'll never guess who's at the very top of the list. With most platforms like Twitter, a lot of people end up making accounts, deciding they don't really like the service very quickly, and deleting the app off their phone. I think this is why so many of Elon's followers look like bots.
When you make a new account on Twitter it makes you follow at least 1 person, and elon is at the top of that list. My guess is a lot of the people who aren't bots probably just followed him at the beginning and didn't unfollow him

i feel like it's becoming very transparent that he's just fucking up everything fully on purpose to try and get out of having to pay back people he owes money for buying Twitter
Who remembers the times when free speech was about being allowed to say whatever you want?
Now it is about forcing everybody else to listen.
All these X’s but I just want mine back 😭 I’m hurting bad bros, she broke my heart.
It's like no one told Elon X means something different _everywhere else in the world._ I was optimistic for about the first month or so after Elon bought it, but my regard sunk like an old party balloon since. It seems Elon only ruins things by having involvement in them.
Yep..he is just starting..soon it will be greater than You Tube..every venture takes time to mature..So far better than the old governmental run Twitter..
Thank God
He fumbled so hard even the libertarians are turning on him now
No the reason Elon has the most followers is because they blocked out lurkers from accessing the site. So we had to finally make an account, when this happens it gives you NO CHOICE but to follow Elon at sign up - you manually have to unfriend him after finishing sign up!
How to "block" channels/videos/user generated content on RUclips?
amazing.
Love the Mega 64 throwback lol
I have come up with a special theory, due to my long youtube history. Now, i am starting to think that a substantial portion of all viewers/subs in fact are bots. Larger than anticipated prior. What %? It all depends on if your topic is popular or not, and if your channel is based on it.
It's a bot eat bot world. 🤖
My dude what are you doing here I keep meeting you in comments 😮 remember you from 2k16 csgo.
It's at least 50% on any site. Like minimum. On some sites it's far higher, like 95%.
Sooo many bots lol
You lost me at 00:56. Meta owns a trademark, not patent, on a LOGO. Meta does not own the rights to use the name ‘X’.
I thought this was a worn down topic, but this video actually added to the conversation.
I am one of those accounts that joined immediately after his takeover, have never tweeted, and follow him.
he's trying to get rid of twitter addiction
Well it's working. While I get curious, I haven't went back to X/Twitter in months
Good old Elon. The world's richest manchild
bahaha ahhh it all falls together. wonderful video. keep up the good work
Wild to see how a single letter can cause such a ripple effect in the digital world! There are opportunities on the horizon as well with a potential wechat style app, which hasn't been done yet in the West. The jury is still out! Great content as always
Eh, either he succeeds into making it a successful "everything app", or he destroys the toxic heaping pile of garbage in the process. Either way, it's a net positive for humanity! I'm just enjoying the show LMFAO
We already have a fully customizable and extendable everything app, it's called the operating system.
Twitter’s mute feature satisfies the app stores’ blocking requirements.
