You must have missed the scene in the extensed version of The Hobbit, where the goblins are seen operating a table saw for those perfectly straight edges.
I love the use of the tape measure on green screen. I came for the click bait but stayed for the sound rational and reasonable points you make. Lovely as always mate
simple but effective repurposing. reminds me of the old disney cartoon style of focal detail for important objects. The majority of the terrain is "less detailed" but under the gobbo feet its more so. Great stuff
This video gives a lot of inspirations, again. I agree with you about the issues with GW-terrain. It is sculpted in a wonderful way but it is far too expensive to buy enough kits to have enough terrain for an entire gaming board. Still working on my Osgiliath-board an I will try to use my dremel in a similar was as you did. Keep on hobbying 💪🏼
Love the goblin town scratch build Love the new look for the army too but a lot of work. I used some air dry clay and a sculpting tool to make the wood planks on my Goblin town bases. Worked really well, but yours have a much nicer, finished look. Especially the added post on the king and the captain. He's my favorite
That's not the worst! The worst is the wobbly ultra thin "dwarven" terrain included in the BGiME magazines. Very nice use of the Goblin town terrain as well
the difference between the original and the new baces is amazing :) and yes i do agree that golin stuff should be rickety and ramshacled just put together in a haphassard maner :)
For something like this, scratch building is way better looking. Same goes for terrain. For Sci-fi buildings where uniformity is a positive, I like the GW kits, though.
Do they look good? Yeah, they look fantastic. That being said, could have used wooden sticks or a texture roller and saved a terrain piece but each is own. I remember cutting up ruins of middle earth for bases years ago. 5 sets of them. Really wish I hadn't now.
Yeah well I've been sitting on those terrain pieces for years not doing anything with them so it made sense to repurpose. But yeah I've used blue stuff to clone the stone cobble texture from the middle earth ruins set for my MT boys 😁
Scratch built all the way. GW terrain kits are nice, but way too expensive and samey, good for stand out features and buildings but like hell is it worth using purely GW kits.

Aaaah yes I see! Right behind the goblin band. How did I miss that?!
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes easy to miss when you're enthralled by the film.

Haha yeah playing that old algorithm game for the clicks! I really just wanted to be a goblin architect for a bit so the green screen is my ticket 😁

Thanks buddy! I really like how the bases make the gobbos pop with the details. Thanks for watching 😁
OMG it’s amazing to see Adam Sandler getting into war gaming! We need more celebrities promoting our hobby
Bahahaha! Keep your eyes out for a new romcom about a hapless wargamer looking for love 😆
Wow, that’s a lot of work! I would have done away with the round bases altogether, to avoid adding so much height.
My tough as nails gobbos don’t need to hide behind anything for those in the way rolls. They’ll charge straight at those elf bowman pillboxes 😆
Those look so good! Love how the captain turned out too 👏
Cheers mate! Hopefully we can have a game some time in the future 😁
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes play a game and discuss the finer points of Goblin society and politics 😂
@@beaupreston9872 haha exactly!
very excited to see the whole board and the army all together one day
Thanks man! It’s coming 😁

Thanks man, really glad you enjoyed it 😁 I find that making scratch built terrain is so much more satisfying too
Love the goblin town scratch build

Thanks buddy! Using blue stuff and miliput would probably have been a lot easier 😅
Man I was anxious watching you destroy expensive plastic terrain but the results were awesome
Thanks man! I was nervous doing it! 😂
That's not the worst! The worst is the wobbly ultra thin "dwarven" terrain included in the BGiME magazines. Very nice use of the Goblin town terrain as well
Haha fair, though that was scratch built rather than an official terrain kit. Thanks man! 😁
Yesss, amazing work mate! I’m a consistency nut myself so I totally feel you on this 😂
Legend! Haha we are our own worst enemy, that's why it takes me forever to finish things! 😅
Bases do really make or break the mini, love these!
100%! Bases make all the difference, thanks Destin! 😁
The bases looks great with your epic terrain board for them to live in! I'm looking forward to your rendition of "Down Down To Goblin Town" 😂
Coming soon! 🤣 Cheers Jake
Buy one decent GW terrain kit, buy £50 silicone moulding kit, make dump moulds ands get 20-30 pulls per mould.
Unlimited power
Wow. Those bases are beautiful. Well done!!!
Thanks a bunch!
Genius idea mate! So good 🤩
Thanks! 😀
oh wow, one of the best basing videos I've ever seen
Thanks so much! High praise indeed 😊
They look awesome 😃 But, my goodness, that's a LOT of nipping with the craft knife! Top job, as always 👍
Haha yeah it took a lot of patience! Thanks for watching 😊
Great use for that terrain. I need to get myself a Jalapeno popper delivery service as well 😅
Haha yeah you should! Really helps with hobbying 😆
Great work. A bit too great. Tempting me to do a goblin army. Looking forward to more.
Haha thanks mate!
This win win idea was brilliant !
Thanks buddy! 😁

Thanks man I was really pleased with how they came out in the end. Now I'm off to build more rickety ramshackle! 😁
Wow, those turned out amazing!!! Great vid, well done
Thanks Kenny 😁
More great work Adam! Keep it up!
Thanks buddy I’ll certainly try! 😁
now I have a purpose for my 37,3 sprues of osgilath ruins..
Haha yeah man, although I'd recommend using bluestuff to mould the textures rather than cutting them up, those ruins are actually good!
I don't even play war games, but i still like watching your videos
Wow thanks so much! 😁
awsome video ! just watched to ruined city 2 day ago and i cant stop!
Cool! Thanks so much! 😊
looking great and a good choice!
Thank you! Cheers!

100% I had instant buyers remorse when I bought the goblin town terrain! 😅
I love gap games I buy all my minis there
Yeah man I do too when the NZ stores don’t have stock. May as well bookmark my affiliate link then haha 😉
Nice repurposing
