    Peanut butter was always expensive in my country, so we never bought it. Since I never even saw it, I actually thought that it's equal to Nutella, and peanut butter is just how it's called in America. I think I was eather 19 or 20 years old when I first tasted real peanut butter. My first thought was:
    Hmmm, this is really a... buttery peanut mixture.
    I fully got it then, why is it called peanut butter. Ever since then, mum started to buy it, and I officially fell in love with it.
    Especially with jam. I also understand now why is the jelly-peanut butter sandwich is so popular in America. 😋

    what a fascinating look at how peanut butter is made! it's always amazing to see the process behind our favorite foods. that said, i can't help but feel like the crunchy vs. smooth debate is a bit overrated. i mean, shouldn't we just enjoy both for what they bring to the table?

      Most peanut butter uses palm oil which is usually hydrogenated so in general it's best to avoid it! Our understanding of fats and oils influence on our health (and sugars!) Changed a lot over the last few decades and a lot of how it's made is 10+ years old at this point. No idea how old this particular video is though !

    • @tylerrose4416
      @tylerrose4416 2 года назад +11

      @@AurforeRhodontis No, they don’t use hydrogenated palm oil. read the label, it will say if it has hydrogenated oil. Palm oil by nature is about 50% saturated, so it is really common in shelf stable products.
      Here in America, if it is under .5g of trans fat per serving, it is technically allowed. Manufacturers get around the “ban” by mixing hydrogenated oil with regular oil. It’s sus, but you can see it pretty clearly in the ingredeints

      Usually the machine were not made for that specific purpose. Example the peanut roaster they are using was initially designed to dry gun powder.
