I couldn't get to sleep last night, so decided I should watch this video. So glad that I did ... relaxing, just perfect! I stamp words on the edges of book pages...the aged ones always tone in well. Enjoyed the video and tfs.
Thank you Rachel for another lovely friendly video. Love watching you craft, everything seems to just end up right. Your voice too, is so restful and so watching you has become one of my fav things to do in the early morning. makes me feel calm and ready for the day. Thank you for always being so willing to share your talents with us. You give us all a lot of inspiration and I am off now to do some journalling cards, pockets etc. Blessings and hugs from Cape Town. Diana
I sincerely almost fell off the sofa when you flipped over the first collage. OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! I went directly to Etsy to see what I missed!!! All in my cart ready to get in the morning. My card was compromised so I need to re- enter the new one too lazy to get up. - no joke I left in the middle of you talking like it was going to be the last one. 🤦♀️they are printables. Just GORGEOUS. Rachel. Thanks for sharing such amazing artistic talent🦋
Very pretty and you are so pleasant to listen to. With you and Tina I question whether I watch you two for the crafting more or your personalities. Thank you for giving your time and talent. Vicki
Such pretty pieces, Rach! Always love these kind of videos! You could do nothing else and I’d be perfectly happy, so never worry that you’ve done them before. Every piece turns out differently. Love them all! ❤️
Boy, making those master board collages (or whatever you call them) is the way to go! Those all turned out great...I’m in love with the parrot so I went and picked up your fussy cut birds!😝🥰. I’ll have to plan a nature themed journal. Hugs, ❤️
Lots of pretty bits and bobs! I love the last one you made, the colors were gorgeous 😍 you made me laugh when you described how terrible you are with squishing the glue... I can hardly wait you see your next slow stitching tag... this week is layers... definitely one of your strongest talents!
Rachel, I love that you said, “I’m the boss ”, I say that all the time in jest with my friends but I add, “I’m the boss of myself and you can’t make me”. Lol Love the tags, pockets and journal cards you are creating. I am not able to craft now, since we will be moving at some time or another. We have been waiting since last August for our house due to “you know what” everything has been delayed and also a material shortage. I had packed up my craft room, since they gave us a closing date, but that is now pushed back again. I will eventually move, but until then I will be watching you create your beautiful pieces, you are my favorite crafter and I don’t miss a single video. I wish they had smell vision, lol, missing all those craft smells. Take care and stay safe. Hugs. Theresa
Nothing like catering to that label-loving girl Sherrie !!! It occurred to me as I watched that just like Cher and Bono and Elvis, you are the queen of collage with just your one name: Rachel. Those background pages are "gorge" is what the kids around here are saying now -- "Oh, it's totally Gorge" But seriously, this is what makes you so unique -- Well, "obs" I would have never thought of making masterboards, but that's a given, but I also never would have chosen that last bird to put on a card, but you would -- and did -- and it looks perfect against that gorgeous blue-tone paper with the simple label under it. You have that magic touch, as do so so many other crafters here with their own unique style, and I'm so glad you own it. And lastly (we can all hope, anyway, that this is the end), you have saved my life again with paper crafting, a debt I can never repay -- ever. A high-pressure system moved in last night bringing with it a beautiful, gentle rain, which under other circumstances I would delight in, but my RA is flaring, my entire body aches, and I said to myself: well, you can go to bed and lie there and look up at the ceiling moaning and complaining to no one in particular -- or -- you can make your lunch, take your meds, prop yourself up in bed with your legs elevated, turn on youtube and have lunch with Rachel and then craft along -- the choice is yours. I chose option B, and am I glad I did. Last night I printed out your this year's Easter tags -- they're so pretty -- that pretty paper is on a couple of them, so I cut those out and printed out a couple on heavier card stock, which I made into a postcard, which I will put in tomorrow's mail : )
Love these. I am having so much fun with the beautiful backgrounds and making Easter cards. I was so excited to post them that I forgot to send a picture.
Still faffing(?) about. You know it’s bad when I’m paper clipping the fussy cut onto the card- just in case. Really fun crafting along with you today. Tuesday.😆
Hello Rachel! They all turned out fabulous, I enjoyed your process and love that element of surprise. I'm going to starting walking again when the weather get warmer, looking forward to the fresh air. I'm in upstate New York and its been raining but they are saying we are getting 4 inches next week. Ug! Hope you having a good week so far, take care! Celeste
The baskets are fabulous. I've kept two for myself and now I'm up to my 13th one. 3 Christmas gifts 19 & 20 the rest were orders. Love them. I get 4 from "jelly rolls split in half ..
These are so pretty and spring time looking. Love the soft colored backs instead of tea or coffee dyed paper. I purchased your pretty background papers and love them. They printed out so vibrant on my HP using 24# bright white paper. Can’t wait to use them in a journal.
About those baskets ... Rachel's directions are perfect, because ... I made three of them, and they all came out wonderful. And if I can do it, anybody can do it following her directions. I'd make more, but I'm too lazy to wrap the rope -- ha -- I made my son one and used his "dragon" shift from like 8th grade that he outgrew but still loved. It was navy blue with two panels on the front with orange dragons, so I used the navy and other red colors from other fabrics, and it came out great -- now, the easiest part is the sewing -- but -- if you don't have a sewing machine (seriously, skip the Starbucks and start saving up; you do not need to know how to sew clothes, etc. to be able to use a sewing machine. I have a Brother, the bobbin loads itself, it is my most treasured possession) -- none of it is hard to do, but wrapping the rope is time consuming, but worth it. If you don't have a sewing machine, ask someone who does to sew it for you -- one thing I learned from mine is, I liked using the dark brown thread to join the rows better than the white thread; it gives it a contrast. Also she pinned her fabric, which I'm the world's worse pinner and after sticking myself 10 times, I just started to use a dot of Aileen's tacky glue, my fav glue to use -- after you get the rope covered, it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to sew it. You want to make sure you use a wide zigzag stitch -- and you know what, just like Rachel says, the world didn't end because I missed a few places and discovered a couple months later, I just went back to the machine and sewed that area, and one small area I just used Fabri Tac on. But a word of caution: it is addictive, they come out so so so cute -- I also used two different types of rope. One was a stronger one I got from Amazon, and the other was clothesline or softer rope I got from the Family Dollar -- both worked, but I like the stiffer one more -- oh, if you don't have a sewing machine, you can hot glue it, and then later you could hand sew and just baste the rows -- I have both fabric tac and the beacons 3 in 1 glue, but I don't know if they would be as strong as hot glue except for spot gluing. They would make adorable little Easter Baskets - especially if you used the fabric from past year's Easter clothes that no longer fit -- uh-dorable !! You will not regret making it one bit !!!
Beautiful tags & pockets. Oh I am so ready for Spring. I think this last summer was a loss due to the unmentionable so I am really ready for some outside weather. I got a camper recently & want to do as many outside activities as we can.
Rachel, these collage pages with book pages as the base - would this be a good use for the really brittle pages? Because I would love a good use for those.
Now what book are those flowers ftom? They're really nice. So, I made the basket and was SO pleased with it, I ran out and bought 2 more packs of cording. Theyll make grest gifts! Thanks so much!!
I got a fit bit and never could figure out how to use it. It’s still sitting in my desk drawer. I need a techie around. I think I need WiFi to use it but Steve won’t get it. I am stuck in the 1950s
Those are lovely. You always seem to combine just the right colors and images....good eye! What kit are those flowers from, they're just what I need right now? Thanks!!
Oh you fibber. Lol. You know I have steam coming out of my ears and my head is spinning right now. 😜😩. I think I used a label once and I was in bed for a day due to shock.
I can tell you that you have been here long enough to use to many labels. Can you tell my mood. You are only being fussy to torment me. I’m so laughing as I type.
I couldn't get to sleep last night, so decided I should watch this video. So glad that I did ... relaxing, just perfect!

Oh like that yellow scrap for the back.
Me too!
Rachel, these collage pages with book pages as the base - would this be a good use for the really brittle pages? Because I would love a good use for those.
Yes they would be perfect as the pieces you glue on top would reinforce them.
Loved it. Thanks once again 🌸
Thank you so much!
Pretty as always Rachel 😊.

Do you have a tutorial on how to make that cute little ephemera booklet which held your labels?
I didn't make it, it was gifted to me.
Those were beautiful!! Funny how some days just seem to go together nicely without too much fuss isn't it?!!
Thank you so much!
Very nice emphmera🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much!
Those are lovely. You always seem to combine just the right colors and images....good eye! What kit are those flowers from, they're just what I need right now? Thanks!!

I love your work. What kind of paper do you print all your fussy cuts and back grounds on?
I usually print on regular paer or 120gsm paper. Thank you so much!
Beautiful 🌷

Chocking from using that label. I told you they were dangerous!!!
Just curious... Do you just pick your labels for their size and/or is it important what the label says? These are gorgeous! 🤗💕🦋
I usually choose them for their colour, shape and then font (handwritten or not) . I don't really read what's on them. Thank you so much!
@@roxycreations679 Thanks for the insight. It will definitely make my life easier! 🤗💕🦋
Boy can you cut❣️
Hi Roxy, I have been following you for a while now and really love your style. Where are you in Australia? I live in Perth.
I'm from Sydney but live in Italy. Thank you so much!
@@roxycreations679 love Italy.....
What brand is the punch that you use for tabs?
I'm not sure what it is but they don't make it anymore.
@@roxycreations679 - thank you

Thank you so much!
One year ago you were doing this exact same thing collating papers making tags and journaling cards. Part 1. How about that. Déjà vu
using books insted of paper
Oh you fibber. Lol. You know I have steam coming out of my ears and my head is spinning right now. 😜😩. I think I used a label once and I was in bed for a day due to shock.
That is pretty now don’t stick anything on it you know what I mean.
I can tell you that you have been here long enough to use to many labels. Can you tell my mood. You are only being fussy to torment me. I’m so laughing as I type.
