I was there tonight, was super cool to be part of the record-breaking crowd. And let me tell you, EASILY the best atmosphere at the Kohl center I've ever been a part of. Basketball and hockey games just don't get that lit here. But damn, I know it's still early in the season, but this team does not look right, even in a lot of our wins this year. Timing is all weird sometimes with the hitters, Jade Demps is being used really weirdly, our backrow seems super stiff a lot. I'd be surprised if the rotation at the end of the year come tournament time will look too similar to the one it's been these first few games.
Perfect, Florida is already better than prior years. Good offensive flow, great defense, tall consistent hitters, and the right side is an all around player.
If you are a Florida fan, you have to be happy with freshman setter Stucky's polished play and #13 Beason's phenomenal all-around skills. Beason looks like an easy pick for First Team All-American. If you are a Wisconsin fan, take consolation in that so many things went wrong and yet the Badgers still only lost by 3. The first ball contact, service errors, setter timing, blocking, hitting errors, etc. and the Badgers still managed to claw all the way back. They don't have their chemistry yet, but they never lost their gritty identity. The acoustics and energy in the Kohl Center tonight were insane. UW Athletics has to be pleased with the turnout and we absolutely should do this over again within the next 12 months!
D1 women’s volleyball is deff on the rise. Extremely entertaining to watch these girls go at it. Great game by Florida but almost got caught slipping in the second half. Wisconsin are the defending champions for a reason. Don’t slack on them

Women's volleyball and women's sports in general are on the rise and by the end of this decade into 2030 IMO women's sports will be a norm on mainstream TV and streaming internet sources followed by millions of women and men. Remember as a teenager in the 1980s not even considering women's sports and even entertaining it as a joke and who cares kind of attitude. Now in the 2020s I think I find myself watching women's sports on an equal level with men's sports and liking it better then men's sports in sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and track. Would have never thought I would say this when I was a teenager boy in the 1980s but in the decades after the 1980s gotten very impressed by how good women are at sports especially in the recent years and this decade I think it will explode in popularity, IMO.
Julia orzol should not be a 6 rotation player yet, she takes many swings but few kills, makes errors at decisive moments. This 6-2 is a no-no, theres no bond between hitters and setter. No go to player to take big swings in transition, too many roll shots, off speed and way too many tips
Nah she reminds me of Meghan McClure. Good all around player and good to have on the court. She is dependable and while she’s not the most productive on the team, she does not hinder it.
Orzol is fine. Franklin should not be a 6 rotation. I don’t like how they’re using Demps or lack of using her. Don’t like the 6-2 at all. Just make Izzy the setter and move on!
If anything orzol is who they need on the court. Franklin and smrek need to step it up big time. Franklin should not be a 6 rotation outside with errors like that especially when they have a top ten recruit (Ella wrobel) sitting on the bench. This 6-2 needs to change and the coach needs to make reliable substitutions and utilize jade demps wayyy more. They have the talent they just need to get in the rhythm especially now that big ten play is starting
Sarah Franklin is so overhyped and has been for years. Girl is not that good like yeah she can smack the ball but she is WAY too high error. Also, Izzy Ashburn is not great. Wisconsin really gotta step it up with those two and their entire back row.
Wisconsin players are good. They lack in low sets, combination play created by their setters. Good fast ball swings, cross court and IQ play by Florida.
Can we all just take a second to appreciate that Florida's offense is being run by a FRESHMAN. Stucky, you are an animal.
