Hey, guys! Latios's artwork in this video should be credited to ArtsyTheo. This may be obvious, given that they were credited for Latias in the previous video. But this is a mistake I wanted to correct and am sorry for.
As someone who loves the battle facilities, I am obsessed with Latios. It is insanely overpowered in the Emerald Battle Frontier. Dragon and Psychic being special in that generation really lends to Latios being necessary for getting the Gold Symbols.
One of the rare Pokemon that actually liked Dragon Claw being Special, too. I have fond memories of using Calm Mind Latias in the Battle Frontier, since I picked it in Emerald due to already having Latios from Ruby.
@@BigKlingy what's neat about Gen 3 Lati@s is that Dragon Claw + Surf hits everything for at least neutral damage. So you can afford to have both Calm Mind and Recover to ensure their survivability Sceptile was another Pokémon that enjoyed having special Dragon Claw even though it didn't get STAB from it
@@Paws42 I loved Surf Lati@s because so few non-Water type special attackers get it. (Just physical attackers like Snorlax and Rhydon) Surf as a non-STAB coverage option is weirdly novel and it made the Latis stand out more. And I fondly remember Dragon Claw Sceptile too. It's why it felt lacking in ORAS as so much of its learnset became physical (even its former signature move Leaf Blade), while Blaziken got better and Swampert stayed as good as it always was.
I love how their sprites portray their different personalities. Latios is upright, and stone faced whereas Latias is leaning forward towards you and is smiling.
With Latios being corrected to latino's by chugga's phone, I wanted to say my phone corrects Latias to Latvia. So I nicknamed my pair Latvia and Lithuania
Something worth noting: That scientist in the bottom left of the dreamyard basement is the only place you can see Klang aside from an optional area of the game. If you aren’t raising one yourself, it’s pretty easy to miss!
I love that the lati twins BOTH trolled emile with psycho shift by holding out on using it till later in the fight and it threw him off. Both times. Like sister like brother. And given that latios is typically depicted as the ELDER sibling... we can see where latias learned to troll like that.
I used Latios in my playthrough of Omega Ruby. The dude was a special attacking monster, even more so when it Mega Evolved! I also loved its appearance in Pokemon Heroes! I still cry during the scene where it sacrifices itself then turns into the Soul Dew...

They also did that with Plusle and Minum, and Volbeat and Illumise. I don't think either was exclusive, but the one of the same colour as your version was a lot rarer.
They weren't exclusive, but one was far rarer than the other. For example on Route 110, Minun was 15% encounter rate in Ruby (and Emerald) and 2% in Sapphire, vice versa for Plusle. In ORAS you could only find the common one in hordes, but the other one would appear in those hordes 5% of the time. I remember trying to find Minun in Alpha Sapphire for DexNav completion and got a Shiny Magnemite.
@@mattybutler1985 I remember wanting a Volbeat because Tail Glow was a cool move, and it taking me so long to find one in Ruby. I never realized eggs from Illumise could hatch into either.
Chugga, you’re not going to believe this, but I got a shiny Latios this morning from soft resetting this particular one! I know a shiny legend will come your way eventually, wishing you the best and love your work!
Pokedex entries are often hilariously off base from stats, especially when it comes to speed. Like Pidgeot being able to fly at Mach 2 but has lower base Speed than Fearow, whose Dex entries are focused on its stamina rather than its speed.
In honor of Chugga's struggle with Laitias yesterday, I would like to share a story of my struggle to catch the star of today :Laitos. I was a kid playing Ruby and when I ran into Laitos, a Pokemon I didn't even know existed before finding it, I made it my mission to catch him. Now in Silver you could stop a roaming Pokemon from running by putting it to sleep. I took out an oddish, evolved it into Vileplume, taught it sleep powder, and gave it a quick claw. It between hunting Latios I kept leveling up Vileplume and feeding it carbos in the hope of putting Laitos to sleep. After over a week of this I got Vileplume to put Laitos to sleep. I cheered as I thought I had him within my grasp only to be left dumbstruck when the game said Laitos fled. I felt so crushed my plan didn't work. After this experience, I never used the Master Ball on the box legendary again because screw roaming Pokemon! lol.
Players of FireRed and LeafGreen have to defy the sacred oath to use the Master Ball on Mewtwo if they want the roaming Legendary Beast in the post-game, since Entei and Raikou could use Roar and delete themselves from the map forever. Thankfully this isn't the case with Suicune but I'd probably save the Master Ball for it anyway if you chose Charmander since, as you say, screw roaming legendaries, no one misses them.

Yeah, getting rid of Draco Meteor does seem like a good idea to me. Flygon's attack stats aren't that high to begin with, and it wants to attack with its higher one because of that. Way back when I kind of thought you should have gone with the Adamant Trapinch, and I still think so.
It's incredibly validating and hilarious to know that I got my larios with a modest nature and surf (like recommended) and seeing that chugga caught his in a great ball (like I did)
19:09 Chugga is now the Master Medalist. Wonder what kind of absurd tasks await for the remaining medals. To become the best at collecting medals, *like no one ever was* And I agree. They should bring it back.
Latios still remains my favourite Legendary to this day and the Soul Dew nerf in Sun and Moon made me sad. When I played Ubers in 4th and 5th Gen it was an absolute beast!
Latios is tmsome of the most hilariously broken Pokemon, it's more impressive since he's a Dragon type, and yet he not only stands out, but is head and shoulder above most Pokemon
7:59 “you gotta be pretty tired of not joining my party by this point, so just do it.” Lol I love that line so much XD 9:29 also apparently purugly can overtake jet planes too because it’s faster than latios.
Is anyone else looking for a pikmin 4 play through? His pikmin play throughs were my childhood and remain my comfort media for any times of grief. It’s amazing how much a stranger can influence the entire life of a child nowadays and then they just turn into an adult with fond memories and attachment to a serious of videos.
I said it in the last episode's comments but Latios is a pokemon I've really come to appreciate recently using it ito grind for Ribbons, to the point where I just said screw it and decided I'd make him a Ribbon Master too. It's a truly incredible pokemon. Hell I literally just finished getting the multi battle ribbons in HG and I was lucky enough to get it as a patner on Mira multiple rounds in a row and even in the AI's hands it hasn't let me down yet.
*In Striaton City* *Ontario, Shanir, Shimmer, Shantae, and Sasha stand/float around not saying a word as the rest of the group explores the Dreamyard* Ontario: ... Shanir: *looks at Ontario* Hey, want to talk? Ontario: ... Fine. I honestly can't be mad at you. Shanir: ... You know, I'm proud of you. Ontario: Really? Shanir: Taking action for yourself and standing for what you believed, I commend you for that. You've certainly grown up a lot since we first met. Ontario: Yeah, I guess I have. Sasha: Hey Shanir? Shanir: Yeah? What is it? Sasha: Ontario told me a few things about you when he ran away that time. Like how you were rejected numerous times before deciding to leave. What made you want to do that? Shanir: Well, I guess, I couldn't handle it anymore. I was sick of being trapped in those walls and wanted to be free. So, when I saw Bianca heading out with a set of Pokemon for Blaise, I snuck out and followed her from afar. Ontario obviously followed me as well, something I wasn't too thrilled with, but I warmed up to having him with me the more time went on. Shantae: You thought of him as your brother, right? Shanir: Not at first. I told myself I was his guardian and nothing more. But like I said, as more time went on, I finally warmed up to calling him my brother. Ontario: And I'm glad I got to have this familiar connection with you, at a time where no one wanted to be my friend just because I was 'different'. Shanir was the one Pokemon I could turn to no matter what. Shimmer: ... Almost, like what we had together. Three Snivys nobody wanted starting our own family together. If the world didn't want us, we'd still have each other no matter what. Sasha: Yeah. ... Until things turned soured. Shantae: Even though we were there with you, I still want to know what happened to change who you were. Shimmer: I just hope that there is hope for me and that I'm not just screwed for eternity. Sasha: Well there has to be something. And this cane of Ghetsis' apparently is the key to finding that out. Shimmer: That, cane... *looks into the eyes of the cane. Several waves of pain flash through her mind before looking away* Shantae: You ok? Shimmer: ... I'm, fine. Just, don't show me that cane, please. Sasha: O-Of course. *puts the cane away* Shanir: Where are those guys? Ontario: *looks around and spots them* There they are! *Pignati and the others walk over to the group* Pignati: Hey guys. Everything alright? Sasha: Yeah, we're good? You guys? Aidan: Better, to say the least. McFly: We had a lot of time to think about our actions. Jade: And truthfully we all acted out of line. Lasagna: We just jumped to conclusions without really thinking first. Harmony: I am certain there was meaningful thoughts in our minds, but not enough time to process them in the moment. Pignati: But it's ok, we're all good now. Shanir: Alright then. So next up is Acculema Town, and then finally Nuvema Town. Shantae: Just a little bit furhter till we get to N. Shimmer: Let's just hope he's still there. Harmony: He is still within the vicinity. Pignati: That's good. Ok, let's go. Ontario: Together. *the group heads out with the ultimate goal of finding N* *to be continued*
Blair: *Yawn* I'm awake. Again... Ottawa: Morning, Blair. Blair: Morning, Ottawa. *sigh* Guess yesterday wasn't a fever dream... Hex: Good morning, Blair. Your mother left for groceries an hour ago. Blair: Oh... Okay. I'll go and get changed so we can go get some battle time. This will take so much time to get used to.... Later Pidove: Don't kill me! I have a family and kids! Blair: Ugh... H-ha-haywire. Get 'em. Haywire: So long, sorry... Pidove: NOOOOOOO! (Pidove fainted!) Blair: Ugh. (collapses) How am I supposed to get used to this? Is this what N heard every pokemon battle. No wonder he wanted to end all pokemon fighting. How do you guys handle it. Haywire: I don't. You wonder why I have the worst performance in battle. Terrabite: Lived to see half my friends get knocked out on the daily. We liked to steal revives from the back of shops. Ottawa: Starters were taught that fighting is a good way to bond. Hex: Killed ten before meeting you. Roc: I ALREADY DIED ONCE! Blair: Ugh!

The struggle with the Lati twins at least has a funny ending, for now at least. In contrast I caught mine in like 5 turns with a heal ball. As someone who's using a Musharna while playing along, there are a few moves worth catching it as a Munna for. Yawn is nice to put things to sleep reliably if you can stand waiting the extra turn, Moonlight for self-healing is nice if you don't like using healing items in battle like I do and Stored Power might be a fun option as well.
I'm glad I use safety's, I was doing bench press while listening to the fight against latios and the chain of no shakes had me break out laughing and fail the lift! :)
one thing i do respect about chuggaaconroy is he stays true to himself. Whilst every youtuber is playing the new DLC this week and some even hacking the new mochi event, chugaa will still be consistent with the BW2 playthrough. Although it would be nice to see him play through some of the newer pokemon games too, but whats waiting for a couple of years for some quality chugga content.
Quick thing to mention, Competitive didnt exist in Gen 5, so Jigglypuff didn't have it. Anyways, I have to thank you for this LP. B2W2 is my favorite pokemon game, you're using my favorite pokemon, and you're doing amazing covering this game, so thank you~
Latios is pound for pound the best Pokémon in the pwt since he’s not banned from 90% of the cups and his moveset lets him carve through most opponents especially since there’s no dark or fairy type gym leaders up to this point in the series so the only thing he has to worry about are a few other dragons and some steel types which aren’t exactly common since there’s only two steel gym leaders up to this point.
To become the best at collecting medals, *like no one ever was*
And I agree. They should bring it back.
Oh, there is some absurd stuff. And I feel like for one of them in particular, that Latios will be returning with its dew.
@@blue_boo3171Yup
13:22 can we talk about how smooth that cut was
Latios still remains my favourite Legendary to this day and the Soul Dew nerf in Sun and Moon made me sad. When I played Ubers in 4th and 5th Gen it was an absolute beast!
Latios is tmsome of the most hilariously broken Pokemon, it's more impressive since he's a Dragon type, and yet he not only stands out, but is head and shoulder above most Pokemon
I didn’t know chugga had an almost perfect Elmo voice 😂
You’ve not seen Return to Dream Land or Star Allies with TRG. Magolor is basically Elmo according to Chugga.
It also doubles as a Magolor voice!
7:59 “you gotta be pretty tired of not joining my party by this point, so just do it.” Lol I love that line so much XD
9:29 also apparently purugly can overtake jet planes too because it’s faster than latios.
That 4:48 sequence just put the dumbest smile on my face. Called 3/9 (zip, zilch, nada), was NOT expecting "Congress", LOL
I can't tell if Chugga was making a joke or genuinely saying he likes Top Gear. Gotta be one of my favorite shows with Grand Tour as well.
5:20 Poor Godfrey. Even in other Let's Plays, he gets no respect. Not that he deserves any...
Knowing Tim, the legend at nicknaming he is, he'll probably nickname Latios something EXTREMELY funny and witty.
I appreciate that because of Tim there's now a Hank Green reference in a Chuggaaconroy video :)
Meanwhile, in another reality...
Hey chugga, I just finished finals a few hours ago and this is just what I needed to perk me up. Thanks man :)
As someone studying political science, the Congress joke was very accurate and hilarious.
Latios in that thumbnail look fantastic
I said it in the last episode's comments but Latios is a pokemon I've really come to appreciate recently using it ito grind for Ribbons, to the point where I just said screw it and decided I'd make him a Ribbon Master too. It's a truly incredible pokemon.
Hell I literally just finished getting the multi battle ribbons in HG and I was lucky enough to get it as a patner on Mira multiple rounds in a row and even in the AI's hands it hasn't let me down yet.
Glad to see Chugga took less turns on Latios.
I wonder if we'll ever see another "Lati" Pokémon.
*In Striaton City*
*Ontario, Shanir, Shimmer, Shantae, and Sasha stand/float around not saying a word as the rest of the group explores the Dreamyard*
Ontario: ...
Several waves of pain flash through her mind before looking away*
Shantae: You ok?
Shimmer: ... I'm, fine. Just, don't show me that cane, please.
Sasha: O-Of course. *puts the cane away*
Shanir: Where are those guys?
Ontario: *looks around and spots them* There they are!
*Pignati and the others walk over to the group*
Pignati: Hey guys.
*the group heads out with the ultimate goal of finding N*
*to be continued*
Confirmed: Shanir and Ontario have basically been stalling Blaise this whole time
Blair: *Yawn* I'm awake.
Later
Pidove: Don't kill me! I have a family and kids!
Blair: Ugh... H-ha-haywire. Get 'em.
Haywire: So long, sorry...
Pidove: NOOOOOOO! (Pidove fainted!)
Blair: Ugh.
Blair: Ugh!
Those low IVs on Latios reminds me of how the roaming Latias and Latios in RSE were bugged to have really bad IVs always, and it's only the one you'd catch on Southern Island that could have even decent IVs, bad luck
A male fashionista is indeed called a fashionistio.
"dragon/psychic gets a neutral match against basically the entire world of pokemon. you'd be unlikely to run into anything that resists eith-"
Steel.
Thankfully Latios can learn Fire Type moves
Pignati, Entry Log 95: Me and the team agree that were just nothing to note of today and decided we’d just chare the same Entry Log. It was another nice day of exploring and battling. We all look forward to reaching the next town which isn’t far from here and hopefully we’ll get to my home town in the next few days.
McFly, Entry Log 90: *Nothing to add*
Aiden, Entry Log 85: *Nothing to add*
Jade, Entry Log 78: *Nothing to add*
Harmony, Entry Log 69: *Nothing to add*
Lasagna, Entry Log 37: *Nothing to add*
Lasagna (without shell, lengthwise) 2’07”~, Aiden 3’03”, Harmony and Lasagna (with shell) 4’07”, Pignati 5’03”, McFly 5’11”, Jade 6’07”.
Lasagna (without shell) 26.5 lbs.~ Harmony 30.9 lbs. Aiden 63.9 lbs. McFly 66.1 lbs. Jade 180.8 lbs. McFly 305.6 lbs. Pignati 330.7 lbs. Lasagna (with shell) 440.9 lbs.
Emile saying "Congress" as a synonym for "zero" is perhaps the most political I have ever heard him get.
so proud of Blaise transitioning so fast that it's done in a blink of the eye
and also got a shiny
Fun fact: with the addition of the new mythical in SV DLC 2 the zubat line is now the last gen 1 family with a unique type combo
"Skipped" trainer defeat text for this episode:
13:05 *Youngster Keita:* My Pokémon fought well, didn't they?
13:54 *School Kid Rita:* I'll have to work on that move some more...
16:06 *School Kid William:* I'll learn from losing, as well!
17:28 *Psychic Olesia:* Eeek! I foresaw your thoughts, but I lost!
I've used Latios in BDSP's Battle Tower and man is it still godly as it's ever been.
in black and white and it's sequels pokemon never break out of their pokeballs after 2 shakes only on 0,1 and 3.
“Speaking of jiggly things”~chuggaa only the OGs will remember this one
The struggle with the Lati twins at least has a funny ending, for now at least. In contrast I caught mine in like 5 turns with a heal ball.
As someone who's using a Musharna while playing along, there are a few moves worth catching it as a Munna for. Yawn is nice to put things to sleep reliably if you can stand waiting the extra turn, Moonlight for self-healing is nice if you don't like using healing items in battle like I do and Stored Power might be a fun option as well.
You know what would be funny if latios a pokemon based on a jet plane was slower than a fat cat who makes a girdle out of it's tail😉

I'm glad I use safety's, I was doing bench press while listening to the fight against latios and the chain of no shakes had me break out laughing and fail the lift! :)
This series makes me so happy every day lol. I want it to stay forever, but I know that can’t happen haha.
This and last episode show why they make all the story legends easy to catch nowadays.
Your excitement is contagious when you catch a pokemon, I was pumping my fist in the air when you caught Latios
Can I just say: this LP makes me so excited for the inevitable SV LP!!
Btw in the dreamyard basement on fridays I believe a static musharna can be found at the grassfield where the moonlight shine’s
That Jigglypuff voice at the start of the bio absolutely sent me...
Ah yes, protagonist of the 4th pokemon movie, Latinos y Latinas
Latios in a great ball is just perfect, completely balances out the awful luck on the last episode.
This episode already greater than before!
one thing i do respect about chuggaaconroy is he stays true to himself.
B2W2 is my favorite pokemon game, you're using my favorite pokemon, and you're doing amazing covering this game, so thank you~
Emile: Ah yes, my favorite Pokemon. Sean!!!
Me: **happy gasp**
God you've done it again! Everytime im scared you miss something you suprise me!. Im so glad to see you battle my favorite of the Eon Duo!
There’s something so funny about chugga dunking on Pokémon he’s used in past playthroughs, nobody is safe 🤣
I swore up and down the archeops iris had knew head smash but no it dosent
Latios was like "can't catch me! mwahaha!"
11:09 that Monokuma reference LMAO
15:12 THE JIGGLYPUFF PART OML
Jigglypuff channeling Magolor. Watch Kirby Star Allies with TRG for context.
"Fashionista" actually can apply to men as well as women, even though it is generally used for women.
Man is a monster.
MY BROTHER LATIOS!
as soon as the latios info popped up i was feeling a little uneasy like something was wrong.
i then realised that there was no Hey everybody its Chuggaconroy!
Little typo, Musharna's stats in Munna's bio has Wigglytuff's stats. But then again so minute that it is barely noticeable or important.
“Godfrey from Xenoblade 2 … Congress”
