WOW! So many tremendous moments to comment on. This Dailyvee was literally a BIZ/LIFE 2.0 advance course!!
The last part ... the conversation you had with James Cole left me speechless. You finally articulated what I've been feeling since I read CRUSH IT back in 2009 and can even trace the feelings before 09'. It's a lifetime contract most people are not willing/capable of signing up for (nor should they). Even though I cannot report super CRUSH IT BIZ STATUS (yet) I can tell you my life and its trajectory is 1000% because of the catalyst named GARY VAYNERCHUK/CRUSH IT.
I'm happy to tell your crew in detail just how CRUSH IT completely changed my life. I will say that reading CRUSH IT version 2009 now in 2016 doesn't have the same power as it did reading it in 2009. You were way ahead of the times G!
CRUSH IT shifted mindset and forced anyone reading it in 2009 to think differently and recalibrate the what, why and how we were doing our "work". CRUSH IT wasn't just about doing work you love or out-caring your competition. CRUSH IT was and is a sobering look in the mirror forcing you to answer ... "how are you going to do the passionate work you do in a way that is relevant, VALUABLE and dynamic to capture people's attention in 2016, 2017, 2022, 2036, 2045 and beyond?"
*2nd favorite part was seeing GG and hearing Brandon's voice in the same shot ... 33:25❤️ *POWERFUL EPISODE G&D😍

    • @ruggeddiamond71
      @ruggeddiamond71 8 лет назад +3

Is there really such a thing as bombing? Gary will remember this guy and if he doesn't, a couple clues will get him there. So while that guy didn't succeed on spot, at least he's on the radar, and now, if he stays with it, just needs to keep climbing the ladder... but he's on Gary's radar. I'd rather bomb the first time I meet someone like Gary and build my way back up, then not have a chance at all. To me, the dude succeeded, he got his 2 minutes and is on the radar. How awesome is that.

So I've read Crush it and it definitely helped me build my businesses, but what it really did for me was it helped me to understand what I'm actually passionate about (I think that's related to having a successful business and a happy life). I don't remember what page this was on but Gary basically said he'd stay up until 3 am talking to people online about wine and that's what helped him with Wine Library. This might not sound that impressive but it really taught me to give, give, and then give some more and then people will eventually return the favour. Since I started doing that I have quit my retail job, started to travel the full time without paying for accommodation, launched a successful travel website that funds my lifestlye, launched another website, wrote 2 books, worked with multimillion dollar travel related businesses, got engaged and things just work out as long as I stick to this philosophy. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks Gary and keep crushing it!

BEST. DAILYVEE. EVER!! (And I've watched them all)
I knew you worked hard and previous dailyvee showed it already but maaaan, that day was packed! It was great to see so much details of it. And the fact that that you ended it at 5.45pm is even more impressive and show people that they don't necessarily have to work longer hours to do more.
That discussion with James at the end was deep!! And the mentalist was really insane.

I used to have a basketball coach who told me learning is about golden nuggets- Sifting through all the information that goes in one ear and out the other, and finding things with real value. When you answered that question about a life hack for leaders "Every leader should hire one more person to be in their inner circle and help them scale"... That was a golden nugget for me. It's something I hadn't considered but I think can instantly help my business. So simple, but so valuable. Thanks, Gary

The hamster wheel got me - Gary has thought about his end game and accepted if he wants to obtain his end game goal he is on the wheel forever. He is building a company that can out do the competition because he knows he will work harder and longer than his competition. This is the sacrifice he is making to leave a legacy. This was enlightening - I'm changing because of it - Thanks Gary

Loved at 10:33 when Tyler admits "Hey thats my fuck up, on me." and Gary responds with honey, slight bit of vinegar to reemphasize the importance of attention to detail, and then honey at the end with coaching and love. THATS AN HR DRIVEN CEO!! Thats love and mentorship.
Tyler, I know it sounds cliche that you should always tell the truth but its human nature to try and not take the blame for something and even when you are working the calendar of one of the most influencial CEO's it can still be scary but you handled that with character. I love seeing people in a point where its there fault and they just fall on the sword because its the right thing to do. =]

1:15:32 Had been following Garry for a very very long time but this video has slipped and this conversation is something that I came to realize but was never sure if it was true or not about the actual effort and mindset and I know for the fact that I completely understand Gary on almost all aspects and as incredible as it might be, I'm not sure if I'm willing to go there fully. Sometimes i get, not emotional, but a feeling of a responsibility / guilt/ pressure every time Gary goes that deep because I get surprised that someone thinks like that which is exactly how I see it so I know IT IS the truth which excites the shit out of me, but scares me at the same time of the insanity of it. At least for now, looking in the future things might change and they will because as I opened my eyes other people will too. It just is breathtaking to see something like that. The desire to spend time around this man is insane, but cannot be thankful enough for this content as it has changed my life.

Not to mention it delivers more value for someone building a business. Sometimes it's hard to deploy 30 mins of my time to watch a video if it's not delivering value. Should really consider doing all of your Vlogs like this! The other videos are entertaining, but at times seem redundant.

Thank you….I’m listening to your content realizing that I wish that my boss would actually take the time and do these twice a year meetings.
I used to work for a company that actually did these meetings but it was more you had to fill out some complex form with concrete goals to reflect on and to work towards your bonus.
Current setting my boss does not do these twice a year reviews which I think are important to keep you on track he’s only talking do you when things are not going right and not reflecting on the overall..
Also talked about for the Instagram questions about people not hiring enough people I feel that my boss Pride himself on having a lean and mean group and makes fun of others for having so many more people..
Mind you things would run better and people wouldn’t be stretched so thin if you just realize that having just one more person with ease some of the pressure..
I think he thinks two short term and doesn’t think of the long-term..
At that point of retiring but he’s not going to retire and he’s too much of a micromanager he does not allow you to be successful in your own domain…
That is why I’m at a point where I’m on the defense all the time and I’ve just got a pull the Band-Aid and walk away…

Wow, this episode is HUGE. Thanks for the insight into your hustle. Great filming too DRock :)

That was fascinating. Great to get more of a sense of just how much goes on in 1 day. People focus too much on getting up at 4am and going to bed at midnight, not on what they are actually doing with the time they are awake (me included!)...enjoyed this episode.
Maybe this type of episide could be a new thing once a month! :)

I started making videos and taking social media questions after I read Crush It and grew my Real Estate business from 20K to 60K in 2 years which for me was a HUUUGGGEEE deal! I started to implement the Thank You Economy and bumped up to 75K the following year. I am on track to 100K+ this year

I loved this! Great job D Rock and thank you Gary for all of the insights. This 90 min was jam packed. I'm excited to see VaynerTalent develop. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one of those "smaller cities" that you want to open up in is Vegas. Thanks again Gary for sharing your life with the world.

There are plenty DailyVee's that have been mega inspirational but for once I feel like I got a true sense of how much Gary actually makes his day count.

that was 2016, now it's 2019 and you've been at that pace for so long, I really hope that the pace does you good. Soul is not spirit, soul is the drive, a certain amount of energy that you take from the collective soul to do the work here on earth. Seems to me you've got a big extra, and that helps us all. Thank you! I hope you have the right people around you to keep you physically and mentally healthy! I wish you that! Go on, I am curious what is still to come!

Great episode! I will have to watch it again to catch the things that I missed because there was so much value here. My only problem is that if I were to share this on my business Facebook page or my LinkedIn profile, so many of my followers wouldn't be able to get full value from it because DRock and your team forgot to us subtitles or closed captioning.
