I have some kind of mitochondrial myopathy, very similar to symptoms of ME (actually I was diagnosed for a while with ME). I have been keto carnivore for about 6 years and it helped improve my symptoms a lot specially brain fog. When I started keto I stopped taking Dribose and didn’t seem to make a difference. Although Im not 100% sure since it was quite a change when I went keto. But I am trying it again because why not? So all this to say thank you for sharing your experience with DRibose.
@@StephanieSaintRemy I think it’s great that you try keto. But I would advise you to up your protein intake. Specially animal protein. That makes a huge difference. Go to a channel called Maria Emmerich she has a bunch of keto high protein foods, I eat her egg white bread every day (sounds gross but it isn’t haha). Keto is not supposed to be that hard (unless you are doing therapeutic keto). :) Don’t worry about percentages. Eat animal protein, put some fat (increase with time specially if you begin losing weight like crazy) and add some low carb vegetables if you want like pumpkin, asparagus, carrots etc. I would also suggest that you check Indigo Nili’s experience with L-Reuteri yogurt, it’s delicious and very good for your flora. She shows how to do it. Sorry to fill you with a bunch of unrequested advices. But if you think they might be helpful and have any doubts, feel free to ask me. :)
I have seen a lot more cases of ME in Western societies although I have seen a few cases in my home country as well. Do you think it might have to do with geographic location or diet?
I am no expert but I would guess there’s a number of possibilities. 1. Lack of diagnoses as opposed to less common, 2. The burn out culture, I have family world wide and though all work hard, the western ones tend not to take down time but the others will take the non working time to rest not constantly on the go. Would be interesting to know more one day.
Anyone watching this video to learn about ME to support someone you know who has it, thank you! ❤

Ooh I tried carnivore once. I’m currently thinking of trying keto but I’m rubbish at food planning. You have inspired me to give it a go. 🧡
