I’ve always had a milk allergy, so I’ve been drinking soy milk sense I was a child. I just recently wondered what the process was like. Very interesting indeed
Look at all the shit they add to it. All processed. Then they have to constantly have to keep mixing it to avoid the different ingredients going into suspension. Wow. Very natural.
Heating and boiling: The ground soybean paste is mixed with water and heated to a specific temperature. This helps eliminate any undesirable flavors and odors and ensures the soy milk is safe for consumption.
I just made my first batch of soy milk this evening. It’s tasty, but it’s not quite as good as the stuff that I usually buy from the store. I’m here to what the companies add to make the store-bought stuff so good, but my recipe appears to have the same ingredients. So now I just need to figure out the correct proportions and procedure.
If it has that soy odor, it's possibly because you soaked the soy in non-hot water before grinding. Cold and warm water allows the enzymes in the soy to work and degrade the fats, so in this factory they only expose the soy to boiling hot water to instantly kill the enzymes. If your grinding appliance is unable to handle hard dry soy, blanching should also work to soften the beans while killing the enzymes. Just make sure to put the beans in after the water got hot.
There has to be some sort of secret ingredient, maybe a natural flavor, but I agree, it tastes way better than everything else, especially their unsweetened version
Funny thing is my baby he's 2 ...he's allergic to milk products an he can only drink soy an lasco soy is the best so far for him so I came to see how it's made😅
That's what they want you to think in order to make people believe it's nutritious like milk. It's about 95% water. Ever tried milking a soybean. They get pretty angry.😂😂
Refined sugar is not per se unhealthy and, most importantly, not unhealthier than other sugars. The sugar improves taste, color and maybe also texture.
The use of the soybean byproducts to make feeds that are fed to livestock including cattle contributes to the same problem of gas emissions that the livestock industry is blamed for

Try to get no sugar soy milk if you want real health benefits. It’s hard to take at first but you acquire a taste for it. Look in Asian grocery stores - I prefer Asian brand soy milk. It’s definitely a different taste. I feel like soy milk in America and Canada is catered to North American tastes (sugar, vanilla, etc) to give it that creamy/dairy tastes. real soy milk by itself is almost watery. Like I said, it’s rough at first but now that’s what I prefer.

I know that the micro organizims get killed off by the heat but, doesn't that also kill off the nutrients as well? 😐 By the way I subscribed and liked this video.
You can't "kill" nutrients, they're not alive. Nutrients is a very wide term, some are not at all heat sensitive others are so very much. The heating method in the video uses steam and small volumes of product which means that they are heated to high temperatures for a very short time and cooled instantly after. This method is very gentle to nutrients and while a certain percentage of the heat sensitive ones will be destroyed, the product will still be nutritious.
Yes, some organic materials will be degraded by this method… losing nutrition is not what needs your attention because of this method of sterilizing… it’s the creation of unhealthy material. Trans fats are created by this method of killing off microorganisms…
it was all good until they added the sugar and drugs. nooooo.... leave it natural if i want vitamins ill just take vitamin pills not this. fuck why is druging food such a thing? :\
