Good one, very well explained. One thing stands out in America, which is jobs, that people get after completing education. College system is good here, however, school curriculum is good in india.

Entering a good school district is a big deal.. there are many invisible power structures in play.. which won’t be visible generally.. in any city any state if you see highly ranked school district, there will be very little to no apartments.. if there is some they will be extremely high rent or they will be monopoly. Most of the highly ranked schools will be in affluent neighborhoods. It’s very important to consider while buying property in US. We did lot of research on this 😂

We live in Nashville, TN. Here cutoff would be Aug31st. However, If kids born after August 31st and before September 30th, school district is conducting Kindergarten readiness test for those kids. If kids cleared that test, they will start KG before their 5 years completion Itself. My kid born on September 22nd. So he took that readiness test and cleared. He started his KG before his 5 years completion.

Yes dépend on the state age admission varies ,In Connecticut till Dec 31 st. Lottery system in chartered and Magnet school is good. Church school is too good and we can get sponsors also

My kid is completed 6 years by Aug 31 she was born on 31/8/2016, she completed UKG in India now we came to US ..she cleared the test but after one month due to language issues she has lot of problems n competing the standard so they had put her n kindergarten:( and they say they don't consider online education which we completed in India ..

I am working as a teacher in CT. The school district am working has free meals. They offer free school from Prek3 to 12th grade. Here December is the cut offZ and they have various themes like STEM, STEAM etc.

Schools are not actually free. As Arthi said, they collect taxes from the home owners as property tax and in my case, they collect “school tax” in addition to property tax. The irony is that my son is 26 years old and why am I paying “school tax”? Nobody goes to the school from my home (even my son did not go to school in this area). I am paying for something I never have or had any use of. That is how it works!

In india...11th and 12th are called higher secondary school and 9th and 10th is high school. I am from Kerala and that is how it is structured there.

Most of the time school districts say child must complete 5 years old before aug 1 ..
But it varies school districts, please check the age limit in your school district

There are 2 things needs to be considered here
Point 1 - here 11th and 12th are called junior and senior.. its the important stage since the college preparation will be huge.. nothing to worry much here your child can face it easily and can prepare for the college examinations say SAT..
but as a parents we need to guide them a lot.. yes college is very costly in the USA as per your pay and cost of living you may afford or we can get students loan too.
Point 2 - if the child became more than 21 years they will not be able to stay on h4 have to change into student visa than working visa… if the child is green card holder or citizen no need to worry
We live in Charlotte, NC. The community school/college has good curriculum, which is economical or in some case free costs for courses that gets college credits and can skip a yr of college and save on fees, check the community college nearby, you can get free advise from them
