The Making of Doll - Kitsune Nine Tails Fox 九尾狐

Hi everyone, I am Vanessa, a self taught designer from Malaysia, mainly using fashion industry leftover or scraps to create my creativity projects.
Creating my first OOAK doll inspired by Japanese and Korean folklore was a three-month journey. The intricate design incorporates upcycled materials like fabric and artificial fur scraps. The most challenging aspect was crafting the unique hair. Notably, the doll features two types of natural stones, south red agate, and garnet, discovered in a thrift store. The blend of folklore inspiration and sustainable materials adds depth to this meaningful project.
