Wisconsin played GREAT forcing Pitt to play greater and they did. GREAT WVB game start to finish. Wisconsin arena looked spectacular hosting with that amazing supporting crowd. H2P!!! but appreciation for Wiscy all around!
Pitt picked up their game and put so much pressure on the service receive to Wisconsin. Kudos to them and I hope they bring the same energy in the semi against Louisville.
The way Wisconsin was blocking and hitting, I am surprised pit won, especially considering the fact that they got of to many strong leads and lost them, including that first set. To donit at the badgers home too was crazy and on top of that bad calls not going their way. I think they definitely have the edge over Louisville

If you extend points it’s to their disadvantage. Penn state did it and came back but came up short, pitt did not.

Man, that last touch by Smrek at 27:42 (match point) to save an off-court ball... See that's the trade-off when you go with someone who's HUGE in size, but lacks fine coordination and athleticism. Sometimes it's those little things that separate the winners from the losers.

@@ajollypanda4175he reason Wisconsin won was because of Dana Rettke. Wisconsin would be nothing if it wasn’t because of her, not for Smrek.
To be honest, the point was lost before she even touched it. The ball went past the center line so even before she touched it it was out of bounds. You'll notice the ref blew the whistle even before the ball hit the ground.

I had a suspicion Pitt would win since Thursday. Sad to see the lady badgers lose; badgers had too many hitting errors and Pitt defense doing so well. Congratulations to Pitt for being the better team.
I was betting that Louisville will win it all. But after the Pitt-Wisconsin game? I don't know. Pitt is looking fearsome.

This match reminded me of 2016 Wisc vs Stanford regional final. Similar seeding between the two teams and the same outcome, a 5th thriller and upset. It felt like Wisconsin couldn’t stay on top long enough to pull away from Pitt and Pitt kept edging them out in key moments. Pitt was just too gritty but Wisc played their hearts out nonetheless ❤️
Why isn't this at least 1080p? Or 4k? I know 4k is much harder to upload and takes longer on youtube, but 720p makes it hard to watch.

The WI Libero was targeted all night and against Penn St too. I was surprised at how much she struggled.
Wisconsin up 12-11 and ref didn't have the guts to call an illegal set on Pitt. 8,000 fans saw it. Sad. Congrats to Pitt. They were tough.
The Serena Gray no touch that was not a touch but called a touch that gave Wisconsin a point. Typically these calls even out. The better team won against a tough team and a very loud Wisconsin crowd b
@@locomojoboy2 Hey I've reffed high school and college volleyball for 32 years. You have to call it no matter what the time of the game it is. She's backing up while she is setting 5 to 6 feet outside the court and sets 25 feet to the right side. Get a clue. It was a momentum killer. As I said, congrats to Pitt!!!!!
@@gregcarter6610 You have to call the illegal hit and call it right away. It was obvious. Has nothing to do with a challenge. Momentum killer. Congrats to Pitt as I stated.
@@PatrickMcIntyre-ju8xe I understand your point but the ref did not see it as a double contact. I certainly would not say he lacked the guts. He made the call as he saw it. But Gray’s no touch touch was huge as all points in a 15 point 5th set are. Any potential missed call is important. Overall I thought the match was decently refereed. A few calls for both sides could have gone either way. In the end, I think the women on the court decided it.
@@gregcarter6610 completely agree. Imo Wisconsin had the players and talent to not even let Pitt take a set, but Pitt served so tough the entire match and looked in control. I have never seen Wisconsin out of system SO many times, as a husker fan I really thought there wasn't a team other than Texas that could beat them.
