You are the person we hope receives PR because you truly deserve it and the recognition. You set that bar exceedingly high in all aspects of your life and endeavors and it shows.
Man, everyone who has the sense to send you PR, really gets their money's worth! I was stalking RUclips for the first reviews on this palette, and here you are. Thrilled because you are so thorough and nobody does eye looks like you. I have olive eye shades but nothing in these sage shades. And you did a great job showing how many looks we can get with these greens. I ordered my yesterday because I need these colors. You showed how sophisticated this palette can look with these choices. Thank you so much!💚
Hey Deborah!! Thank you so much for the kind words 🥹 Sage is hard to come by, and perhaps why this colors story captures me completely when I first dipped in.
I have to say I always trust your reviews even if you get PR bc you are thorough and honest. You deserve PR bc you’ve shown such integrity and constructive criticism I am happy to see you receiving it!
The video is still here! So, good news! Lol! I'm super glad because I've just gotten this palette. It is gorgeous! Thanks for all the time and care you took in this review. 🤩
This colour story resonates so much to me, I can see with absolutely no doubt the nature of retro aesthetic in it, the feeling of 50s and 60s fashion and somehow looking at the colours I feel like I'm flipping pages of a retro fashion magazine or catalogue. It's brilliant! No one better than you to review it. I don't think you're biased at all, I think you're just mature on your approach and you don't try too hard to hate just for the sake of being an expensive and famous brand, like a bunch of other content creators do. It feels like they create in their minds an illusion of what makeup should be (not even in a personal level, but in a delusional level) and take it from that. You don't do that. That's why I can't find anyone else like you on RUclips! Love you loads, Alicia!
Thank you so much!! Yes, I try to present from the creator’s perspective and focus on that. I’ve always admired how Natasha structures her palettes, and this one is no different. It’s one of the most beautifully designed palettes she has ever done, and the shades are gorgeous.
You deserve to receive these PR palettes. The quality of your reviews is unmatched. You are detailed enough in the necessary parts. This is coming from someone who likes people to go straight to the point most of the time.
With the exception of the new mini pink palette (cannot remember!), I didn't buy eyeshadow (or really any other makeup) for 13 or 14 months. And did a HUGE declutter to all the 20somethings in my office. And then got this in the mail yesterday and am wearing it today. I feel like I have 2-3 Suqqu quads in this vibe, but I have just been loving this 1986 Lacoste/Izod color story in every possible variation.
I ordered this palette last night and caught the Sephora sale. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I knew I would love it, and watching you apply the different looks only makes me more excited to receive it. I just love the way you review makeup. Your attention to detail, application methods, comparison swatches and tips make your videos a joy to watch. Thank you to Natasha for sending this palette to you and thank you for doing it justice.
I am yet to see you in a colour that looks bad on you. I know it’s an old video, but I enjoy watching your content, even for products that are completely wrong for me. Your insight and creativity is very inspiring. Thank you for what you do!
I think would be worth it one of your great videos of playing together with other palette. And I would suggest to check/play with the Zendo palette. Cause this Retro Glam is also giving me some reminiscence of Zendo palette 🧘🏻♀️
I ordered Mel's "tribute" bundle from Sydney Grace, and also this one, because these shades speak to me. When you talked about how they spoke to you, and you just took a breath, I also took a breath with you! 💗💚 I think ND has done a wonderful job with this color story. I received the SG Mel bundle already, and I was a bit disappointed, sadly. I got some Christmas green shades, and nothing "sage" leaning. I can certainly play with the SG, and will use the shades. But the ND color story is completely different, IMHO. You, as ever, break down a palette beautifully. I'm very grateful for you, Alicia. As we head into Thanksgiving, I think of things I'm so grateful to have in my life. And I'm grateful you are (virtually) in mine. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤, for all you do for us.
Hello! Lovely ‘vidjeo’; really pretty eye looks! I noticed Natasha used lots of eyeliners/gels in her promos for this palette. Maybe due to the absence of a much darker shade for the outer corner? Anyway, looking forward to playing with mine, thanks for uploading! 💕
I died a little after seeing the shadow wing look. PERFECTION. BEAUTIFUL. STUNNING. When I first saw the palette, something moved inside me and I knew I had to have it (I love greens with brown eyes). And luckily, it showed up on the last day of the Sephora sale. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! Hurry up, Sephora - I'm heading to Florida next weekend and this is a perfect FL palette. :)
I suddenly got into pastel blue eyeshadow a while back. Definitely not my usual color but I was really feeling the 60s vibe. Thank you for introducing this to us and your fantastically thorough demos. I really do appreciate the time you put into your videos.
In probably going to skip on this palette since those bluish-green tones don’t look great on me, but they look damn good on you! It’s so fun to watch you create looks
Alicia my dearest you’re always so helpful! I love and look forward to your tutorials and honestly I love your thorough explanation of each shade and how it performs
Talk about retro...in 1977, my prom gown was a beautiful, soft sea foam green and my eyeshadow look was just like your first eye look!! I always love your eye shadow looks.
Congrats on receiving PR from ND!! It is sooo well deserved. I thoroughly enjoy your PML and ND reviews. You are so detailed and love your looks!! Another great video Alicia!
Just wanna say ty to Al for the way she explains everything..why she uses what she does and how to get looks to look the way we want. Its fun and informative! Plz don't ever change! I truly appreciate u and all ur hard work! I've learned so much watching u! Xo
Yay congrats on PR there ain’t no one as thorough and depth in reviews like you. Well I’m now considering getting it just to see what it shows like on my skin. Thanks Alicia for the in-depth review as always 💗
You are the queen of reviews and inspo. I look forward to your next video combining this with other palettes. I wish we could pitch in for you to have a proper studio space with lights and curated background. I appreciate that you’re still as down to earth today as when you started your channel. It’s just that your artistry deserves elevated accoutrements. You introduced me to all my favorite shadows. I think I need to go cold turkey on a no buy in 2023, but for now, you made me excited that I got this on the last day of the sale. 😅
People have sent me Venmo’s and PayPal’s to help with my equipment. The issue with my space is that the size is not optimal for background decoration. I just don’t have the space for it 🤷🏽♀️ And there’s no time to go to an actual studio, because my day is back to back with other tasks. If someone can hire me an interior designer who specializes in smaller spaces, then I’m all for it 😅
@@aliciaarcher I had professional headshots done… in the photographer’s tiny studio apartment kitchen. He loved the natural light from his window plus his lights and backdrops. Now I’ve got to pick his brain on how to help you… (Robert Downs - does musician / fashion photography and does corporate shoots & worked professionally with my husband.) I’m really excited that your subscriber number keeps growing. And you’re such a joy to watch.
Oh my, Alicia! Your swatches have sold me on this palette! I might get it for Christmas or wait till next year’s Sephora savings event. I’m very happy that you are getting ND’s PR, you truly deserve it ❤
I love green and pink together. Like pink 🌷 I love the pink and use Palladium in there somewhere? With evergreen base. Thanks for the detailed tutorials 🙂
Just found your channel and gotta say, I’m a fan. I like your sense of humor, I love how slowly you speak, you’re not in a rush (love that), and you annunciate your words so well. Definitely subbing. Can’t wait to see more. :)
@@aliciaarcher I agree! It's perfect. 😍I might be the one person that does want to see that cut crease look! I am feeling it with a gorgeous winged liner. I can't wait to receive mine! ☺️
Girl I'm back, after watching this video you do have me feeling like I need to collect more of her Natasha Dinos eyeshadow palettes. I only have four three mitties and one small 5:10 pallet. The only large palette that I want is that metropolis palette. Unless of course they had offered some more for the 60-ish dollar range. I'll wait for Black Friday I'll add this pallet next year when they have the next sale.
I'm pumped to watch your review on this palette. The mini retro is my absolute favorite. I jumped on this palette as soon as it popped up on my sephora app. Can't wait until it arrives!!!
Melt gemini is more my speed. Sage greens tend to go grey on me. I recently traded an extra Pat McGrath holiday cheek palette for ND Glam! Her shimmers are so good, they're more traditional than Pat's. I also ended up swapping my ND pastels for 2 Roen quads and am quite pleased! I didn't use those mattes as much as they needed. This was all via r/makeupexchange, you could make an anonymous account and sell/trade very easily!
Can’t go wrong with the grungy olives! The metallics in glam are wonderful. They have such great glide, and fantastic to use solo on the lids 😍 Happy you found a trading opportunity!
Love the packaging but I just purchased Mel’s pallet she had created when the mini had come out from Sydney Grace, I had all her colors but was able to purchase the 9 I was missing.❤. Can’t wait to see your amazing looks.🥰
I found out about Mel’s Palette from the comments from different videos. I just checked it out. It’s beautiful. Yeah if I was in the market I would 100% choose that. Warms my heart looking at it.
I got Mel’s bundle instead of waiting for this palette. I’m not disappointed. Mel’s curation is so stunning, and even better in person. Not saying I’ll never pick up this palette, but I’m extremely satisfied for now with the SG shades.
Mine arrives today STUNNING passed on the HUDA and her Dream palette but this and the Mario YUP also finally got my hands on the original master mattes FINALLY
Hi Alicia! Congrats on the well-deserved PR. Unsurprisingly, I love all the looks you created - you are an artist and your eyes/lids offer the perfect canvas. I suspect this palette of muted shades would have flown under the radar, if not for the fact that we-fans of Natasha Denona have long been asking for a “midi” version of the mini retro. Green eyeshadow enhances the color of my eyes and suits my skin tone, so I think I am going to like this palette as much as I do the mini. Thanks for the demos - I will re-watch and follow along once I get my Retro-Glam palette.
So happy for you that Natasha sent this to you, you are so talented Alicia, you deserve this so much!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩For me a no. 52 years here, light to medium skintone, brown half long hair with higlights/balayage, dark eyebrows, but my eyecolour is: green....but hazel/khaki green. Besides the fact that i use softer for the eyes formula's a lot more, like Suqqu, this is totally not my colourstory, i have cool but also warm undertones, bit mixed also in my face. Maybe bit more cool, but i really don't like this colourstory to cool, and she comes 2 years to late, for me than, because before that time, i could handle any formula on my eyes. But enough other cute stuff when getting a bit older, and thankful for getting a bit older every time! Thanks for another wonderful video, have a great day!!!!!😘😘😘😘
@@aliciaarcher in this category, this brand is most innovative and creative, my opinion than, you know so much about Suqqu, dear Alicia!!! The Christmas quads i had my doubts but they are so beautiful! I'm so happy that Cult and Liberty have it, as Selfridges still does not ship makeup/beauty products to The Netherlands, and i also saw a couple of weeks ago that at even at Harrods it was not possible. This is all since Brexit. Love the UK, but would be great if there were selling possibilities in your country USA, in Europe! But happy the quads are mostly in my reach now!!!! Have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘
I had to go back and look at the swatches that you did on your arm again… First time I was distracted with your nail polish… I couldn’t decide if your polish was duo chrome until I finally realized two different shades. Really really beautiful I especially love the green nails super duper pretty..❤️
I just got this palette for myself for Christmas bc I've been watching all the videos, and it is so interesting how many different looks come out of it! Your version will be one to watch while I follow along. You have a wonderful large eye space with no wrinkles so they won't look as good as yours, but it looks fun for a green look, a pink look and a brown look. You do look really lovely in pastel colors and I liked the ND pastel looks you on you too!
I considered the mini to be Khaki & dusty coral/peach. Army Green & Khaki are the dusty, desaturated versions of Olive & Camel (Olive to me is a richer, warmer shade of Green) Sage is definitely a "dusty" shade. Pastels are a drop of color plus a lot of white. "Dusty" shades are a color plus grey (B&W) I have warm but desaturated natural coloring so I really like warm, slightly dusty shades since they don't overwhelm my natural coloring the way jewel tones & very pure, highly saturated golden-warm shades can. I could see this color palette looking chalky on people with deeper more vibrant skin tones who need more ooomph in their colors to not looked washed out. But I am personally loving these softer color stories 👍 I ordered the Mel designed SG bundle that is similar in color palette to this. I'd be curious to see comparisons to the ND palette.
I love the looks you created, very elegant and sophisticated!!! I feel like the My Dream palette would suit contrasted and warm skin tones and knew that was a pass for me. This one however looks like it would be better for cool and softer tones and that is why it's on my wish list. I think that's why it looks so beautiful on you and another RUclipsr Uli, because you both appear cool toned or neutral to me and I have noticed that everyone that didn't care for it was warm or had high contrast in their coloring.
You did an amazing tutorial. I absolutely loved it. My biggest wish is to see this palette compared to the Sydney Grace's Bundle "In Mel's Memory". It is the one reason I am not picking up the ND palette. I bought every shade Mel had suggested when she first dropped her video and I have been so happy with all the looks I have created with her palette. You are always a breath of fresh inspiration!!!
Hi Alicia 💜💜💖 Thank you so much for reviewing, giving us looks and sharing your thoughts on this palette. I really value your insight! I hope you and your family are well 🙏
Thanks for the lovely review. I bought this from Sephora at a discount and I can’t wait for my palette to arrive. I was going to wait for reviews, but that 20% discount was too tempting.
Aw man I am kicking myself for not ordering this last night! I had it in my cart but just wasn’t sure. I really like this one because I feel like I have so many warm oranges and reds, etc. Those Metallics and rose colors are everything!
I snagged this yesterday on the last day of the Sephora sale, even though it looked a likkle ash like, but it was soo pretty. I'm very excited to hear your opinion
I almost screamed of happiness seeing your review. You always gif thorough and honest reviews. Could you please do a comparison of the pink shades from the new palette vs the pastel?
Superb review, as always. Although the quality is doubtless excellent, this palette seems to have been curated by Mamie Eisenhower...and, for this consumer, that era has well and truly passed.
Alicia….you are the Queen of eyeshadow gradients! It’s mesmerizing watching you! I have this palette and can’t wait to put your looks to work. I did buy this palette on the Sephora sale. Btw.. have you seen the Isamaya cowboy launch? It’s beyond stunning! The packaging is just spectacular!!!! It’s on preorder on her website Thank you for your incredible instructions!
I’m happy you are able to review it so quickly! I keep going back and forth on this release, but it’s not my cup of tea. It lacks depth and I adore the cream to powder formula, but there’s only one of those in here… Maybe I will grab it in the future when there’s a discount, but it isn’t speaking to me atm. I wish it was more green rather than teal-sky blue.

I immediately sw this and thought of Mel. This was the palette she wanted Retro to be. It’s gorgeous. Thank you for your thorough reviews.
Thank you for watching, Rachel!
This palette is more appealing to me than Retro or Glam. It's like a monochromatic palette with a twist. Love your take on it!
Yes! There’s something special about it. It’s muted, but has character!
I would like to see a comparison between this and the pastel. It feels like fall pastel.
Exactly! A sage pastel fall palette.
The pastel will be more colorful, while this is more muted and monochromatic.
Love fashion and makeup.

I got Mel’s bundle instead of waiting for this palette. I’m not disappointed. Mel’s curation is so stunning, and even better in person. Not saying I’ll never pick up this palette, but I’m extremely satisfied for now with the SG shades.
You can never go wrong with Mel’s palette 🥰
Ooooh yes. Clicked like before I've even watched it. Can't wait for this! 💙
Thank you for watching!
Mine arrives today STUNNING passed on the HUDA and her Dream palette but this and the Mario YUP also finally got my hands on the original master mattes FINALLY
The way I clicked on this video so fast!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Whoop whoop! Hi!!
Fantastic! Thank you, Jocelyne! Yes, these shades are lovely, and happy she went muted with the greens.
I love this color story 😍. Greens are my fave. Beautiful looks!
These muted greens are 👌🏽
I L O V E your technical explanations!
Very happy I was able to get it ordered online yesterday plus the 20% off at Sephora
Can’t wait to get it
Whoop whoop! Happy it dropped right in the nick of time!
Thanks for another wonderful video, have a great day!!!!!😘😘😘😘
Hey Annemarie! Yes, especially Suqqu’s latest Holiday quad captures a similar vibe but a bit warmer.
Have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘
I had to go back and look at the swatches that you did on your arm again…
First time I was distracted with your nail polish… I couldn’t decide if your polish was duo chrome until I finally realized two different shades. Really really beautiful I especially love the green nails super duper pretty..❤️
Thank you, Janice 🥰
I always trust your opinion. So glad this was sent to you!
Thank you, Kylie!!
Thank you, Christina!! I’m happy to know that this was helpful, and that you are able to follow along!
Yes! Khaki is the better shade to describe the matte in the mini. I do love the sages 🥰
Yes friend!!!!!!! Come thru wit the review cuz its on the way now👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Laticia!!
I did pick this up sight unseen last day Sephora sale looks gorgeous!!!!!!!
Thank you, Leslie!!
Hi Alicia 💜💜💖 Thank you so much for reviewing, giving us looks and sharing your thoughts on this palette. I really value your insight! I hope you and your family are well 🙏
Thank you, Charli!!
Thanks for the lovely review. I bought this from Sephora at a discount and I can’t wait for my palette to arrive. I was going to wait for reviews, but that 20% discount was too tempting.
It was a tight window, but I think you will love it!
I haven't watched all your looks, but the first two are so beautiful, ethereal, truly stunning.
Thank you!! I enjoyed creating those looks!
Ahhhh that winged look ooooh la la! I must try that with this palette…It doesn’t seem like too much of a learning curve for me to do. Thanks so much❤
Thank you, Natasha!
Aw man I am kicking myself for not ordering this last night! I had it in my cart but just wasn’t sure. I really like this one because I feel like I have so many warm oranges and reds, etc. Those Metallics and rose colors are everything!
Maybe it will show up on another retailer for sale, otherwise you can grab it in the spring.
So glad you are receiving the PR from ND!! I absolutely appreciate how much work you put into the swatches, comparisons, demos, etc. 😅🎉
Thank you so much!!
I snagged this yesterday on the last day of the Sephora sale, even though it looked a likkle ash like, but it was soo pretty. I'm very excited to hear your opinion
It’s lighter, but it will have a more whimsical feel about it. Keep me updated!
I wish I could have somehow watched this video yesterday - it would have swayed me to pick it up during the sale! That's ok I'll wait until spring 😉
For sure!
We need swatch comparisons with the greens from Zendo!
I thought about Zendo, but ran out of time because I had to go to the gym 😅
You are the Best! Your swatches are so good and your look are beautiful as are you.
This is my dream palette. When I have coin I'm gonna use your link.
I almost screamed of happiness seeing your review. You always gif thorough and honest reviews.
Could you please do a comparison of the pink shades from the new palette vs the pastel?
Thank you, Barbara! The pinks from this palette are more muted/rosy, whereas the pinks from pastel are more white based.
I’m absolutely buying it, I don’t think I have any colors like it. Oh man I’m so excited lol
It surprised me!
Love this video, as I like the greens, but find them extremely hard to work with. Most helpful
I was able to order for the Sephora sale. I love it…I have so much sage clothes right now and rose also…perfect for me!
Superb review, as always. Although the quality is doubtless excellent, this palette seems to have been curated by Mamie Eisenhower...and, for this consumer, that era has well and truly passed.
It would’ve been interesting if Natasha kept the sages, but also included yellow browns. That color palette is still in retro territory.
I thought I wouldn’t love it as much as I do, it’s on my wishlist now 😂
I’ve been experimenting, and like to layer the taupe’s on top of evergreen. It’s like a muted, taupe green fantasy!!
@@aliciaarcher that sounds sooo exciting! I’m sure it looks très chic! 💚💚💚
Whenever I hear the phrase “Hi friendssss” come on I know it’s going to be an awesome day :)
The looks Natasha herself has shown on her channel are gorgeous too
I would love to see how thee greens pair with the ones from Zendo. Thanks so much for all the eye looks
Zendo has that mint shade, which I think has more white in it. And the other is more olive leaning.
It’s on preorder on her website
Thank you for your incredible instructions!
Probably because the more green exists in Metropolis, and Evergreen I think she wanted to be softer overall.
