I have no idea who this lady is, but she is talking nonsense. If you are afraid of something bad hapening in a moment of absolute hapiness, you are just insecure and anxius person and you need treatment. It is NOT NORMAL.
This lady is a world-renowned and highly regarded and respected author and PhD who studies shame and other emotions and their effect on our lives. She's not talking nonsense. A lot of people have fear/anxiety when things are going too well because they grew up in unpredictable families where they never knew when it was going to flip from happy to violent or happy to outbursts (or happy to whatever) in the space of a blink. I grew up in one of those homes, so yes, I'm always waiting for the next shoe to drop. It doesn't make me not normal. It makes me normal. And I suspect there's something of your own inside for you to look at or you wouldn't have been so triggered by her...
