All the 37 songs for Eurovision 2024 are out so it's our time to do the predictions of who will qualify for the grand final and who won't. Here are my thoughts, share yours in the comments!🤗

Look. Two weeks ago I posted this:
"Israel has already had 2 songs rejected by EBU and I agree the lyrics are too connected to recent events, so I've decided that if they eventually participate in this year's Eurovision I won't be talking about them, I won't do a reaction and they'll be last in my top. SAME AS ICELAND IF THEY EVENTUALLY SEND BASHAR MURAD, because it's clearly not the best song and if he wins it will be for political reasons that won't have room in this channel. I've finally made this decision so I just wanted you to know, I hope you understand it🤗"
I realise I should have explained myself better in the video and apologise if it sounded agressive, I didn't mean to and I have nothing against Israelis in particular. I forgot you don't follow me and don't know me or my thoughts on this topic, so I should have explained myself better in the video. Lesson learned. I understand you are suffering. Wars are a terrible thing. And I didn't expect this strong reaction from you, so much hate... It makes me really sad to see in which world we are living... I just want peace. And don't take a contest so seriously!

You say "I don't think I deserve all this hate I'm receiving." What hate? You can't handle a dozen of remarks on your YT channel? Oh, what a drama. So you can imagine how the Israeli fans feel getting real hate - not only from Hamas and half the world in real life, but now also from their Eurovison friends. They are in the mid of the war, you know. They have emotions.
I don't think the Israeli Eurovision fans deserve all the hate THEY are receiving, and that's a way more than a few comments on your channel.
I think you can not silence other countries' artists and emotions. That way you will never understand each other and come closer. Love to the Israeli ESC fans - United by Music. ❤
Btw, you say you are a visual artist? You are missing something big if you don't watch the song of Israel.

Did you read the lyrics of the two previous versions? Which words or phrases particularly did you find political? Do you know that ESC committee rejected Israeli songs without explaining what exactly is wrong with the lyrics? The Israeli committee had to literally guess which words they have to change. This is the reason it took Israel so many attempts. And of course Israel is the only country in the world that cannot sing about flowers. This is ridiculous.

I'd respect your *opinion* if you weren't so damn dishonest. You know very well that the reason you think Israel shouldn't qualify/participate is because you don't like it and NOT because KAN tried to enter with a political song. Fact is, the EBU has approved THIS version of the song. It abides by the contest's rules, it's in. It's not political, it's about coming out of a personal struggle, a universal theme, which is why it makes reactors around the world cry. Learn the difference. The EBU rejects songs for various of reasons, including politics, every year. It's not just Israel. They always give the countries a chance to resubmit within the deadline, which Israel did and this time it got accepted. Deal with it.

@@annapodolsky9787 Stefania was a song about love and family. The singer asked his mother to sing a lullaby and that brought him warm and safe memories of his mum. I didn't like nor support the reasons why Ukraine won anyway. This is not a thing about the countries for me, but you don't care either, right now Israelis are just spreading hate in this channel...

@@laubariesc The song can be interpreted in many ways. Many of the RUclips visitors referred to the personal rather than the national pan because that is what they perceived. And with all due respect, a country that has suffered such a great trauma cannot ignore the pain. The Israeli people are bleeding and crying, it is best to send a song that expresses the break. How can you ignore it?

If you are truly trying to predict the qualifiers, then you choosing to ignore Israel automatically makes your prediction inaccurate. I get that you believe it's political but how can that prevent you from simply just predicting if they qualify?
I think Denmark and Israel will qualify :)) I’m not sure about Greece, Albania, San Marino and Latvia(I don’t see a chance for Latvia without jury votes).

@@laubariesc the song is about struggle and hope. Many reactors took it to the relationship aspect. Like any song, lyrics are open for interpretation. Honestly speaking, I can’t blame any Israeli who hears this song and think of the oct 7th massacre, and then expresses this interpretation in the comments. This is a nation in trauma. We can’t think of anything else besides the hostages and the lives lost. Framing this as political really takes away people right to feel what they feel from a song. Besides, I have no doubt the EBU would rule out this version as well if it was still considered “political”. thats all I have to say ;)

And it's funny you say that, because even if it was about politics, and it's not, Ukraine won after sending a 100% political song in 2022, didn't see anyone complaining about that.

Eek, this semi-final got so scary! I love what Estonia and Latvia are bringing, but with so many strong entries, they're both at risk. Estonia's staging needs to be a major upgrade from Eesti Laul and Latvia might once again not be impactful enough. The fact that the Big 5 are performing is bad news for Latvia because Slimane could overshadow Dons. Fingers crossed for both of them!

I am also not a political person and that is why I am pained by the hypocrisy of many people who say that the Eurovision is not political and actually boycott Israel. The song that Israel sent was not political and was approved by the EBU, therefore anyone who chooses to boycott automatically takes a political side. On a personal note, 2 friends of mine were murdered at a party that took place in Israel on October 7. They just came to dance and have fun and terrorists came and murdered them and hundreds of other people of peace and love That is why it hurts me so much that Israel is being boycotted, which is fighting a merciless terrorist organization that holds over 100 innocent hostages. The situation with the population in Gaza is terrible and particularly painful for me and I very much hope that the war will end as soon as possible and that we will have a world of peace and love and without wars and hatred.
