that milkshake looked elite i need to go there, the group of guys behind you knew that rambo mike was around and didnt want to mess with you
Aw thanks brother. Too much negativity in the world, don't get me wrong if something is shite I'd vlog it but try and give it a positive spin
I live in Newport, but I used to live in London. Pill is absolutely lovely and safe compared to the dumps I lived in in London.
I can only Imagine some parts of London being crazy, nothing compared to Pill. Like you said, it has a bad name but it's amazing down there. I want to do a pill at night vlog, see how dangerous it is
Hell yeah brother! Thanks for the tour of area I’ve never seen before! Loved that old army truck 🤜🏼
Thank you mate, Pill is apparently one of the worse places in Wales, I think its awesone. Might be different at night but we'll see about that when I make at night lol
I grew up in Capel Crescent in the 80s. The place was like a bomb site, but the people are the best in the world ❤
Aw man, I feel the community is still strong just these days everyone is on edge. People think everyone is against them all the time and causes trouble.
Nice one spud ❤
Thank you very much xxx
Really enjoyed that mooch around Pull .cheers .
Cheers mate, I felt I didn't really do it justice last time as some people have vlogged her and said only bad things
Spent the summer of 2000 doing up a house in St Stephens road in Pill, never had a problem there, people were fine and friendly, used to go for a pint in the west of england pub and the Pill harriers rugby club, good places.
@user-rr6kz8vu3i Pill has a strong and amazing history. Very important for Newport, I played against Pill when I used to play for Rumney years ago haha that was good memories. I remember going down the slide and landing in the lake under it

Thank you David, so much to see and do in Pill. I'd love to go down there st night see what's happening
Not me talking to my computer screen telling you where to go because I grew up in Pill and my mam still lives there hahaha
@abijarvis1785 haha If I missed something please let me know. I need to know I'm doing it justice haha. I love Pill, it has loads of different communities just wish I knew my way lol
@@Spudboys Well if you carried on down past the allotments there is Pill park... last time I walked through there, there was a burnt out car but it was a bit nicer when I was a kid. Although the council got rid of the big slide which was devastating!!! You just missed the house I grew up in when you walked down from the waterloo and went by the industrial state but me and my friends used to play curby around the block by there as it was a quieter road compared to Alexandra road... Loads of birthday parties and wedding receptions in the West of England too, it was a brill pub, sad to see it's not open anymore.. ahh the memories man, thank you!! I don't go there often, especially not for a walk around.. It's not changed a lot since I left 11 years ago when I was 16... it's got a tad more anti-social but the good bits of the community still outweigh the bad I think :)
An old police station from when they used to do...policing!! Rougher than I remember. I used to go there on YTS, (Youth Training Scheme) . Governments way of taking people off the dole figures by putting 16-18 year olds on courses which had no merit after they done away with proper apprenticeships. A few years ago they started apprenticeships back up again, but these days there isn't much trade to get into like there was.
Mill parade back then would turn into a cobbled street towards the end and turn directly onto the transport bridge. The river used to be lined with cars just dumped in the mud.
Opposite the gents toilets on the side you was standing, used to be the dry dock. I remember large decent sized boats and vessels being in there for repair, they then filled it in and there was scrap yards all the way down that road.
There also were the level crossings (exactly where the paintings were), and the odd octopus bridge which had four roads coming off the one bridge (hence it's name) also remnants of the canal ran underneath. Long gone!
I don't recognise most of those streets, so much has changed. That old pub which is no longer there, I had a few pints in.
Hard not to think of the pissy toilet seat you were touching before chomping on the samosa!! 😂 All the best.
The third photo is on the corner of Commercial and George Street, Alma Inn is still there.
Wow, I probably walked straight past it like I always do haha
Very different now to when i was born down there
What was it like when you lived her mate? Would be interesting to know
Any news about the anniversary?
I might just do a live special mate
Are pill samosas better than the ones you had from Lliswerry???
Haha there is a very fine line here that I don't want to cross. They are from the same family so they taste the same? Lol but yes, I think they were a little bit better
By comparison Pill in Bristol where I live isn’t so bad!
@@TheCounty90 haha I'll come and make a vlog on it mate haha
Can tell you some stories about the old police station, after it was closed down it was repurposed as a venue callled the clink, a interesting venue repurposing the cells to fetish rooms and dungeons and swingers areas 😂 all sorts or characters frequented the place not me though I was just told by a friend honest
Haha I want to go and make a vlog there haha is it still around you know? Asking for a friend lol
What is that samosas shop called
You know what mate, I'm not sure. I'll check on googlemaps and let you know
@@Spudboys legend

@jordanwilliams4267 I love that idea mate, only problem is I don't drive so it's hard for me to get to all those hard to reach places but I love the idea man
Where is everyone
In work? It was fairly quiet down there
Alway and Somerton and maples
You want me to vlog those areas?
Mikey!
Mikey boyo!!! How are you matey
Where you not offered business while in the area ..
Nope, I was only there for the Samoas lol
Need to have words with whoever says pill is dangerous it's tame lmao
Well, I've only heard stories of Pill but I love it. Filled with an amazing community and packed with amazing shops and stuff. The nest Samosas in of the land!
Can't go in the waterloo, building is being used for new arrivals. Public not welcome
Really? Man that is such a shame. I love the Waterloo
I was thinking of the Waterloo pub, sorry mate
So sad the Waterloo has gone. One of the best pubs in Newport. So much character.
