We went to Dollywood this past June and my four year old and I LOVED Big Bear Mountain. Under 42" at Hershey you're stuck riding Trailblazer and Cocoa Cruiser. Hopefully my son will hit 42" next summer so we can at least hit up Comet, SDL and Laff Trak (if it's ever a short wait). Hershey could easily do a nice out and back layout in an expansion and leave lots of room for futher expansion. If they want to go crazy they could do a Cheetah Hunt'esque coaster too. Throw in some rockwork and use the creek a little. The park is kind of in this weird spot with Chocolatetown and the entrance being off in a corner, pretty far away from the main body of the park. Even with great rides the expansion is kind of at risk of being empty mid-day in the summer. It'll be very interesting to see what they do. My "never going to happen" idea would be to somehow have a second gate in the expansion that is open year round. Across Park Blvd throw in a huge indoor waterpark like Europa Park has. Central PA is extremely boring in the winter!
Loved everything you just said I definitely think something similar to big Bear Mountain could end up at Hersheypark. I just don’t think it would be on the same scale size wise because that thing takes up a lot of space.
A full size Mack extreme spinner would take the coaster line up to the next level without going giga . As far as needing more family coasters I feel that the family line up is underrated you have Coca- coaster , SooperdooperLooper ,Comet , Trail blazer , Lighting Racer, wild mouse, Reese's Cupfusion and a strong family flat ride selection.
I think I dive and wing are totally out. If I had to make a bet id say a multi launch like Big Bear Mountain. They could really play with the land back there
I agree I just don’t think that one of that magnitude and with that price tag is in the budget. That’s why I said a launch coaster similar to wave breaker.
@@francogrisafi8283 that’s what I’ve heard but I could see a family B&M invert before a giga and I honestly can’t ever see a giga not enough space and to much money on 1 attraction
Even with a turntable, Icebreaker would be a throughput nightmare with the crowds they get and the fact that it's right near the gate. Candy has high capacity and that gets an insane line especially earlier
@@ThemeParkMotivation oh boy let me re ask then simons hotel an days in use to be like a 15min walk is there any hotel ever since they re did HP thats a 15min walk
I heard about it two years ago, but I didn’t have anything solid to back it up, but I did see the permits but now it’s official if you give me a little bit of time I’ll put a link in the description
I know its a very "Coaster Enthusiast" take but Hershey needs a giga. With the Cedar flags merger Hershey needs to keep at it while they are ahead now that six flags parks have a real chance at getting giga coasters. A giga at Hershey would almost put it on equal footing with Cedar Point and Magic mountain for best ride lineups.
You don’t know how bad I would love to see a giga coaster at Hersheypark and it really kills me to say this, but I don’t think we ever will see a giga coaster at Hershey for numerous reasons. One thing is the park is so tight as it is way over crowded with rides, this expansion I was talking about is a must because of that reason alone the only place to put a giga coaster would be right by candymonium others have speculated that Hersheypark has a height restriction I will differ on their opinion of this. I believe if Hersheypark wanted to add a giga coaster, they could get it done, but even a small scale, giga coaster, the size of Orion, which Kings Island paid roughly $30 million for that same coaster in 2026 would cost over $40 million. The cost of steel has increased almost 25% in the last five years.
I understand the Dorney comparison, but, outside of Iron Menace, they haven't built much of anything in the past 20 years so I think the data isn't really there to say 100% that Hershey won't follow Dorney. I think it could be a dive coaster. I also think it could be a wing coaster. Skyrush isn't comparable to the B&M wing coasters on the market. I think that argument applied when Hershey decided to build a B&M hyper since Skyrush wasn't really comparable to them. It's a bit more intense than both B&M wing and hyper coasters. Beyond those B&M options, I could also see a family launch coaster or something similar.
I respect your opinion and appreciate your thoughts on this. You are correct. Dorney hasn’t added much but they were also rumored to be adding an S&S scream and swing Which is why I think Hershey pulled the trigger on it as quick as possible I could be wrong, but I don’t see adding one now you’re absolutely right that sky Rush and a B&M are not very comparable. I would love to see a B&M family wing coaster one thing I know about Hershey is they like to be different and now with their neighbors to the south about three hours away adding a launch Wing coaster, it’s highly unlikely, especially when they could go a different route, although I gotta say one would look sharp as you went to the park much like Cedar Point If they were to do a dive coaster, I could see them doing something similar to hang time add Knotts
There was talk about Canyon River Rapids being reborn at the far end of the expansion behind Giant Center. Hershey also still has the trademark and designs for the coaster Turbulence that was originally going to go where the Giant Wheel was in 2005. This could also still be in the future development plans.
Yes, I would like to see something similar to Mystic River Falls at Hersheypark. What an excellent ride that is probably the best water ride in the country that being said I don’t know about behind the giant center because that terrain back there is treacherous that’s not to say they couldn’t, build it up or whatever they gotta do
We desperately want more dark family rides, like chocolate world. We would love if they could make a story book ride, or a trackless ride. Don't get me wrong We love the roller coasters but they are lacking a lot on strong family rides.
Something like Pipeline The Surf Coaster would be great addition

These are great idea or a family launch coaster like Pipeline The Surf Coaster
honestly rhe most likely coasters are either a family coaster from vekoma or intamin or an intamin or vekoma extreme lauched coaster
I kind of feel the same way
However Hershey has said to have signed a 3 coaster contract with b&m

Would really love to see a new Vekoma at Hershey. Mack spinner would be incredible but I just don't see it for some reason.
Me too
new water park is in the plans... follow the construction proposals to earth moving firms. ask Barry hint hint

Barry ? Hint ? Help
A Vekoma family launch coaster like Big Bear Mountain in Dollywood is the most logical choice.
I agree, my friend by the way, congrats on the channel man you guys are really doing well. My daughter and I really enjoy watching your content.
Where and when did you hear about Hershey Inn & Suites? This is the first I'm hearing about it.

Due to the local airport I doubt a giga is possible but something like “Pipeline The Surf Coaster “ could help keep it family friendly
I think there’s definitely something going on there expansion or bust
Let’s hope for a new coaster

The south central PA accent is funny. Hershey park is dookie. I set my expectations so low when I go so I’m rarely disappointed.
Why do you say that? Btw I’m from south Boston so what accent 😂
