Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.
One day, a talented and powerfu general named Ling Bu Yi comes to the town - and falls in love with her at first sight. He resolves to marry her, even though it will cause him no end of problems if he decides to pursue this union. She also warns him that she doesn’t trust him, and that her stubborn personality might not be suitable for the wife of a general. But Ling Bu Yi also has deep secrets, and there are facts about his true identity that even he does not know. That was hilarious 🤣 when Leo said “how could I let the horse go crazy? I’m in control the whole time” 🤣🤣🤣 I remember that watching that scene as well and thinking “wow she’s really good at acting scared on that horse” no, she was genuinely terrified and thought she was going to die 🥲🤣🤣
She wasn't a cry baby, she was genuinely frightened, which got great footage by mistake. ha I love her and I will love this drama with these two. I also love the Leo is really riding the horse. So many riding scenes are extras or fake horses.
He looks so comfortable on that horse, so cool

Leo Wu is an excellent rider. Chances are the horse could tell she was scared, so good on Mr. Wu for keeping good control. Very well-trained horse, notice the horse was perfectly calm when they stopped, a sign the horse was very comfortable even with her being really scared. Very impressive.
Not excellent rider at all. Excellent riders don’t abuse horses when they ride. You can often see the horse neck bending almost backwards, with head held high and mouth opened. He is pulling hard on the reins. Excellent riders ride with seating. That’s where you control horses spead. Not by pulling on reins So hard that you almost dislocate horses jaw. Very insensitive towards the horse 😕 Plus all that kicking into ribs, when giving the aide to move? Just with good rider, not even excellent, you should not even noticed the forward aid is being given 😡 I suggest you watch some dressage competition videos to see, what excellent rider really looks like. He is not even good. He is an actor, who managed to stay atop of the horse. That black mare he is ridding in the show is such beautiful gentle creature. Even though she is being So horribly abused by everyone who rides her, she still does her job. Be it my horse, all these people would be on the ground within a minute of trying one of the above.😂

And the horse is very nice and everything, because she already is completely broken inside! They (the staff ...) don't give them (the horses) the chance to show that their hurt! So yeah, that makes me very angry!
BUT, I hope you also know how much horses are mistreated on these idiotic dressage competitions! Its horrible! Of course, not every rider does it, but in general at least 70%, especially on the higher competitions!

El en todo momento cuida tanto a Lusi como al caballo, yo soy jinete entrenado y puedo decirte efectivamente qué acá no hay ningún daño al animalito, aparte que ahora en China el daño a los animales es muy penado por la ley!, también hay un detalle muy muy importante, tu crees que si le hicieran daño podría salir el dorama al aire? Los fans se irían en picada, creeme que ya cancelaron a dos doramas antes de salir al aire siquiera por este motivo!! Muy merecido se lo tenían en todo caso, hubo acusaciones y denuncias anónimas, y fue tal el alboroto qué se formó qué tuvieron que cancelar los doramas. Por eso lo digo, acá no hay maltrato hacia la yegua, Leo es un alma gentil y noble, el jamás le haría daño a nadie.

@@starless459 Hi, episode 9, around the 20 minute mark. In the released episode, they sped it up, but if at normal speed, they tortured her for ages. Male lead HAD to have known she was terrified. I think they were nasty and cruel and unkind to do that. If the victim isn't laughing while it's happening, it's NOT a joke.
I watched this scene in the series and thought she was acting, that's why her acting career is shining so bright so many dramas in just months😂🤗

Zhao Lusi is one of my favourite actresses. Not only is she beautiful, she portrays her characters so well and her comedic timing is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing other dramas with her as the female lead. I felt so sorry for her watching this short clip the poor girl was really upset and no one seems concerned.
...the poor girl was really upset? And whose fault was that? Maybe she should have done her job and paid attention to the production team. They rolled the camera for them to start acting. Her co-star heard them. Why didn't she? I feel more sorry for Wu Lei who received her two-year-old tantrum when it wasn't even his fault.

This is a wonderful series wish Wu lei had more screen time though! Best scene was the fighting scene when he snucked in and invaded his enemy in the mandarin duck wings armour - and his warmth side towards his two close guards

The fact that the director couldn't help but be kinda happy because the scene came out great had me dying. You can tell he was about to compliment her so much but then he had to stop cause he found out she wasn't acting. The face he makes while he has the thumbs up makes me laugh every time

Right...having a tantrum thrown at you, getting accused of intentionally starting the horse to scare her, and getting scolded as "crazy" and "annoying" when you were the one actually paying attention and doing your job sure must be fun! All of that was edited out, but it's what truly happened. No thanks 😑

I may not agree with what the Chinese government does, but those dramas are the bomb, I love a lot of the Chinese dramas that came out in recent years my top 10 favs at the moment are The Legends, Fuhao, The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, The Song of Glory, The Rebel Princess, General and I, The Sword and the Brocade, The Story of Ming Lan, Oh my General, and General's Lady. I can say with certainty this drama has got my full attention right now though, can't wait for the next round of episodes.

@@johnblessing6446 I have and while it is on my list of top 20 CDramas the reason it was not in my top 10 was preference. Now if i were to include KDramas then some of those Cdramas on my top 10 would drop down even further as Mr. Queen would be at the top for me.

@@marleenmolenaar9151 I have been way back when it first released so I don't remember all of it, but if im being honest Love like the Galaxy so far, is one of Zhao Lu Si's best dramas so far. Although these didn't make my top 10 for my list i also recommend My Heroic Husband, The Imperial Doctress, Jun Jui Ling, Twisted Fate of Love, Legend of Hao Lan, Court Lady, and Weaving a Tale of Love. Let me know if you would like any more recommendations.
Leo Wu very gallant and gentleman, we notice in each drama. You cannot hide one's innate character though he is an actor🥰🥰😍😍😍😍🤭🤭👍👍👍Zhao lusi, no one can stop her from reaching top. Very good in comic, emotional scene.

Director (& probably Leo too) they knew! Lol they knew how scared she was, so the only way to pull off the scene, was for her to be herself, naturally 🤣.
That's why everyone was so quiet and they said "Action" quietly so she doesn't hear it hahaha.
If they would of told her what they wanted the horse to do, gallop so fast, she would of been too scared lol.
Many directors do this, they feel they have no choice lol. In order to get the most realistic screaming action on film, no choice but to trick the actress.
She is just so awesome, such a good sport, good person. Other actresses have been known to storm off sets.
Also she never picks a bad script. Wherever she is, we there.

I love how she was so genuine and humble in this cause if a person is a diva they would start acting out in a moment like this with anger, but she was just genuinely scared and afterwards genuinely finding it funny that it’s so wholesome ❤
Funny you should say that...'cos she _was_ angry. All of that was edited out in this video, but you can see it in another video. She accused LeiLei of doing it intentionally, called him crazy and annoying, then tried to slap his arm when he initially tried to assist her. She didn't believe him when he first tried to explain that he started the horse because the production team already rolled the camera. When they confirmed what he said(shown here), she finally calmed down. We never saw an apology from her to him, of course, though it was her own fault for not paying attention to the production crew. If she was able to throw a tantrum at someone without trying to understand what happened, I hope she was also able to apologize to that person for how she treated them. I'm personally not impressed at all by her behavior.

I'm a responsible person who would never want to make another co-worker look bad like that so I would own up to not having been ready. Unfortunately, Lusi is an unprofessional and irresponsible human being. You want to talk about how he needed to understand Lusi but you're refusing to be in his shoes. LeiLei is a professional film star with a reputation he has to uphold so that others will want to work with him in the future. Lusi's behaviors caused him to look bad, as if he's a reckless actor, when it was, in fact, Lusi's own fault for not being ready to do her job when action was called. Lusi didn't want to look bad herself so she put it on LeiLei to look bad. She humiliated him...and then her stupid fanbase even demanded and attacked LeiLei for not defending her when she was criticized for treating a coworker so poorly. Maybe LeiLei will choose to never collaborate with her again, or to even ignore/avoid her and her fanbase, and that would be perfectly fitting.

If she apologizes only in private, then it is as I said: she doesn't want to have to be the one to look bad for not being ready to do her job or to own up to her mistakes. Perhaps it was the sudden speed and the size of the horse....who knows.......Zhao Lusi and Wu Leo are excellent actors and he appears to be excellent with horses. Beautiful horse but I would be frightened also if I wasn't prepared for the horse to suddenly run forward at a high speed. I'm sure the director and Wu, Leo will be sure she is very much aware of what is happening in the future prior to doing anything on the horse as well as making sure she feels secure on the horse prior to any high speed takes. Wu, Leo and the director handled her fear very well assuring her everything was always very much under control and letting her know they weren't aware she didn't hear the director call out "action."
I remember watching this scene & replaying it a dozen times and thinking 'wooawh, she REALLY is scared'😮🙊 I've ridden horses and have seen that same panicked wide mouth, flushed cheeks look and have even heard that same scream AND crying reaction in both kids & adults being taught the first time! I really felt for her, but at the same time, I was glad the director left it in. Now I know I was right! ❤😂👏
Good on Leo (whose been riding for years thanks to his other shows/movies) for staying in character. The whole time he's just thinking 'man, she's good'🤦🏾♀️🤣
