Han Jisung is a beast and its about time that people realise it. Its ridiculous that some guys from the west (average roadside rappers ) keep on talking about his rap skills as if he is new to rapping. From versatility, to the rhyming schemes, to the freestyle, to the flows and cadence, he checks all the boxes. He is outstandingly allrounded in all forms.
Han Jisung is fr too good i mean his flow is so different and unique. The way he sometimes raps off beat and somtimes faster then the beat on purpose?! And he literally has like a 100 voices and he is a lyrical genius while also being one of the best producer and vocalist?!?! Listening to his new song "Miserable" i was mind blown😭 this man never fails to surprise me.
Han has to juggle vocal, rap, mood maker and baby girl. Changbin has to juggle vocal, rap, maknae, girl group choreo and muscles. I don’t know how they can handle it all.
what I find insane about Han is that you would think it takes him days to complete his lyrics, and then when he goes live and talks about the songs and gives us behind the scenes he would say: "it wasn't that hard too write, it took me around 2-4 hours". examples: - Wish you back in 4h - Slump 1h - Maze of memories 15min - Easy melody in 1h - We Go 30 min - Sunshine 2h he mentioned in his volcano live that it wasn't that hard to write and that it took him quite fast. And im here like "wtf"
It’s hilarious how the top comments are about Han Jisung. I can tell that this list was as objective as you could have been because most RUclipsrs who are into rap go mad over Changbin (nothing wrong with that) but almost never take notice of Han’s parts. His flows are so satisfying and the way he put Collision together is a prime example of how well he does it (he also did the vocal arrangement). So yeah, I was very surprised to see him placed above CB for once. I really enjoyed this video. Your enthusiasm, explanations and insights were on point. Thank you! I’m definitely going to check out some of the other artists on your list, starting with Soyoen.
Why you bitter they praised han? I have seen a lots of youtuber impressed with han raps not only changbin. These comments here they praised han alone without inserting anyone in their sentence but what you did you praised changbin and degrading han. That so low of you
@@Alt-ut8xe So you didn’t read my whole post. I’m literally praising Han for his rap. I found it hilarious because I was just as happy as everyone else to see him finally get the recognition he deserves. Do yourself a favour - don’t be that guy in future.
@@RockamockEven as a huge Changbin stan myself, I'm happy to see Han getting all this praise too. Imagine having TWO of the very best rappers in kpop in your group. Insane. I love you Stray Kids! 🫶🫶
Han jisung is a beast 😂😂😂 and because he's vocalist people tends to overlook him as a rapper but he's a rapper who's master of freestyle and rhyme scheme and undoubtedly one of the best freestyle rappers in today's kpop
I think out of all the rappers here, Bobby is probably the most instinctively musically driven in terms of his approach in rap and his strengths as a rapper, which both of these things from him are very hard to come by not just in kpop but rap in general. For example, the accenting in U MAD is even much more complex in relation to the very textured and complicated beat of the song than in JID's151 Rum, although they were both accenting in an atypical sense. Bobby complicates it even further with his dynamic and expressive vocal projections adding to the music and creating a very tight synergy. This is why I find him the most impressive among Korean rappers, not only because of his delivery but because usually when rappers conjure a creative flow they tend to be very clinical and go further away or sounds detached from the music. Bobby never does even in times when he raps offbeat. Every single time. In every type of music. Like you pointed out even in unexpected styles. Sometimes, his binding is so pronounced with his rapping transforming into the drum instrument itself like in Language. Other times the loose enunciation, elongation and bending of words allow for seamless unconventional rhyming. Not to mention the mind-boggling versatility. Notations can only present so much. His special skills are perceivable yet hard to translate and are uncommon, hence often discounted and sometimes unappreciated during rankings and evaluations. I believe it's also why Bobby is somewhat underrated while ironically universally acknowledged even by the most xenophobic listener or the strictest purist. "You don't know what hit you but it will hit you undeniably". Does people recognize his genius in rap? Because unlike conventionally great rappers, his genius is harder to articulate. It's definitely something you can't get from a rap manual. While most rappers are too busy following the mold and sound like others, Bobby doesn't try to be like you said. I can't find any other rapper that sounds like him in rap history even the way he present himself as a rapper. His dynamic and masterful use of his vocal instrument paired with his unconventional rapping and themes allowed him to successfully create his own sound and own artistry. As an art form, originality still reigns supreme than the most intricate copy. Bobby is a rare kind and definitely stands out to me the most.
Still watching the vid but read your comment already. Thanks for the breakdown as someone who likes rap but doesn't know the complexities of it. Bascially, you explained what I always feel about Bobby but can't explain in words. And you're right Bobby's skills are "perceivable but hard to translate". Bobby always has that lazy genius / chill vibe and personality but really works the hardest and I believe that also translates to his rap and his music.
I knew Bobby and Zico would be in the top 3. They are beasts. And YESS Han Jisung. He is one of my favorite rappers. But unfortunately, he is often overlooked as a rapper, even by his own fandom. And I also want to point out that he is an amazing freestyle rapper
I always loved Han as a rapper but when I heard We Go… the build up from the mumble rap to the aggressive, enunciated rap is insane. And then he sounds different again in “All My Life” with Lil Durk, he’s a madman. My bias is trying to kill me!
Solid list. Jooheon is the one who first changed my view of 'idol rappers'. The energy he delivers in every verse is just insane and unmatched. I like how you explained everything.
I'm So Proud Of han his rap style isn't Just my fav among Skz but K- pop in general when i saw changbin i Thought than han wasn't Included so I was kinda disappointed but then Seeing him at #4 I felt Very Proyd of him Also the fact that 2 skz Rappers are here Is insane Honestly proud of soyeon being the only Female here!
Soyeon clearly said that lyrics is important to her. And she started learning raps and writing rap verse since 4th grade. To create good rhymes, you must have a good vocabulary. How do you develop your vocabulary? In the past, I created a notebook containing only punch lines. In my notebook, I wrote down all the words by rhyme. I studied a lot about rap. I also found a lot of words that didn't rhyme but sounded like rhymes. Who influenced your music? A mentor. My rap teacher when I was in high school. I learned a lot about rap, he is a great mentor who taught me the basics, how to write good lyrics, and how to show sincerity. Have you seen soyeon lyrics in Leg3nd? It's so good, how she used the word gold digger in her rap. I've read somewhere that soyeon tend to use negative words and turned it into positive, example: gold digger. Btw, a trainee 17 yrs old JSY managed to get the respect from her upr3 contestants (even voted as #1 rapper in the show by other contestants), smtm contestants (who appeared in the show), the mc and the khiphop rappers and producers who guest in the show. That speaks a lot about her rapping skills right? Imagine she was a trainee that time, and she really have passion for rapping.
Got a little nervous when you hit Changbin and we hadn't seen Han yet. Ngl, I figured if he wasn't ranked lower than Bin, he was going to be overlooked altogether (not because I expect that of you, per se, but because that's just something I've seen happen over and over from listeners and reactors in general since literally day one). I adore Changbin, but I find him and Han overall equal, with some different strengths and traits, and I couldn't possibly choose between them because, for me, they trade back and forth with their standout moments just depending on the song and what trait we're looking at. So it drives me nuts how unjustly disregarded Han often is in terms of his rap. Like, most reasonable people understand he's good, but it always seems to be "Oooooh, Changbin! Oh, and also Han, of course," which I find unfair to both of them. There's no rule that says in any group there can be only one great, but it's amazing how often people default to that. (Honestly, I have the same view on the BS people pull about SKZ's dancers, but that's a separate rant.) Anyway, yeah, I got a little disappointed when I assumed Han was gonna get overlooked and under-rated again,. if he wasn't ranked lower than Bin. Thanks for pleasantly surprising me!
people do this so often actually. they usually rank Changbin higher than Han and their reason is because he has a dark voice or he's "loud", not exactly going deep into the analysis of flow and lyrics etc. That just makes me respect them less, because most of them are indeed Changbin biased with no rap expertise and they mix their preference with actual facts. That is why I was actually kinda unsure whenever to watch this or not, because carkpop is indeed known to be Changbin biased and that could result in unfair grading and analysis. Just to say that most content creators aren't objective when ranking, they mix their personal feelings into subjects they generally don't even know much about. And also, whenever someone praise Han's rap skills or prefer his style, there will always be CB stans in the comments trying to say otherwise and also downplay Han being also the Main rapper, or just not as good as changbin, which is very untrue. What people need to understand is that there is something called preference, and Han and Changbin have really different styles when it comes to rapping in general, and they also excel in different areas. I totally agree on that statement, and I feel like Han biased people need to speak up more about this issue, because more and more cb biased people make Han seem as the lead rapper and cb the main rapper, when they both are main.
It makes my heart happy to hear the excitement you excude about them, and how passionately you respect them. They are all truly so talented and skilled!
You are my favorite person to watch when looking at kpop rap. I feel like you really look at things objectively and give credit to the idols that with public opinion, don't get enough. With lists that other people make you almost always see RM,Suga,Jhope,Lisa and Jennie on there. Suga should definitely be on this list, and RM is a very close contender. But people often forget the less popular rappers. Hanse is not popular enough so is often not on these lists Soyeon has a hate train behind her for no reason Joohoney is often disregarded as just a fast rapper Jongseob is disregarded because he is a 4th gen artists and the best raps are on bside tracks I feel like Bobby and the SKZ rappers are the only people that often get the credit they deserve. Mino and Zico are definitely top 2 overall, but feels kinda like cheating because they are currently more actual rappers than kpop artists. But they should definitely be top 2
the fact that all my ults are here, soyeon, zico, bobby, mino, suga, changbin🥰 and soyeon really be proving herself as the queen in rap game competing with all this monsters really speaks about it. and this is my first time knowing about that bbn numbers😅
Well, I’m an old woman and I never thought I would like raps until I started listening to k-pop, but when I discovered Monsta X my head explored, I like different rappers like Suga, Chanbin IM etc but Joohoney omg !!😱 I don’t know it’s something about his delivery that make me anxious 😅😅, Monsta X they title tracks are aggressive and I like it ( I repeat I’m old 😅 and let’s not talk about the b sides, I just love them) but talking about rappers, all the rappers in your list are amazing but for me Joohoney it’s the best 😊 Sorry if my grammar is not good but my English it’s not good 😢 Bendiciones 🙏🏻💕
p1harmony are having a full album soon according to keeho so hopefully jongseob could get a solo (also jongseob is 17 !! his birthday is in november ^^)
@@djjhdropthebeatyo ya it's so impressive. btw how soon will they release the full album? like this year or next year? I love their entire discography but I don't get much time to catch up with them :(

My favorite jooheon verse is actually the verse that hyungwon wrote for him in wildfire. His verse is very huge. And I love it and jooheon did the verse Justice.
@@MorePara8 he did write wildfire :) that’s why he sung it on the no limit tour as part as his solo stage and the others sang there songs they have on there solo stage. But wildfire is hyungwon song. He’s written I think close to nine songs I believe if I’m not mistaken. His first was nobody else and he’s written two songs for kihyun second solo album also :) and he wrote a song for the band AB6IX also :)
@jessicaglass I know Hyungwon is the prime producer and songwriter of Wildfire, what I meant is that he didn't write the rap parts, Jooheon and Changkyun did that (they are credited as songwriters). Hyungwon has produced 10 songs (yes I keep count, I'm weird), he's really good, he also produced a song for Vanner recently
@@MorePara8 oh he wrote one for vanner? Wow as a hyungwon ult bias I just learned something knew :) thank you for telling me that. And did they write the rap part for jooheon? That would make sense but I swear I saw somewhere that hyungwon wrote the rap part for him and kept that in Korean Because jooheon is more comfortable wrapping in Korean. I could be very wrong on that. Thank you for the info :)
i live for mino rap appreciation -- to me he is definitely genius lyricist and just one of the most diverse in terms of flow -- he's insane he surprises me in every project he does - thank you for the complex breakdown because i have been shouting from the rooftops that song mino is just one of truly the best and he's still evolving and sometimes people discredit him and his talent and it so ?????? i would just like to add zico's no you cant is crazy because in the dingo video where he performs it, he goes so fast the english translation cant even keep up he so -- also you talking about how zico constantly evolves and has been doing well since 10 or more years ago ,, correct i never realized it but your right that's exactly why he deserves the spot
I'm the opposite! I like a flatter, less guttural delivery from him, though it has a lot with how they use it in the production. It's employed really well in songs like Zone and Get Cool, but I feel like sometimes it interrupts the flow of the song. I wish they would realize (if they don't already) that Changbin's tone is as unique as Felix's and can be utilized with even more diversity to be really impactful within the production.
@shelby3174 I agree I thought I was the only one that thought his tone was as unique as Felix's. I love felix but honestly I enjoy Changbins voice and tone more.
I fell off my chair when I saw Han above Changbin, but having followed his prolific work and listening to your reasoning it made sense! Anyway this was an amazingly done video, K-pop has given us such great rappers
I really love Changbin’s tone… one of the best tones for a rapper I’ve ever heard… but over all I do prefer Han’s rap style… I’m not a pro but there’s something in his rap that really impresses me a lot Specially his rap part in Runner’s High… that’s like one of my fav ever!! And Mirror Mirror Changbin’s rap part- DAMN- he really did that… like- I was gagged- like- in a good way ofc his flows are also top tier imo…
BRAVO 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 wonderful video matt, incredibly interesting and you're so passionate talking about this stuff, it's amazing. Personally my ranking is a little different (also because I contemplate ties) but this one is pretty legit. I don't understand how some people say no kpop rapper can rap... these rappers show the opposite. Matt where is Woo Jinyoung in this objective ranking of yours? About Changbin's delivery, I love both his early very aggressive delivery and his more recent and versatile delivery (with inflections and stuff) but here's the reason why I think he won't use his older delivery anymore, at least not often: his delivery changed with skz changing the main topic of their songs. At first Changbin's aggressive delivery matched the "angsty" lyrics of skz songs, but since 2020 skz began to shift to more confident lyrics, yes they still have emotional stuff but I wouldn't say "anger" is one of the main emotions now. Imho Changbin changed delivery because of that, to match what now he's talking about. Imho it's still very unique, but that's my take, I don't know if I explained it decently. Shout out to you again and to everyone who helped you make this video 👏🏻
Woo Jinyoung is very interesting. Everything he needs is *there*. He's had great Rhyme schemes like "Room", great deliveries like "Rapper of Seonjeongneun" (I always forget the spelling), and cool flows like "Birthday"! The problem for me including him in the top 10, or even potentially there, is consistency. He almost feels similar to "Kemy" for me, but on a slightly lesser scale. It's not like he's been pumping insane verses out with D1ce for years, and he's not even in D1ce anymore on top of that. If he started releasing an album or two every year, of the same quality that he had the past two solo mini's he had, I think he could make a really strong case to be here. But that's a really simplified way of putting it. As for Changbin, that's a very interesting theory!! I still wish we'd hear it angry rap again, but very cool if that's the reason!
@carkpop I agree on Woo Jinyoung, he's great but in d1ce he didn't rap as interestingly as in his solo songs and now he has no group. I hope he'll release something in the remaining months of this year cause I really like him, but I don't know if he's under a label or what.
Kinda unrealted but jongseob has done unofficial solo songs -gameboy -moon (These songs are sooo good 👍) But it doesn't seem like crazy flow or "rapping" in general is his prerogative, he just making music to have fun (like how it should be?).... a full album is coming up soon so we'll have to wait if they'll give him a chance to show more then
A lot of these comments seem to be negative on this list. While I don't always agree with the recency bias you put on these lists I do understand why you put it in there. This list is as objective as possible and given the parameters I agree with your assessment. I love hearing your thoughts, examples and breakdowns. Keep up the good work.
Park woojin is my favorite rapper in K-pop. I know he may not be bts or skz level of rapping. I feel he’s pretty underrated as a rapper in general. Even though he was good rapper in wanna one. I feel like he is a better rapper in ab6ix. He’s recent raps are so good. He deserves me recognition.
Yeah, 2023 has been really really good for him rap-wise. His solo back in the beginning of the year did WONDERS. If you've seen this video from June; ruclips.net/video/hMPIeCpU_Uk/видео.htmlsi=1mRhB_3qg2F3RkRZ THREE of his verses from his solo were in the top 50. He's definitely gotten a lot more opportunities since joining AB6IX, and I'm really excited to see what else he can do!
I am not bias but BTS and Stray kids are the rappers K-pop groups Especially Suga ,RM, Han and BIN and I am not fan but IKON BOBBY he can rap too Even though I did not see RM, but dam he is a lyrist, faster especially in JOKE AND DOPE 😊😊😊and i think he deserve a spot on this top ten
I think a lot of work has been put into making this list, and I couldn't agree more. you did a really great job and i enjoyed all of it. the comment section tho is funny, yall praising your bias and getting mad they didn't rank higher... if you don't know a thing please leave.
Jooheon my favourite kpop rapper for his personality and voice but I love Stray Kids rappers too. I wonder if you did an update for 2024 ( I am not sure that you haven't btw) I wonder if Hongjoong from Ateez would have a place.
Hey, I was just wondering what you think about the differences between rapping in korean and english? Do you think rap sounds better in korean or is there a big difference in style between popular hiphop artists and khiphop/ kpop rappers? Do you think korean sounds more appealing and if so, why? I didn’t listen to rap at all before I started to listening to kpop, but I love the rhythmic complexity of the raps. Could you please recommend me some american or british rappers? Especially rappers that play around with different deliveries.
One thing that impresses me about Korean rappers (and I know this does apply to some other non-American rappers, too) is how easily - and effectively - they can switch back and forth between languages, if they choose to. I imagine writing multi-lingual lyrics that ALL convey the message and ALL still create amazing flow can't be easy.
There aren't too many differences in rap based on the language. Rap at it's core is the same no matter the language you are using. For me personally, I prefer Korean rap because I find a lot of English bars & lyrics to be pretty cringy or just, lyrically turns me off when I inherently understand the meaning. Stylistically though? Yes, there is a difference. Korean rap, and especially Khiphop, tends to focus a lot more rhythmically on the bars than English. I'm not sure if that's intentional or if it's genuinely a side effect of the language, but kpop & khiphop tend to allow the raps to flow in more diverse ways than English (and it's usually a lot easier to make basic rhymes to my knowledge). While English tends to focus more on Word Play.. I think this is evident too when you look at Korean raps using word play, A LOT of them will incorporate english into that word play in some form or another. Of course, myself being a drummer and the rhythm of raps being the most appealing aspect, I tend to lean towards Korean raps a lot more than English. That being said, I don't really listen to too many English rappers, so I don't really have the knowledge to recommend many that would be able to play around with different deliveries. The one main America rapper I listen to is JID. I don't think he plays around with his delivery too much, but he's gotta be one of the best right now in terms of lyrics and flow.. He really does have a lot of cool rhythmic stuff like you'd hear in Korean raps. ruclips.net/video/Y19q-7VN2WI/видео.htmlsi=2_naVn7kAXhcs0_k&t=164 ruclips.net/video/Ww_YlWm_SHM/видео.htmlsi=Q9Jrz1Gb_ysv9nQj&t=6 ruclips.net/video/EVlGLtCnN-Y/видео.htmlsi=wZ-tZ46tN8Dha5CC&t=116
@@carkpop Thanks for the reply! I’ll be adding some of JID’s songs to my playlist. You make an interesting point about using english as well as korean. I have so much respect for the people writing the raps to be able to write lyrics using two languages. Thanks for the videos also. I love your analysis!
Yeay, Ravi, my boy 😭❤️ So glad you mentioned him in the honorable mentions 🥹❤️ His music is literally my safe space, I love his work so much. If Hanse disappears my heart will definitely shatter. He's literally my 2nd most favorite rapper, one of my ults too. I truly hope he'll keep creating music for us. He was so, so stoked about his first solo album coming out. I just can't imagine him not releasing music.. The industry would lose one of its' biggest talents hands down.
Just discovered this video. All of these are good (especially Changbin, Suga, and Han) but noticed RM was missing. Curious as to how you made your decision on who went on this list. RM's rapping is no joke (no pun fully intended) and, even with Suga being the better rapper, RM is still a great rapper...
RM was in the Honorable Mentions ^^... To do a quick quick explanation, if this was 2015 or 2016, RM could easily be argued for #1. However, over the past few years especially, it's really really hard to not take into account a lot of very mundane rapping like in "Run BTS', and even some of his solos as of late. Now to be fair, INDIGO did have some great "old RM" feeling raps on it with superb lyrics, but ahhh it's just like, if you asked me (at the time of this video), who would create a better rap on the same beat with the same amount of time, between Soyeon who I have #10 here, and RM who would be #11 or so ... like, I'd have more faith in Soyeon giving me a better rap in 2023. What RM did in 2015 and 2014 is EXTREMELY important for the state of modern kpop rap, and even some up and coming 5th gen rappers who probably idolize him, but I can't ignore the very lackluster raps he's done recently that pull him down comparative to Zico & Suga, who've been around just as long, but without the recent year fall off if that makes sense..
@@carkpop It does and I may have missed parts due to getting ready for work. I also forgot to take into account he wasn't as active as some of the other members (that I saw, anyway) this year leading up to his enlistment. But, yes. This does make a lot of sense. Thank you!
Bobby is one my favorite rappers. Not only is he one of the best but he's so good live!!! You'll want to listen to the live version more than the recording. 😊
"He can easily become one of the Best Kpop Rappers" but he really is now, he is recognized as the Best Rapper in K-pop. When it comes to the style of rapping, he has the most unique flow, raw and honest lyrics that you often only hear in a kpop rappers especially with his unique flow as if he is making his own flow, he is such a genius rapper. He can also rap with emotion that I have never seen in other kpop rappers, so maybe he is the kpop rapper who can rap with intense emotion. Perhaps the lyrics of his rap are also important to Suga, he not only focuses on the flow and delivery of his rap but also the lyrics. I really like Suga's rapping style💜
Zico is undeniable king. Anyone who knows even a little about rap can tell this. Others are also good, but he is not yet reachable heights. I also disagree a little about Mino and Bobby, the 2nd one is much better in live, as it seems to me, I heard Mino live several times, which is frankly worse than the recording. The time Bobby is always lit.
Do you mean Khiphop? Or genuine underground rappers with 200 monthly listeners? Khiphop? No, Zico's not top 3... potentially he's top 10, but it would be hard to make that argument I feel. However he is up there still. Underground? I have no clue. The vast majority of Underground rappers are underground for a reason, they aren't *that* good. However, I'm sure there's at least 3 or 4 (probably more) undiscovered underground rappers who are better than Zico right now, so I'd lean towards no as well, he wouldn't be top 3 here either.
@@carkpop K-hip-hop like BEWHY, Tablo, Benzino, dynamic duo. I didn't know if K-hip-hop and underground rap is different! And, i like to compare Zico to Bewhy as top 2 Korean rapper in their generation, because they are about in the same age. Many said Zico is the best, many said Bewhy. Do you take Bewhy or Zico? Are they in the same level? And is Bewhy in the top 3 of K-hip-hop rapper?
BeWhy/Justhis/Zico ... Kid Milli is probably up there.. Don Malik.. There's a whole bunch of really insane rappers at the top of Khiphop. I'm not really the person to ask for an opinion on this objectively as I don't concentrate in Khiphop. Underground rap *IS* Khiphop, but it's the "unknown" part of Khiphop. Khiphop is a very established genre, so if you're a guy like Bewhy who's super famous, you're not really "underground".
I know everyone knows Yoongi is an amazing rapper but I feel like people listening to bts always point out RM over Yoongi so this is sooooo refreshing to see
@@carkpop he signed with the dial music, it’s an indie label that has only 3 artists him, bigone and dive, they’ve already dropped a single called pop punk (hanse is just a feature) but from the teasers, the promotions and the other artists’ previous releases it seems like they’ll focus on pop punk rather than hiphop i remember that originally blaze didn’t include take over and his company asked him to write it cause they wanted a rap focused tt, originally he was going to promote public enemy only so i wouldn’t be surprised or maybe i’m wrong and he’ll simply continue to do both (hopefully)
@@elenapicco1412 he's said himself that he'll still do a variety of music! he's always been more diverse so it's great he finally has the chance to do everything he wants he has a lot of friends in the rap/khh scene, so he'll most likely still feature on things even if his current upcoming album is more rock-focused! he actually featured on a song/mv that released just yesterday, so I wouldn't worry too much (동박사 - 하인간 if you haven't heard it yet, it's on spotify and there's an mv on youtube)
hanse from victon is INSANE. ty for including him. i would totally switch soyeon from this list to hongjoong from ateez tho. hj never dissapointed tbh.
I mean, I can understand the initial thought of that~ ... my only thing with HJ is he tends to focus WAAYYY more on production & producing then rapping. He has a couple of impressive flow schemes, like Halazia being a recent one. But Soyeon does a bit more with her rapping in terms of music theory , rhyme schemes, and flow schemes... even with the lyrical play too. I mean, if you have a bunch of examples of impressive Hongjoong raps I've just overlooked, feel free to send them my way.. but yeah~ HJ for me is somewhere in the #20-30 range overall... still super high (considering there are HUNDREDS are Kpop rappers), but it would take a *lot* for me to see him in the top 10 overall. But again, please send stuff my way if you think you can back up the claim, I'm more than happy to hear ya out~~
@@carkpop hongjoong in the new album is i n s a n e. his flow schemes improved a lot. the way he delivers and isnt afraid to experiments with the tone of his voice always drives me crazy. he never disappoints to find ways to put his parts in the new light. my other honorable mentions r horizon and win. for soyeon, my rlly subjective opinion(!!) but she doesnt get to play with her flow in terms of performing that much. it seems like she always sticks to fast and nasal sound. i need more spiiice yk?? she had a few attempts in switching up but her voice overall always sounds the same. it all “blends together” from the way she delivers herself. (bless her soul for hann, latata and k/da tho, one of the best raps of decade ngl) i know u focus mainly on rhythm patterns so i think thats why ur preference goes to soyeon. for myself i find delivery more important so thats why my preference goes to hongjoong.
Firstly, I think you're mixing up using "Objective" & "Subjective"; at least from the way you're using it. Objective = backed by facts ... subjective = backed by opinions As for your notes on Delivery; I believe I mentioned in Soyeon's segment here... you can not enjoy her voice, but still recognize her skill, not just with Flow & rhyme, but also with delivery. I gave some examples in the segment, but just to clarify a bit further, Soyeon *does* have variety in her delivery. Now she's not like Changbin or even Yezi (as a female comparison) per-say, where Soyeon adds a multitude of Voice inflections like them, as well as changes in the raps themselves, but rarely changes her physical voice in the way you can see Changbin does with Zone vs. Fly High... or the way Yezi does in Mimew vs. No Name. Of course that's a slight knock to Soyeon, and one of the few reasons I have her at 10 instead of 1 ... Fair point on Hongjoong with his delivery on the new album. His verse in Dune for example has a wonderfully done delivery; "This World" with a pretty complex flow if I recall correctly... But just to clarify in case you were misusing Objective vs Subjective ... you can like and enjoy whomever~ I would never tell someone they have to have Soyeon around their #10 for personal enjoyment. This is looking more at factual skill, ability to do complex things, and having variety, even if I'm not too huge of a fan of them. Hopefully that makes sense~

The fact that both main rappers of Stray kids are in top 10 is self explanatory.
The only group with 2 members in the top 10. Although B.I and RM were really close to make it too
@@Robalexefr
Soyeon being the only girl there is crazy but she deserves it so much
Han Jisung is fr too good i mean his flow is so different and unique.
Considering that Han has to juggle the vocal rap and visual position is really impressive on his part
I don't think he has to juggle the visual position, he just shows up.
Han has to juggle vocal, rap, mood maker and baby girl. Changbin has to juggle vocal, rap, maknae, girl group choreo and muscles. I don’t know how they can handle it all.
@@StaySirenand the award for my favorite RUclips comment ever goes to...
he’s an ace so🤗
what I find insane about Han is that you would think it takes him days to complete his lyrics, and then when he goes live and talks about the songs and gives us behind the scenes he would say: "it wasn't that hard too write, it took me around 2-4 hours".
examples:
- Wish you back in 4h
- Slump 1h
- Maze of memories 15min
- Easy melody in 1h
- We Go 30 min
- Sunshine 2h
he mentioned in his volcano live that it wasn't that hard to write and that it took him quite fast.
So proud of my Jongseob, he’s such a talented boy, like come on he’s 17 and rapping like this⁉️⁉️⁉️😫❤️🩹
han jisung didnt come here to play.... he came here to rule (my 3racha)
Bobby will drop album this coming oct10 and its heavy hiphop..cant wait for you to check it out
I’m so excited! Not only to see any cool rap stuff he does, but just as a fan of him. His recent stuff has been super good for me~
Oh how did I miss this news?? I'm hyped now
Can’t wait for it to come out!!
Han is really the Ace 🎉
Soyeon is just really that girl
Soyeon's voice isn't my favourite but you can't deny girl has talent.
she actually has multiple voice tones

Yes!!! Her voice isn’t my favorite but that doesn’t mean I should deny her talent.
I agree with EVERYTHING u said about Bobby
Fact:Bobby is the only idol rapper and youngest to win SMTM bro
Not A fan...but i think Bobby from iKON is the best rapper....he is A monster...
Yes, I agreed
I'm just here waiting for binnie and han and I know jongsob from p1 will be here that guy will climb the ladder of rap and sure thing suga and zico
Jongseob being 17 is so crazy! He literally writes his own raps for every title track and produces music… just wow
REALL he doesn’t get as much recognition as he deserves for his talent
He gets, its just that the other's are better
Nice list, i love how passionate you are about this. I feel like a lot of kpop fans overlook rap.
bobby comeback this 10/10! he said it's his most intense album yet so seriously can't wait!
Btw Bobby is releasing another album on October 10th … he said all the songs in this album are gonna be hard hiphop 🔥🔥🔥
jongseob is still 17! he turns 18 on the 19th of november. which is crazy because hes still so young and already amazingly skilled
(Honestly, I have the same view on the BS people pull about SKZ's dancers, but that's a separate rant.)
Anyway, yeah, I got a little disappointed when I assumed Han was gonna get overlooked and under-rated again,.
if he wasn't ranked lower than Bin.
Hanse is not popular enough so is often not on these lists
Soyeon has a hate train behind her for no reason
Joohoney is often disregarded as just a fast rapper
Jongseob is disregarded because he is a 4th gen artists and the best raps are on bside tracks
I feel like Bobby and the SKZ rappers are the only people that often get the credit they deserve. Mino and Zico are definitely top 2 overall, but feels kinda like cheating because they are currently more actual rappers than kpop artists. But they should definitely be top 2
the fact that all my ults are here, soyeon, zico, bobby, mino, suga, changbin🥰
and soyeon really be proving herself as the queen in rap game competing with all this monsters really speaks about it.
and this is my first time knowing about that bbn numbers😅

My favorite jooheon verse is actually the verse that hyungwon wrote for him in wildfire. His verse is very huge. And I love it and jooheon did the verse Justice.
I don't think Hyungwon wrote it (unless I missed when they said that)
@@MorePara8 he did write wildfire :) that’s why he sung it on the no limit tour as part as his solo stage and the others sang there songs they have on there solo stage. But wildfire is hyungwon song. He’s written I think close to nine songs I believe if I’m not mistaken. His first was nobody else and he’s written two songs for kihyun second solo album also :) and he wrote a song for the band AB6IX also :)
@@MorePara8 ruclips.net/video/g4-bycClYoA/видео.htmlsi=8TRzXMEWsnu74Omf this is his version of wildfire if you want to check it out :)

One day Jongseob will be a professor Rapper 😎 he a genius harmony ❤
Jooheon!!!!! 🔥💯❤
No conozco a otro rapero como él, Joo es ASOMBROSO! Y para rematar tiene un vocal demasiado bueno!
Monsta x lo mejor! ❤
man Jooheon’s delivery is truly the best
34:32 I miss the growly style from changbin too. So i often find myself repeating his verse in zone many times.
The fact that soyeon is the only female rapper on list
I fell off my chair when I saw Han above Changbin, but having followed his prolific work and listening to your reasoning it made sense! Anyway this was an amazingly done video, K-pop has given us such great rappers
I really love Changbin’s tone… one of the best tones for a rapper I’ve ever heard… but over all I do prefer Han’s rap style… I’m not a pro but there’s something in his rap that really impresses me a lot
Specially his rap part in Runner’s High… that’s like one of my fav ever!!
And Mirror Mirror Changbin’s rap part- DAMN- he really did that… like- I was gagged- like- in a good way ofc his flows are also top tier imo…
Bobby ❤
Kinda unrealted but jongseob has done unofficial solo songs
-gameboy
-moon
(These songs are sooo good 👍)
But it doesn't seem like crazy flow or "rapping" in general is his prerogative, he just making music to have fun (like how it should be?).... a full album is coming up soon so we'll have to wait if they'll give him a chance to show more then
Just Knowing Stray Kids has two members on this list (Changbin and Han) shows you just how good their rap line is
I wonder how many people actually watched all the video, and not just their bias parts
me watching only soyeon ☠️☠️☠️
I want Zico, Bobby, Binnie and hannie to cover world wide choppers.. make it happen
Awwww, I miss lyrical analysis 😢. But that aside, awesome video!! Perhaps tope 10 fave/best rap schemes?
If you've seen this video from June; ruclips.net/video/hMPIeCpU_Uk/видео.htmlsi=1mRhB_3qg2F3RkRZ
THREE of his verses from his solo were in the top 50. He's definitely gotten a lot more opportunities since joining AB6IX, and I'm really excited to see what else he can do!
Definitely deserves a honorable mention here
Jongseob is an INTJ guys😂

Zico is undoubtedly best rapper in k-pop with Mino/Bobby behind
@@chetnaprajapati8972 your opinion.
The minute I heard Han rap I knew he was going to be my fav 😭
The exact same thing happened with Yoongi years earlier
W video and good job for the long ass editing ! (Thanks for the mention even tho I didn't do a lot here lmao)
Sobbie.. ☺️💙💪
Suga supremacy
Zico is undeniable king.
Anyone who knows even a little about rap can tell this. Others are also good, but he is not yet reachable heights. I also disagree a little about Mino and Bobby, the 2nd one is much better in live, as it seems to me, I heard Mino live several times, which is frankly worse than the recording. The time Bobby is always lit.
35:46 I've never heard say daechwita like that
Yeah. Joohoney onehundred is here
Jooheon so underrated
The question, if we count underground rappers . Is Zico still ranked in top 3?
I know everyone knows Yoongi is an amazing rapper but I feel like people listening to bts always point out RM over Yoongi so this is sooooo refreshing to see
btw i’m pretty sure hanse will join the pop punk or rock scene, i’m glad he’s doing what he loves the most but i’ll miss him as a rapper
awwww that sucks to hear TT ... what makes you think this? Did he mention he wants to get into rock?
@@carkpop he signed with the dial music, it’s an indie label that has only 3 artists him, bigone and dive, they’ve already dropped a single called pop punk (hanse is just a feature) but from the teasers, the promotions and the other artists’ previous releases it seems like they’ll focus on pop punk rather than hiphop
i remember that originally blaze didn’t include take over and his company asked him to write it cause they wanted a rap focused tt, originally he was going to promote public enemy only so i wouldn’t be surprised
or maybe i’m wrong and he’ll simply continue to do both (hopefully)
@@elenapicco1412 he's said himself that he'll still do a variety of music! he's always been more diverse so it's great he finally has the chance to do everything he wants
he has a lot of friends in the rap/khh scene, so he'll most likely still feature on things even if his current upcoming album is more rock-focused! he actually featured on a song/mv that released just yesterday, so I wouldn't worry too much (동박사 - 하인간 if you haven't heard it yet, it's on spotify and there's an mv on youtube)
0:59 nooo i was actually using it lol
For me the list is NOT suprise and I kinda agree... I don't know everyone on this list but the TOP 3 is obviously
Mingi's enunciation reminds me to Bobby's (and they also look alike a little little bit🥹)
hanse from victon is INSANE. ty for including him.
i would totally switch soyeon from this list to hongjoong from ateez tho. hj never dissapointed tbh.
(bless her soul for hann, latata and k/da tho, one of the best raps of decade ngl)
i know u focus mainly on rhythm patterns so i think thats why ur preference goes to soyeon. for myself i find delivery more important so thats why my preference goes to hongjoong.
Although Hong is a great rapper, he isn’t better than Soyeon
@@chesiresays i explained why he is a better rapper imo. its all subjective after all
Firstly, I think you're mixing up using "Objective" & "Subjective"; at least from the way you're using it.
Objective = backed by facts ... subjective = backed by opinions
As for your notes on Delivery; I believe I mentioned in Soyeon's segment here... you can not enjoy her voice, but still recognize her skill, not just with Flow & rhyme, but also with delivery.
