Not only is this a great song, this is a stellar performance of it. I love that Brian starts out on the piano with his guitar in his lap at the ready. When it is guitar time, Freddie takes over on the keys. What a talented band. I believe this is Montreal 1981 concert.

You can see the Montreal 81 concert too here on RUclips. Also, you should look up the Montreal 81 concert commentary by Brian and Roger who talk about great stuff while watching the whole concert. Very interesting and entertaining. Lovely to hear them talk about Freddie and John and share their thoughts and memories 😊

Brian penned this beauty about friend & bandmate Freddie, who was going thru a difficult break-up! It’s speculated that the song was written when Freddie’s relationship with American Chef Joe Fanelli had just ended. Later, Joe Fanelli would become Freddie’s private chef at Garden Lodge (Fred’s home). 🏠

Thanks! This is a fantastic song from the same 1981 concert as one of the best versions of "Somebody to Love"... Freddie is dynamic, as usual.. but ALSO.. Brian is amazing... starting on keys, with his guitar in his LAP, also singing harmony (he wrote this, BTW).. then shows up on guitar solo... oh, and not just an "afterthought"... John on bass & Roger on drums & vocals... appreciate your listen!

Brian actually started with piano first before pivoting to the guitar.
Yes i would very much be interested in your reactions to whole albums; probably best in chronological order. It's just that the time difference (Australia) will make it unlikely that i would be able to join you live.

Queen 2 is my choice. So far most of your reactions are from the late 70s, to early 80s. Queen 2 has a much harder rock edge. 1974 Queen was part of the Glam Rock movement. It would be interesting to see. How you feel about this early, & completely different, style of music.

Just a suggestion to your channel, always....ALWAYS play Queen live versions as opposed to the studio version. There has never been a band like Queen that sounds better live than in the studio version! Keep on exploring Queen, you've only just begun...
