Have you ever wondered there are far more Indians in Middle East, like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait etc and yet those countries never complain about Indians or South Asians taking over their country, despite the fact their own native population is in minority. The population increase of these countries from Indians is so huge in last 20-30 years that it almost doubled or trebled. Yet these countries manage peace, prosperity, jobs, low cost of living, and next to no taxes. Maybe Canada and Westerners should look at its/their own incompetent leaders and fix their country. Canada is nothing compared to the country Indians built in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha etc. And Canada just like these countries has so much oil and natural resources, yet it has ridiculously low wages due to collapsing Canadian dollar, no housing because of endless government bureaucracy, no vision for next 10-20 years, ridiculously high taxes and what not.
By the way, the information outsiders are getting about "Modi" is extremely sensationalized, filtered information. I used to be one of those 'leftie' types about Modi til I actually went to India and figured out more of the story. The story is extremely complicated. No Westerner knows a single speck about India genuinely. They just know what the Western media allows on their news. Indians have been complaining about the left specifically for a long time for a reason. Islamic countries and many other very fascist countries don't have a left and a right, hence they are mostly shielded from this kind of weaponized politics, or what I call propaganda disguised as left wing concern xD. Modi gives minorities in India special treatment still, in fact he's much more politically correct than most Western right wing leaders (especially in the UK/America). His 'right wing politics' has a strangely unifying message (meaning all "Muslims, and residents of India are "Hindu" due to being from India), but his 'motives' are questioned (OK sure it's politics, but better than outright insulting them). The reason people automatically absorb anything that is thinly veiled demonization of Hindus is due to the image of the left as crusaders for good. The irony is that some act like they care about 'minorities' while demonizing them in the media in countries where they are a minority. They're like a philanthropic billionaire using his status and image to shield himself from criticism while doing shady things behind closed doors.. "Hindus" (basically a word for "Non Muslim/Christians" initially, basically religiosized) were a group that has been persecuted throughout history and were the main target of demonization by the British. People should wonder where this status quo of the global left singling out specifically Hindus comes from. No, this does not justify demonizing Muslims.

Indians are not united in their response towards racism. Many Indians are self deprecating and consider India to be worst country in the world (which is not true by any measure). African Americans greet each other as “Brotha” or “Sista”. This term evolved as a part of collective response to the racism faced by many generations till 1960s. They faced the worst and hence they are always on guard. They also talk about it in the most vociferous way. Indians on the other hand, tend to avoid conflict, keep calm and carry on. They have no stomach to pick up fights with mainstream popular media or racial majority in US. Hence racism against Indians is accepted in US.

i could never be casual friends with someone i’ve fallen asleep next to, loved, lived with and had a sexual relationship with. even if we were friends beforehand, once i’ve fallen for somebody it’s either we’re together or we’re not talking at all. i was engaged to a woman that i was friends with for 4 years before we got together. things didn’t work out, and we stopped talking after we broke up. i could never look at her as just a friend after putting a ring on her finger. i wouldn’t say i’m immature for thinking like that.
@@shlammalamma I think if you gave that explanation to someone who asked they'd be understanding. Rules are meant to have exceptions and I think your feelings should warrant one. However, a lot of relationships don't go that deep. If you know someone from a hobby, let's say a shooting range and start dating them but then break up, it'd be pretty weird if you just gave them silent treatment whenever you happen to meet. If you're that bothered, changing clubs is the more mature way to go about it. Blaming the ex for still attending the club isn't the right way, same how the girl in the vid badmouthed the guy for being weird in her eyes. Canadians only virtue signal and act like Americans, key word being ACT. It's why the Greater Toronto Area is the place everyone goes to, its diverse and the culture here is TO BE diverse and accepting (similar to larger American cities) because immigration (for the most part) actually happens here. Mostly because they're so remote and detached from the rest of us living in their own bubbles North of Toronto.
I'm from Germany. Though I don't know of recent events, I vividly remember the anti-Indian rhetoric and prejudice present in the early 2000s. In 2000, conservative politician Rüttgers would keep repeating his slogan "Kinder statt Inder" (children instead of Indians) to win an election, trying to shame the chancellor for his idea to invite IT workers from India to work here. 7 years later, the little town Mügeln in Sachsen made headlines, as Neonazis chased a group of 8 Indians through the streets, threatening their lifes. Luckily noone was killed, but the victims also never got retribution, and some had to keep living there, because they couldn't afford to move, and the aggressors didn't all go to jail either.

As someone who is Indian, yes. I've always been so confused. What did we do? I was born in america, raised in america, and have always lived in america. I seriously think it's so stupid to categorize people based on their race
You are vorrect, at the same time India has also increased its hate and racism towards it own people depending on religion. Communal riots against Muslims, demolishing their place of worship. Calling India a place only for Hindus. North is prejudiced towards South India. People from big cities hate migrants from UP, Bihar who come down to earn a living. This hate, racism, sexism and bigotry is on rise in every country. No one should be confused why people are racist. We all have family member, countrymen, politician who spread racist, sexist and bigoted sentiments everyday in news and newspaper. Saying you are confused why so much racism is not being genuine. Look around you, in your own backyard, home etc. We have a lot of work to do. Hate begets Hate. Spread love, equality, equity and justice to your own countrymen. This hate can only be beaten by spreading equal rights. No one should be confused. Get to work, we have a lot of responsibility to curb this hatred. Indians work in India, Americans in US and so on. Hate is for everyone, not just Indians. Muslims, Mexicans, African Americans, Jews, Christians, White etc. In today's climate every group is infested. Not one group or citizens of country can say we are not spreading hate.
It’s nothing about “what did we do”. That’s the wrong question to ask. Because if there was that “something” would that justify racism? For example, crime in the black, Irish, Mexican communities- perpetuated by criminals , does that mean the whole group should suffer the abuse of racism. It’s just that people are tribalistic , ignorant and racist- what makes it worse it that social media brings the worst out of people or encourage this outrageous behaviour

You didn't do anything wrong. I think most bigotry comes from a place of insecurity, they feel that their colour and whats between their legs automatically makes them special but it doesnt. Because they have no real accomplishments in their eyes so they cling onto believing thsyre better simply by being born into a certain colour or a certain gender. Ive seen it so many times in the case of being a woman, dudes who are secure in themselves see no inferiority within themselves when they know of my accomplishments, but XY's who are deeply insecure will always try to downplay and pretend my entire genders accomplishments are lesser. I fear racism is no different. The only way these people can feel good about themselves is by pretending having certain attritubutes makes them better because they have nothing else to feel good about.
Sure but alot of the recent spike has to do with India assasinating political dissidents on Canadian soil. Then their reaction both politically and online when Canada took issue with it.

Like yes, there are a lot of Indian people who work customer service jobs especially fast food… but nothing has changed, they’re working often of necessity lower salaried jobs people weren’t filling, and they’re always so nice. Like people see Indian people working these jobs and assume all the negative traits you discussed in your video. It’s so demoralizing. I would agree that the Indian fovernment isn’t relevant to the racism, people treat it more like a cultural issue
Canada let's in khalistanis seperatist babysits them ,gives them vile ppl citizenships and cries about the mess and blames it all on india , there should be a background check and system like USa to benefit Canada's growth ...but if Canadians love their khalistanis so much then canada can give them land and let them create a khalistan in canada as canada has so much free land than india
And then the same ppl complaining about that are also accusing Indian ppl of buying up all the housing on their minimum wage pay checks. It’s literally just rehashed xenophobia
As an Indian guy in America thanks for covering this. Another thing is that it doesn’t help that our casteist and racist attitudes also reinforce our subservient attitude towards the west. Like I hear fellow Indians have Indo-dementia with attitudes about assimilation which demonized other minority groups. Like we spent centuries kicking out white colonizers who stole and pillaged our country and now that the subsequent conditions with which we haven’t recovered from (massive poverty, joblessness, malnutrition and underdevelopment) cause a brain drain, millions of us come leaving everything behind and go to find education and we carry the same fucking attitudes that got us ruined in the first place
The problem as shown by that Canada article is Indians bringing their caste system and internally racist ideology to the west where it doesn't have a place
I'd like to make a bit of an opposing point. I've seen a lot of people dismiss racism against indians as "They have the caste system anyways, they're racist themselves" and it always grinds my gears. Like yeah it is a problem, but it's as much of a problem as racism is in literally any other country. And these people really have no right to be as dismissive as they are or act any better. Like for example let's compare a lower caste in india to black americans in america. Are there steps being taken to curtail caste discrimination in education in India? Yes (Reservation system). Are there steps being taken to control racism in education in America? Yes. (DEI and Affirmative action) Were there laws that discriminated against lower castes pretty recently? Yes. Were there laws that discriminated against black americans pretty recently? Yes! (Jim Crow). Are there any laws in the modern constitution of India that target lower caste people? No, but there is systemic casteism. Are there any laws in the modern constitution of America that target black americans? No, but there is systemic racism! The one thing that I can see as criticism worthy is that casteism is still proportionally a larger problem in india than racism is in america. But anyone not from India themselves wouldn't know the extent of that problem.
@@KM002-r5n Of course. My point is bigger in that whiteness and racism is often associated with a power structure similar to casteism. Dr. BR Ambedkar (made the Indian Constitution) made a great point about how Indians carry their casteism and bigotry to other countries. However I absolutely agree with you that racism against any Indians is absolutely abhorrent and it speaks to how the attitudes from the right and centre have normalized it with western chauvinist rhetoric.
Exactly! It usually means the relationship didn't end on bad terms, and the two people simply still get along as friends. That's at least the case for me with my 3 exes. I still speak with them because we get along platonically. Just because they're my friends, it doesn't mean I still harbor feelings for them.
Handsome, successful, respects women enough to be upfront about being friends with his ex, appreciates women enough to be friends with them. Still not enough and she hates Indians like you can't win sometimes man.
Don't see why anyone would write off an entire race of men based on strange experiences. Like, yeah, I've had strange experiences trying to talk to Indian girls. Doesn't mean I'll stop talking to them
There's definitely a cultural trend with many Indian men...I mean look at India proper it's the rape capital of the world for a reason and they have huge issues with misogyny baked into ever level of their culture.
because non white races are seen as monolith have you not noticed? Black people commit crime - "all black people are like that" Bad experience dating Indian man - "All Indian men are like that" White man shoots up school - "Thats just an individual with bad mental health issues"
The fact that the first creator is known for farting in jars and selling it is absolutely wild that she is able to say anything negative about anyone else.
There are many countries in Africa and middle east with poverty and bad infrastructure. So by your logic any country with poverty and bad infrastructure deserves all the racism. I guess muslims support racism against India since they have their grudge against Indians based on religion and support to Israel.
As an indian person thanks a lot for speaking about this, i see this stuff a lot on social media and im not sure if im supposed to be offended or not because its so common, but i guess that was me just being gaslit by all the insta comments.
One thing that's really sad about this whole ordeal is that neighbouring countries that don't like India also feed into the rhetoric. Unfortunately for the Pakistani, Bengali and Sri Lankan folks the west sees all south Asians as the same. If you're brown you're Indian and thus you'll be treated as such. The lack of solidarity is understandable however I wish putting aside difference to fight against these common issues would be normal. Hell even in India you have Indian people who don't view themselves as "Indian" therefore projecting these problem unto their fellow peoples.
well everyone can see in comment section seriously south asians have made themselves into laughing stocks by pointing diffs and doing rcism on each other even though they r from same gene pool.
While I imagine that racists will generally not make any effort to see the unique identities and rich cultures across South Asia, lumping Pakistanis, Bengalis, Sri Lankans, and others together with Indians… they often only see these other nationalities through negative stereotypes too. Even when they do see the difference, it’s unlikely to help - they’ll just replace their anti-Indian prejudice with whatever harmful biases around religion or outdated, one-dimensional views on political instability or poverty. Pakistan and Bangladesh are Muslim-majority countries, which bigoted Westerners are likely to see as no better, if not even ‘worse’ than they see Hindus, and if they’ve seen even a single thing about Daulatdya (not sure how it’s spelt), disastrous flooding in Bangladesh or the Sri Lankan civil war, they’ll still have the idea of a plague-ladden, slum-like, violent and exploitative region and will still stick to lumping all its cultures together as a blob they perceive to be inferior to theirs, and yet potentially threatening… At the end of the day, people who adopt or develop racist thinking are primed to be unwilling to see ‘others’ as equals, and that tends to extend beyond the borders of a specific country.

@@alephnull6457 as a native (ojibway) guy myself i think it's more noticeable in canada for a few reasons: the truth & reconciliation commission's report + undrip + half of indigenous people live in cities these days + missing & murdered indigenous women. canada has a lot less black people than the states so racism is much more directed to natives & newer immigrants (particularly south asians). not saying black people don't suffer here, but the overall population is much lower so the oppression they experience isn't as noticeable (a good example would be incarceration rates!). additionally, the issue of 'pretendians' is larger here due to things like indigenous-only grants & scholarships (we have a lot less colleges than america)
@@alephnull6457yeah, it’s a real problem here. I’d say it’s on par with what the US sees with their black population. The Indigenous population overall in Canada is only 4% and in provinces like Ontario it’s below the average. In my province, however, Indigenous people are closer to 15-20% of the total population and you can really see the discrimination and lack of access to resources. Many European Canadians, who deny or are unaware of their own European genetic heritage, often hold prejudiced views toward "immigrants" despite being descendants of settlers themselves. These individuals frequently fail to recognize the reality that Canada, as a nation, is largely shaped by European colonization. The Indigenous peoples of Canada-who had lived on the land for thousands of years-were displaced, marginalized, and stripped of their culture, land, and resources. Europeans, through the colonization process, introduced foreign diseases like smallpox that decimated entire Indigenous populations, devastating their communities and culturest many of these individuals, who are not indigenous to the land themselves, now claim ownership or superiority over it, despite their ancestors being the ones who disrupted and destroyed the thriving Indigenous ways of life. The idea of "immigrants" being unwelcome in a country founded on settler colonialism is both hypocritical and deeply ignorant. The Indigenous peoples of the Americas, including Native Canadians, were the original inhabitants of the land, and it was European settlers who forcibly altered their way of life. Many Europeans-whether they come from the British, French, or other settler lineages-often forget or disregard that their own presence in Canada is the result of an immigrant history themselves. In this sense, calling modern migrants "immigrants" while ignoring their own settler colonial past is both absurd and a clear form of hypocrisy. Europeans, who came to the land with the intention of claiming it for themselves, imposed a foreign system, language, and way of life on the original Indigenous populations, often with violent repercussions. The legacy of European colonization continues to impact Indigenous communities, contributing to systemic inequality, land disputes, and cultural erasure. Yet, ironically, many descendants of these colonizers have the audacity to criticize or belittle others who migrate, all the while denying the reality of their own settler origins. The truth is, the idea of "belonging" to Canada is far more complex than they often realize, as the Indigenous peoples are the true and original caretakers of the land .

Low key to Westerners racism against Indians and South Asians is so ingrained in the culture, it's still quietly an acceptable form of racism to most white people here. Speaking as a Canadian, the amount of just straight up vile and racist things that will casually be said about individuals from south Asia is appalling. I'm pro-immigration, but I think it's fair (to some degree) to criticize the mass influx of immigrants from those regions of the world thanks to Trudeau's policies, where nobody can get a minimum wage job (because companies would rather hire a new immigrant and pay them a third of what they'd otherwise get), and there aren't enough houses to fit people, contributing to the astronomical housing prices. However, that doesn't give anybody the right to say "all Indian migrants poop in buckets" or whatever other hateful mistruths and falsehoods. Even people I know dearly will pin any bad thing happening on the immigrants, from crime rates to grocery prices. It's really quite disturbing to see my home country normalizing such hateful speech.
Yes, mass immigration deserves criticism, not only because of the impact on job market and housing, but also due to the intension of the Canadian government to exploit the cheap physical labour of the immigrants. However, I doubt if the government changes in Canada, they will change the immigration policy. Because, conservatives and capitalists love human exploitation.
I mean if you're from the prairies I'm sure you're aware that this hateful rhetoric is nothing new for Canada it just used to be mainly aimed at native people
Growing up in a small town in Ontario this type of thing has been consistent for as long as I can remember. Hell I can count the amount of black people I met on one hand growing up. 15 years ago it seemed to be anti chinese when the majority of asians in the area weren't even from china but you'd hear all the tired jokes anyways.
In 90s, when I was kid, there was a shooting of t-series owner, a guy who used feed poor by a Muslim. Muslim ran to Britain and got refuge saying indian court will not give justice to a Muslim, since then I have seen many such cases of criminals getting refuge in West. There is a video of one Punjabi politician saying he used sign paper saying this guy is being hunted by authorities since he is minority to get refuge in Canada. Now Canada sides with terrorists and call them political dissidents. They are western sponsored criminals who attack indians. You folks need to set your politics right.
I live in a Canadian city with a college that overwhelmingly accepts immigrants. I do recognize some of the problems you mentioned here. Its relatively common for businesses to post a sign in their front window saying "sorry, we are not currently hiring" because of the amount of requests they receive. Our town doesn't have enough jobs, nor does it have enough housing. Landlords are exploiting this as rent prices skyrocket and its not uncommon for students to find themselves living 2, 3, 4 people in a room intended for just one person. I don't blame Indians or immigrants here because obviously they have no control over this stuff. They are victims in all this but the consequences of this expands beyond them to existing residents as well. We've seen a dramatic rise in homelessness and poverty and I can assume that's because of the above rent increases. Disability payouts are trash and don't keep up with the rising rent prices. Our existing government treats the problem of low income housing like a joke and non of the platforms being presented for the next government a year from now are any better. They encourage building housing...companies profit more from 'normal' houses that only the wealthy can afford...affordable housing isn't made. I think there was a stat that less than 1 percent of housing built would fall under the category of affordable housing. Our city doesn't appear to be equipped for this but the college generates far more revenue by exploiting international tuition fees compared to Canadian tuition fees (why a tuition fee differs at all to me is baffling). As you pointed out since all of the regular jobs appear constantly full I have to assume a lot of these students resort to more shady gig work or under the table jobs and get exploited for their labor in the process. This is all without getting into issues of family doctors and health care wait times and other such things. Its a real problem but there's no sense in blaming the individuals. They are just victims to unchecked rampant capitalism and bad governance.
International students pay what the education is worth, and locals pay less because their families have been paying taxes their entire lives. It's a simple contract. The government should not subsidize the education of international students. Same reason for in-province vs out-of-province tuition (small diff tbf)? I agree that the colleges are exploiting them, but the writing was on the wall for a long time. The government should have spotted the loophole and put in restrictions sooner than they did.

😂 The Modi Goverment is not bad at all.
@@rishabdhar6900 The UAE treats Indians awfully what are you on about
By the way, the information outsiders are getting about "Modi" is extremely sensationalized, filtered information.

Many Indians are self deprecating and consider India to be worst country in the world (which is not true by any measure). i could never be casual friends with someone i’ve fallen asleep next to, loved, lived with and had a sexual relationship with. even if we were friends beforehand, once i’ve fallen for somebody it’s either we’re together or we’re not talking at all. i was engaged to a woman that i was friends with for 4 years before we got together. things didn’t work out, and we stopped talking after we broke up. i could never look at her as just a friend after putting a ring on her finger.

@@shlammalamma I think if you gave that explanation to someone who asked they'd be understanding. Rules are meant to have exceptions and I think your feelings should warrant one.

It’s more strange to hear Canadians being racists to Indians because each one of those Indians has migrated legally and more likely than not paid higher fees for education.
The whole illegal/legal immigration thing has always been an excuse to cast blame onto minorities themselves, if we're really being honest. Nobody is uprooting their entire life without good reason.
there is a lot of blowback and resentment over the academical and economic success of Indians, Jews, Asians inside Canada.
@AnAn___ When people are struggling, confronting the myriad factors behind that and finding and fixing the root causes (usually politically) is a lot harder to stomach than a convenient scapegoat
If they really want to stop immigrants especially indian immigrants then they should protest against their government cuz being racist to indian immigrants or other immigrants not gonna solve their problems.
NO. Indians have not come to Canada "legally".... they've found loopholes and scams to come here.
While other foreigners are milking views by supporting racism for their self-interest. Thank you for raising the voice on atrocities against Indians.
My mom grew up in Canada in the 70s. There were less than 10 Indian families in the city she grew up in and people were racist af to her. She still doesn’t like Ukrainians or Polish people because of it, as migrants from those countries were apparently the absolute worst. My father immigrated to Canada in the 80s. We moved to the States in the 90s and my dad has told me the lack of racism in America compared to Canada is a breath of fresh air.
The idea that all this racism was triggered by mass immigration and that Canadians are an otherwise innocent people is nonsense. True colors just coming out again.
Canadians only virtue signal and act like Americans, key word being ACT. It's why the Greater Toronto Area is the place everyone goes to, its diverse and the culture here is TO BE diverse and accepting (similar to larger American cities) because immigration (for the most part) actually happens here. Go to any other Canadian city and they'll cuss you out, just drive northern Ontario and you'll get treated differently. My cousin wears a burka and got called a terrorist in Georgina, Ontario and that same town I went with my friends we were all being slightly loud (we were 18 and having a fun BBQ trip) in a Walmart, and my brown friends get picked out and stared at weirdly/scolded at by some random old white lady. The crazy thing is THEY'RE CANADIAN, born and raised Torontonians. I don't wanna battle racism with more racism but a lot of white Canadians are racist asf. Mostly because they're so remote and detached from the rest of us living in their own bubbles North of Toronto.
Bad Indians ruin India and Normal Indians has to pay the price
Indians have dharti mata, why then toil in far away lands?
I am French, this is depressing. It seems like a nation will never learn from its own mistakes but people do. We need to organize differently or nations will repeat their atrocities over and over .
The idea of 'bringing Indian workers' needs to stop. The motive behind this is to exploit Indians for cheap labour.
If you have good work environment, people from multiple country will automatically come.
Also, give first priority to your own citizen.

It's sad
Yes. (DEI and Affirmative action)
Were there laws that discriminated against lower castes pretty recently?
Pakistan and Bangladesh are Muslim-majority countries, which bigoted Westerners are likely to see as no better, if not even ‘worse’ than they see Hindus, and if they’ve seen even a single thing about Daulatdya (not sure how it’s spelt), disastrous flooding in Bangladesh or the Sri Lankan civil war, they’ll still have the idea of a plague-ladden, slum-like, violent and exploitative region and will still stick to lumping all its cultures together as a blob they perceive to be inferior to theirs, and yet potentially threatening…
At the end of the day, people who adopt or develop racist thinking are primed to be unwilling to see ‘others’ as equals, and that tends to extend beyond the borders of a specific country.

@@alephnull6457 In Canada, every group is racist to one another and it really shows. We barely melt into an actual identity. We are more like land housing multiple nationalities it feels like rather then all being Canadians. I only ever feel Canadian during sport events and the time where its time to remember the fallen. That's it, but this is just me. At least that how I feel. I don't feel welcomed in some communities. I am black and native and the amount of anti blackness in the First Nation community is pretty bad, like HARD R type racism on the rez, being edgy is cool here I guess. But also East Indian community has anti first nation racism in it too as well as being very anti black people! Minorities in Canada often participate in hatred. White supremacy is the mainframe though! Nobody is really a victim here unless you yourself do not participate in it of course. Anti first nation racism by whites is pretty common here yeah. But so are people who are against this stuff. Canada is not some utopia. Its more dystopian.
Oka Crisis is a great example to learn about. There are some good vids on it on youtube, one from submedia was great.
@@alephnull6457yeah, it’s a real problem here. I’d say it’s on par with what the US sees with their black population. Police brutality, over representation in jails, houselessness, addiction, etc. disproportionately affect our Indigenous people and, depending on which province/territory you live in, it is very visible. The Indigenous population overall in Canada is only 4% and in provinces like Ontario it’s below the average. In my province, however, Indigenous people are closer to 15-20% of the total population and you can really see the discrimination and lack of access to resources. Our governments make a big show of acting like they are on board with truth and reconciliation but real change, unfortunately, has yet to be seen.

As an Indian, i honestly became a bit racist towards westerners after seeing how they labelled us online and how they talked in a dishonourable and rude manner. I still try to label westerners as good/bad, but before I was never prejudiced towards the west. I find similar sentiments held by many other Asians already. The west will find that one day no one outside their bubble will be their friend, if they continue in this trend of being racist to everyone.
Perception of people don't matter much. I don't care what west thinks of themselves or us. India needs to sort problem inside like islamism and socialism. We need system like china. If we solve these two problem, rest will slowly get better.
This is actually true. They expect us to act like their servants, while they berate and degrade us. Their citizens got no problem slinging racial abuse. Then they get upset when we refuse to fight their wars for them.
This isn't it. The resentment by Indians towards the West makes the most sense. Other groups get adequate protection by the West. Indians have both extreme amount of stigma associated with their ethnicity and the REVERSE of protection by the most influential and high status group who Indians themselves look up to

They are just victims to unchecked rampant capitalism and bad governance.
this!!
Thank you
Exactly. It drives me mad that people can’t have nuanced and reasonable conversations about this.
