If you're dating/ in a relationship with someone, but you find out they were already in another relationship, you're the side thing and you end things with the cheater, you're not the asshole. But IF YOU KNOW they're in a relationship and still pursue them despite knowing, you're an accomplice and an asshole. If the person in the relationship doesn't want to be with their significant other anymore, they should end the relationship instead of cheating. Btw, if you enable cheating behavior, you're an asshole too.

So many women get off on cheating. When I was in my 20s, so many girls cheated on their men when they were at the same party. This happened all the time, and they got going quick and were all soaked right away. When this element wasn't in effect, they were much slower to get started.

I know two men who were prison guards in a female prison. One slept with the women, was eventually caught, and now is in prison himself. The other man worked for almost ten years before he felt the temptation was getting to him so he went to his supervisor and requested a transfer to an all male prison. He served there for another 10 years then retired.
Those two stories were the epitome of listening to your instincts. One gave into their desires, the other shut that shit down. It's rare when you can see the outcome of taking different routes in life, like when you're faced with a choice and you're trying to decide which path you're going to take. I worked in a male prison because the female prisons are all about psychological manipulation. Mad props to the second man in your story. The best way to not give into temptaion is to remove yourself from the situation.

I've never cheated on anyone or anything like that but the last guy I was with had a gf. He massively downplayed the relationship. As a female,in Louisiana, I was able to work in ALL areas of our state men's prison. Males were not allowed to work in living quarters at our female state prison because ladies were getting pregnant. By them impregnating an offender,that offender could turn around and sue the state because they are considered 'Wards of the State',just like foster children!

My brother was a guard in a prison. He had to work in the Women's prison one day because they were short staffed. He said he would quit before he would do it again. He said the women were AGGRESSIVE and would try to do anything to get the mail guards to have sex with them. He was shocked at some of the things he saw.

My dad was a pretty high level drug dealer when I was young, I'm only talking about this because he went to jail and served his time. After he got out of jail he was INTENSE about keeping his kids away from drugs. He would show us crackheads tweaking out on the streets and was very honest about the fact that drugs felt good while you were doing them but would fuck your life up in the long run. He also kicked the shit out of my older stepbrother for dabbling and would monitor all my friends for drug use, making sure I didn't fall in with the wrong crowd. None of us ever got into drugs because he was so hard core about it. I knew from a young age that I never wanted to get involved in that lifestyle because drug users don't belong to themselves after they're addicted, they belong to the drug or to whoever can get them their next fix. So from his example I'd say the trick is to make sure your fictional daughter is never exposed to a glamorized fiction of drugs in the first place and knows how badly drugs can fuck someone up before they ever get old enough to try them.
Amen for your dad! He really used that wisdom to guide you and your siblings/friends. Your story really moved me.
