Yes...totally agree. When Meri was legally married to Kody the family seemed to function (although not perfectly) but it mirrored the lifestyle they proclaimed to have...when Robyn came on the scene and he "divorced" Meri everything fell apart. I actually started feeling sorry for Meri because she was showing a more vulnerable side of herself. Poor Janelle and Christine were completely passed over for Robyn. And I'm am so over Robyn's fake crying with no tears...never ever saw one real tear from her.

When it's been said covid has revealed 'them' I believe covid has revealed Kody. Good for her sticking up for herself, and her children because he sure isn't.
Yeah that is why I called BS Cody left Christine to take care of their daughter after MAJOR surgery alone. If he didn’t travel or was there when she had the surgery. He should have been in that house to help Christine take care of her 24/7. Trudy was also a small child who need attention from the other parent when the sibling needed care. If Cody won’t sacrifice time with a well child for a sick child why would he practice this type of life style. He think that last two children by Robin needs his undivided attention?? What about Trudy and any child that becomes ill??
I have watched in and off for awhile. Mhe has always been this horrible. He was better at making it before. But you can't fake that forever. And they have been on TV for years now.

I love how Cody justifies himself by saying he will never leave any of his wives. But what does he think he's doing when he cuts them off from any intimacy and only sees them as friends? Ysabel’s operation and him actually suggesting she goes alone, while carrying Robyn’s anxiety ridden (mental health needs a professional) children around was thee most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever seen. His daughter who had been suffering for years needed pain relief through an operation and her father. But he couldn’t leave for her… bad awful guy
Why is Robyn crying that she doesn’t know why they can’t figure it out? She knows she kept Kody from. The other wives and fakingly saying that she did everything to make him share himself with the others while guilting him into coming home to her. She wants her cake and eat it too. That was really hard. Twenty-five years is a long time. Being told by your husband he doesn't want an intimate relationship with you while he has at least one with another woman. She's an awesome example of a strong woman to her kids and her "extended" kids, and the rest of us as well.
Christine everybody loves you and are so happy that you're finally going to get a chance to be happy. And it's too bad that that others in the family besides Janelle did not see or acknowledge your worth in the family. Janelle knows why her kids turned out so great.

She knew making Kody divorce Meri and being the legal wife that the others will just technically be mistresses under the law and whatever financial gains they have the others have no recourse if they try to leave. Reason given in the show was that in order to adopt Robyn's children from a previous marriage Kody and Robyn had to be legally married. So he divorced Meri and married Robyn.

That's funny because for the past few months I've been mentioning how Cody want said he would never divorce or leave a wife that they would have to leave him. And when I said that I was talking about how he's literally been trying to drive three of them away. How heartless and humiliating to have your husband say publicly they don't want to be intimate with you or they don't love you and are not attracted to you? I remember the first seasons of this show. I remember thinking to myself, I would never be in a polygamist marriage, but nonetheless, I could appreciate and respect their dynamic. It felt healthy for them. The family did such a great job representing the lifestyle.
With what's unfolding now, my only thought is, "people grow apart, marriages end. Its a shame, but honestly who would want to be in a non-intimate marriage. I think Christine did a brave thing by leaving, but I also understand why Meri is staying. It all around sucks to see a family falling apart.
In the end we saw a dude have many wives then in the end only choose one. The lesson here to many men is it sounds nice in your head reality is different.
Turns out it was never like they portrayed - even at the beginning. In their autobiography, they tell how Meri was so cruel to Janelle, Janelle actually lived away from Kody and Meri - with her kids - for almost two years. And SO MUCH MO"RE. Bankruptcies - 3 of them - Janelle in 1997, Meri in 2005, Christine in 2010.
Meri was a bully all along - brought Robyn into fam behind J and Ch's backs.
Seeing Christine leave the cult and Kody has been the peak of the whole show.

Kody gets worse every season, but this season was a serious low for him. He was a monster and a maniac. The thing that surprised me the most and something that not many people have even talked about is how he treated Ysabel when she needed surgery. That poor sweet little girl was in such unbelievable pain and torment and Kody is like, "What? You can wait til Covids over so I can go with you." So heartless to his own child's suffering!
Kody wanted Christine to delay the surgery until Ysabel was 18, so he wouldn't be responsible for the medical bills. (But, he spent $15K at Victoria's Secret on Robyn. They stayed at the finest hotels and dined in 5-star restaurants, while his own daughter was undergoing very risky surgery.)

Way back when Robyn was first coming into the marriage Christine thought she would be the 3rd and last wife. She was happy to be that, but she said she was unhappy way back then. I think she is doing what is best for her and her children. I think Kody brought this all on himself!

Kody as a spiritual leader/husband, failed his first three wives after no more child bearing from them. He left them spiritually, emotionally, never “brought the bacon home” to any of them. The wives had to have their own income to support their children. And support from the government. Except Robyn, the other three wives have supported her and her children. Her princess, easy, free loading days are numbered, even to paying for her nanny. Christine raised seven children and Robyn can’t manage two with the older three. Well, maybe not completely, as Meri will always stay and support them but not in their current lifestyle.
Kody says he won't say divorce, but says I won't tell them to stay! So he's putting it on them to leave, making it look like it's the lady's fought it didn't work, witch is crap he made them feel worthless, only thing I hope he dose for Queen Robin is make her feel the way she made the others feel!
