The description says it all. I like electric cars; all sorts! Especially cars like this, cause they're so unique, because it's Innovation For The Planet; Innovation For All. It's Nissan.
I was watching this show and the bears name is Aggie and has been training for 10 or so years and the dude was the owner and he was cgi (not the bear the guy!)
I think there's a behind the scenes video for this commercial. the bear is trained, like the previous comment said. and her name is Aggie or something. also, it IS edited in the scene where she crosses the bridge at nighttime cuz it's way past her bedtime and she couldn't go shooting with them.
Then the neighbor got a Tesla and the polar bear and his family wash the neighbors car on a weekly basis Where as the leaf owner went into a deep depression because the polar bear doesn’t care about Nissan Leaves anymore
Geez, this is depressing. They sure know how to tug at the heart strings. I’ve always loved the idea of EVs, and I hope to be a Leaf owner one day. Though this ad campaign is depressing, it really does bring good awareness of the importance of the future of the planet. Well done, Nissan!
Nissan does know that it depends on where the electric comes from right. I love my leaf but I get my power from pseg and they burn fossil fuels to make electricity. So I am not helping the environment that much from my leaf.
+DoubleCTech In fact, you are helping it a lot! There's a lot of waste, producing fuel and transporting fuel to fuel stations. Every liter of gasoline you used to put in the car, there was a lot of energy wasted behind it's production and transport. Then there's the low efficiency of the thermal engine which will make the usable energy from this single liter something so expensive to the planet. By burning fuel, the thermal station can still have about 60 to 80% more energy produced from the same liter of fuel. And generally those plants are not far away from the refinery so the fuel is transported by a pipe line. Using an electric car, powered by a fuel generator is still far more energy efficient than the most efficient fuel cars. The most incredible thing is that even with coal (something we really need to ban from Earth), there's still a positive margin with EV vs fuel cars. And by driving electric you also save peoples health around the places you drive. So because you choose electric I want to thank you for your choice ;)
Sherry Huang eh, not really. A common misconception is that people tend to think EVs are powered by just one gigantic battery. In reality, they're made up of several thousand battery cells. If Im correct, the Leaf utilizes pouch cells, the same type of batteries that our cell phones use. Those cells are connected in series/parallel connection to increase voltage and amperage (a good example of this are everyday objects in your life that use batteries. A TV remote may use two batteries, one that goes in upwards and the other pointing downwards. This means the positive and negative terminals are touching, so it doubles the voltage. That is know as a series connection). If one cell goes bad, you still have an entire 1,000+ cells left that are in good shape. Oh and lithium cells can be recycled, whether or be byusing the individual cells in weaker applications like portable phone chargers or completely reusing the rare metals inside the cell for other batteries.
Sherry Huang oh and lithium isn't deadly, in fact it's edible. You know, since lithium comes from salt flats, which is one of the places edible salt can come from. And extracting lithium doesn't harm the environment, nor does it pollute like oil.
So, purchasing one vehicle secures the safety of one polar bear? If I run my Prius around the beltway a few times to improve the average MPG, how many does that save? If I power my Leaf with nuclear for 20 years, how does the spent fuel benefit the planet?

Oh I saw this! Of course it doesn't tell you anything about the car, except it's the "responsible choice." Ah well.
Yeah cause all other car commercials are about its specs
100% Electric!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very good advertisement. But yet, i wonder how did they get a polar bear to film this. Doesnt really look 'edited' tho :/

DoubleCTech right, and electric cars need big batteries, batteries are very very pollute
