  • Shown in this video:
    Silencerco Omega 300 suppressor (SU2281)
    Mounts:
    Dead Air Key-Mo Mount (DA428)
    Silencerco Bravo 5/8" x 24 Direct Thread Mount (AC669)
    End caps:
    Silencerco Bravo .30 Cal Anchor Brake (AC2022)
    Silencerco Bravo .30 Cal Front Cap (AC1340)
    And also the Bravo spanner tool & multi tool.
    Everything listed above came with the suppressor, except the front cap, which I bought from the Silencerco store, and the Dead Air mount, which I picked up from a friend. It also came with the Silencerco ASR mount and one ASR muzzle brake. I sold both of those to switch over to the Dead Air mount & brakes.
    Made this for a friend who's looking to get his first suppressor. Told him to check out the Dead Air Sandman lineup also.

    Unfortunately I have the silencer co asr mount and 3 breaks already but I wish I went with the dead air and Rearden mounts I think the front longer break is supposed to be for flash suppression is what I’ve seen

    • @jreaglefan1990
      @jreaglefan1990  Год назад

      No worries, that's still a solid setup. Only concern I've really heard if you shoot a whole lot without ever taking the suppressor off, when you do go to take it off the mount can get carbon locked and be difficult to remove. I think they updated the design in recent years though.

    Which keymo mount. The ‘S’ or the hub adapter. I like this mounting option better than the Silencer Co one.

    • @jreaglefan1990
      @jreaglefan1990  7 месяцев назад +1

      This is a hub compatible mount. I believe the specific model number is DA428

    • @jreaglefan1990
      @jreaglefan1990  7 месяцев назад +1

      It has the 1.375" x 24 thread pattern, which is the standard Hub pattern.

    Mine is in atf jail at them moment. Considering the endcap. Any difference you noticed other than making it shorter? I figured it may make it a tad bit quieter?

    • @jreaglefan1990
      @jreaglefan1990  2 месяца назад +1

      I think length is really the only benefit. Can't say it noticably affected the decibels, at least as the shooter. But it could be quieter for the people around you, since the brake endcap redirects the gas to the sides. But I can't say I noticed it. If you're using it on a .223, you may benefit from using the endcap made for .223, it has a tighter exit hole, so that would keep gases in just a tiny bit longer. But I only have the .30 cal endcap myself.

    What is the overall length and weight with the Keymo and the endcap in the start of the video?

    • @jreaglefan1990
      @jreaglefan1990  Год назад +1

      It's a little dirty so it might weigh a bit more than new, but:
      17.3 oz. with keymo and flat end cap
      17.4 oz. with keymo and titanium muzzle brake end cap
      14.7 oz. with direct thread mount and flat end cap
      14.8 oz. with direct thread mount and titanium muzzle brake.
      Hmmm, I thought the steel end cap weighed more than the titanium muzzle brake, but they are virtually the same. Assuming this scale is accurate. Lol

      @@jreaglefan1990 keymo is a porker for sure. I Was thinking of taking advantage of their BOGO but their velos is never in stock. I went with a Polonium K instead but thanks for all the info. You can never really tell in videos how long suppressors are!

    Why do you say the silencerco quick detach system isn't too good? I haven't shot mine yet

    • @jreaglefan1990
      @jreaglefan1990  2 месяца назад +1

      What I've heard is that the locking collar can get carbon locked and near impossible to move to the unlocked position. Also, some guys apparently are cross threading the can onto the mount, causing misalignment and then baffle strikes. All of this could be chalked up to user error though. I have very little experience with the ASR mount, I just heard people preferred the Dead Air and went that route. But many people are perfectly happy with the ASR too!

      @roguespriest it's not bad at all. With this can, I can't say I've noticed much of the first round being louder on any cartridge I've shot through it. I'm thinking that's more of a rimfire thing, I for sure have noticed a first round pop shooting .22lr through my Quietbore can.
