The wonders of the web! I was just pathetically trying to play some jazz chords after a lesson yesterday when I remembered these duets I saw on TV (from Ronnie Scott's) when I was a kid 40 years ago. And in a couple of clicks here they are. VERY few guitarists deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the great Joe Pass. Credit to Ella too, she compliments Joe's tastefully perfect guitar perfectly.
I love Stevie Wonders song....She's so hip and swingin....ONLY ELLA MAN! Joe Pass's time, is amazing! So supportive under her without being busy, and yet so special and unique he stands out!
Cant beat these two, I agree +Kass Nathan Starchild. Ella Fitzgerald is truly the Lady of Song, she is the only woman I know whose voice matured and became MORE beautiful with age. A blessing.
