  • BLACKPINK's Jennie recently sparked major controversy after being seen vaping indoors.
The incident began from a vlog she posted on her RUclips channel, where she appeared to be vaping while getting her hair and makeup done.
The most contentious part was when she blew smoke towards a staff member's face.
As soon as the video was released, it drew heavy criticism on online communities and social media.
Some netizens condemned Jennie's behavior as "rude," highlighting that not only was vaping indoors problematic, but directing smoke at someone was especially inappropriate.
The controversy escalated to the point where a netizen filed a complaint with the Italian Embassy, requesting an investigation into Jennie's indoor vaping.
In response to the growing backlash, Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, issued an official apology.
The agency stated, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who was uncomfortable with Jennie's behavior," and revealed that Jennie had personally apologized to the staff member involved.
Jennie also expressed remorse for her actions and promised to show a more mature and considerate image in the future.
This incident has significantly damaged Jennie's image, leading to disappointment among fans and the public.
Jennie has vowed to reflect on her behavior and strive to present a better version of herself moving forward.
