Another detail about the mysterious woman is that in the English version, and apparently the Japanese version as well, she has the same voice actor as Helba, so it's possible that she is the real identity of Helba. Her personality fits in that she deliberately acts mysteriously and even if she's helping you, she won't avoid teasing or misleading you. The woman's claim that she doesn't use computers often could be a lie, considering Helba is a hacker and that's extremely illegal in that world. Though, some fans theorize that the woman dancing in the .hack//SIGN intro is actually Helba and the two women have different hair, so they can't both be her.
Though I don't think there's any evidence that the dancing woman is Helba other than the vague similarities of her hair and Helba's avatar's hair and the fact that the dancing woman loves to use The World to have fun and is interested in the mystery of Aura.

Oh I didn't know they had the same VA for both ENG and JPN, I like that little detail that really can make it possible she is Helba. I saw someone post that the sign intro probably isn't helba since they wear a full body suit which isn't something they touch upon in the world but rather might just be a way to symbolize the connection of the body stuck in the game.
