- This 1970s gadget uses a spinning needle to beat an egg inside its shell. What problem this gadget aims to remedy, I know not, but it sounds like fun. 😆 New videos every Thursday and Saturday!

LMAO "SEE MY ARM FLAB SHAKING?" SHE SAYS! LOL NO, NO WE DON'T CUZ YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ARM FLAB
Tracy Osimowicz Yup! She has perfect arms!
I was like what arm flab 🤔
I search for flab and NOTHING.
I love kitchen gadgets
My arm flabs would allow me to fly if I wasnt 95kg of chubby latin guy XD
I don't know why, but I find these vintage kitchen gadget videos fascinating.
Bryanne Kitchen Me too. It's quite satisfying when these things actually work.
Bryanne I think it's interesting because they created these gadgets to try to make cooking more convenient but I think they add unnecessary additional steps to cooking. It's funny to imagine people using these kitchen gadgets.
You mean like many of the gadgets they come up with today? Funny thing many are decades old they just keep giving it a different name
Most gadgets (both vintage and modern) are made for people with disabilities. But the developers need to make some amount of money so that the companies will agree to market them, so they sell them as general products for everyone. Even though there is really a particular audience market for it.
The device above looks like it is for people who would be unable to actively beat eggs, whether from a disability or being older.
+Silverizael Having grown up in the 70s and 80s i'm not sure i agree about vintage gadgets at least. Back then the mood seemed to be that there was no process that couldn't be improved by some gadget or other, sandwich toasters were another one i recall that pretty much everyone bought, used twice then stuffed in the cupboard, never to be used again (mainly because between prep time and cleaning it was simpler to shove the sandwich under the grill). We were all so high on the idea of better living through technology to the point where we would buy just about anything that seemed futuristic!
a trending theme amongst these older products is that they, well, work. must've been nice back then to buy some flimsy product from the supermarket and have it actually do what it says it'll do.
...that and that they seem slightly unsafe. This one seems like it might run the needle into your hand if you tilted the egg too far?
I thought that too, I though she was worried about stabbing her finger rather then breaking the egg.
I miss toasters that toast. They even toasted both sides at the same time!
*oh, these gems were never available in a supermarket!, they were only available through an 800 number with ads run on television during the late late show ... "operators are standing by* "!!
@@Marcel_Audubon , or wait a few years and get one at a yard sale!
I remember when this thing was advertised on TV all the time- that’s how old I am. The ads ran late at night on those independent UHF channels that showed obscure old movies and reruns of unpopular sit-coms from the 50s and 60s. In other words, the ads were in the cheapest time slots on the cheapest stations. Anyhow, Emmy’s review is completely accurate: The thing does scramble eggs in the shell just fine, but ... why scramble eggs in the shell? I’ve seen some newer products that shake the egg in several directions, instead of piercing the shell with a rotating needle. I’ve also tried just holding a whole raw egg and shaking it really hard- the trick there is not to let go of the egg. That worked, too, for me. But I still can’t really think of a reason to scramble an egg without breaking the shell. Unless you just want to surprise people by serving them homogenized boiled eggs.
Can you see my arm shaking? Isnt that sexy? Isn't that hot?
My favorite part of this video xD
Mas Rifqi Well, i managed to finish...
Emmy is so funny!
I lol'd
5:09
she's really been making love to the camera a lot more lately. no complaints here.
Get my Sweaty Egg
😅
emmymadeinjapan why are u so happy over this dumb stuff?
Because not every person on this planet is salty as you are.
I have to say, more than anything, I love how completely unbiased you approach different gadgets or dishes (spaghetti jello mold with Vienna sausage comes to mind).
It's easy to tell you allow your palette preferences to be set aside and really give anything you try a chance.
Keep it up, you're a great lady, and a pleasure to watch. 😊
I feel like over the years you have become so much more comfortable and confident in front of the camera, it is so nice to see!! We love you Emmy!!!
When you were shaking the egg, I was waiting for you to fling it off to the side by accident.
The power of editing would allow her to pretend she didn't...
I'm going to choose to believe she had to do that at least twice, and that there was an egg on the wall behind the camera. :^)
Or crack it in her hand ! hahah
This is now my headcanon
I feel like this might be a good item for someone with arthritis who can't beat an egg with a fork, or someone with limited mobility or a broken arm. Beyond that, it seems a little cumbersome to use daily. Is there a way to clean the needle?
Yeah! i think it would help them a lot. good thinking!
I was thinking it's a good way to do your easter eggs! Since the yolks are a bit tricky to blow out. Just poke it a second time on the other side.
How would somebody with limited mobility pierce and scramble the egg?
How would somebody with arthritis can pierce the egg shell through that needle without cracking the entire thing??
LoserlyCool pressure versus repetitive motion of moving the wrist. I assume it'd be easier, but I don't have arthritis
"can you see my arm flab shaking?" omg hahaha xD I saw a video once where a dude wrapped an egg in a sock and kinda flailed it around and the egg mixed like that
I can honestly say I have no clue how I stumbled on this channel.... but now it is a part of my nightly routine and I am not disappointed. So wholesome and soothing helps me relax. Thanks Emmy!!
These are great for making custard where you need to beat eggs for a long time. I loved mine when I had one.
SupremeJudge i can see this device could have some applications where you need the egg beautifully smooth.
SupremeJudge Yeah I could see it good for getting the egg smoothly beat without a lot of air being beat into it.
dont u love her voice so much
Blue Breezy it's so soothing lol
sandilovee right
Blue Breezy nope
Blue Breezy I really believe that her voice is the whole reason I binge watch all her vids. It's hypnotic!
It's calm and relaxing
That foil thing seems like a way you'd cook eggs when you're camping. What if you just boil the eggs instead of baking them? I don't think the insides would come out to much through such a small hole. If you do boil them and they turn out decent, I think it would be interesting to try making these into Chinese marbled tea eggs. I'd like to see you try that in another video.
I have an egg steamer that requires you like the egg like that before cooking.
That sounds like a wonderful idea! There's no other reason I'd be interested in cooking an homogenous egg inside of its shell, really. Great suggestion, IMO!
I've boiled cracked eggs and some of the white does tend to come out. However, a small crack on the wider end (to make them easier to peel) like where the eggs are pierced, not so much, because it creates an air-pocket instead.
put vinegar in water if you want to hard boil a cracked or pierced egg its will cauterize the white as soon as it is coming out
@@ShojoBakunyu Me too and I also have a dremel, I think I'm going to try piercing the egg with the tool that came with the steamer (a measuring "cup" with a needle underneath) and mix the egg with a bent paperclip inserted into the dremel.
It never occurs to me that I want to see these things until I go onto your channel, and suddenly some bizarre curiosity I didn't even know I had is indulged. And your humor is delightful :) Thank you for producing these videos, they certainly brighten my day!
"See my arm flap shaking. Isn't that hot?"
Me-..... yes
String Bean 😐
😂😂😂 I couldn't stop laughing
String Bean loved it
Definitely keep these gadget videos coming! I love the vintage stuff! I would love to see you do a Creepy Crawler (gummy making machine thing I think) video with your boys. 😜👏👏👏
bgishy she did a video with a creepy crawlers machine, I believe. But not with her babies. I don't think she wants them on camera.
There were so many kitchen gadgets back then. I was always fascinated by kitchen gadgets. Learned the hard way…literally! It’s always easier and much more successful to just do it the old fashioned, tried and true method! Thanks, Emmy. Love watching these! 😊
Emmy should be on television. Has great presence and captivating personality as well.
Just in time! I skipped school today and I feel less bad 😂
Who else was cringing while Emmy was shaking the egg, thinking she might squeeze it just a little too much and it was going to explode on her?
Have you ever tried squeezing a raw egg? As long as you're not wearing a ring, it's virtually uncrushable. Nature's cool. 🥚
from end to end yes. squeezing both sides, pretty easy.
emmymadeinjapan I used to chuck eggs out into my yard so my dog could eat it. It never once broke from being thrown like that. Eggs are tough.
b shepherd wait, your dog ate raw eggs? 😂 I can't really say anything though because my cat eats noodles
Rae Higgins Yeah, she loved it. I would put it in her food and mix it up once she brought the egg back. Not all the time though. She would show up with decomposing cow heads from the cow farm beside us. She ate some nasty stuff.
I like eggs...
anyone else thought "what arm flap??" those are some nice toned arms,, Emmy
If the hole was so tiny that nothing dripped out, could you boil the eggs? That would make a pretty presentation!
The fun in eating a hard boiled egg for me is eating the white and the yolk separately. With this contraption, it seems like you're eating a hard boiled omelet. Nope, not for me either.
Carole Morin I don't know if I'd like the beaten boiled egg, but I do not care for egg yolks
CinnamonCari Prolly cause it isn't seasoned. Get some soy sauce on that biz
Emmy, I love your videos and your sense of humor!
I know I'm a few years late on this one, Emmy... but you should try this again but ALSO add your favorite scrambled eggs condiment, KETCHUP. (By injecting it into the already existing hole!)
I was 13 years old in 1977 and remember this item being advertised on TV during the Christmas shopping season. I never had one, but I did rig up something similar with a power drill. It worked like the TV version, but as Emmy says, it just isn't worth using in the end. Thanks for this wonderful trip down memory lane!
I'm early :D I think you need your own food network show already.
She might be making more money and getting more views and freedom by being on RUclips
Isn't arm flab great!!😆
Marley Angell 😂😂
Chicken wings.
Gotta love the 70’s
If i remember right there was craze for decorating eggshells, you'd poke a hole in each end and blow the egg out, this gadget made it easier to get the eggs out using the blowing method because you didn't have to worry about the bulk of the yolk. Thanks for the blast from the past Emmy and hope you and your family have a great rest of the week.
Ive been watching the whole gadget testing playlist, and it occured to me that a lot of these would be very useful for disabled people! Like the veggie choppers, or even this egg scrambler, are much less risky when your fine motor skills arent great. Being disabled myself I think if i liked scrambled eggs, i would get myself one of these!
Lmao youre a trip
innuendos emmy, innuendos...
Your videos always make me so happy ! They're so relaxing to watch and you seem to have such a calm and happy personality. I love all your videos! I'm also glad you added that cute tune back to the end of your videos 😊
I love how you speak, and the way you describe things. It’s soothing. Plus, I learn new words all the time!
*looks up meaning if superfluos*
I love that voice you used when you said it was "dusty" hehe
Rae Higgins ikr haha me too, she's adorable!
Monica Phillips she so is! and her laugh is so cute!
I feel like I would slip and stab myself with the needle😂😅
So genuine. Every thing this stupidly beautiful imagination lays out is gold.
The egg shake another 70's exercise right up there with jello un-mold aerobics. Love your humor and your bravness with food.
HELL YES this video. Awesome work as per usual Emmy. :) My partner and I absolutely adore you and your content!
6:11 you could say it EGGsploded!
Aha ahah.
If that is right then it would be EGGcellent
I love your vintage videos! All your videos are so fun and interesting !
She seems to be more and more relaxed in her divers as the times goes by. love the spontaneous side of her
70's appliances. I can practically smell the ozone from here.
Also I would rather wash a bowl and fork than lug that thing out, clean the needle and put it away.
From the folks that brought you Pocket Fisherman and the Butoneer!
squares4u ...its hard to wipe a bowl and fork?
Ciearra Goodrich it’s hard to clean a needle ????
Not to mention the foil, water, and 500° oven.
I still have my Snoopy Sno Cone machine from 1979 😊
I really love your videos!!!! Its nice to watch your fun and positive segments!!!!😊😊😊
I'm just so blessed to live an era where Emmy made exist. And trying out vintage items.
I had a really bad day today. So thank you Emmy for this videos, and helping me focus on my work 😭😭 you're a hero.! ☃️ Advance Merry Christmas 🎄⛄🎄
This is such a hilarious and cool video! 😂
lmao arm flab...gurrrl you're toned. Yea it was sexy and hot though. lol.
@ what does that even mean

Cant shake it into beaten submission lmaoo. Emmy you're my favorite.
I love these videos on vintage gadgets. I hope this is a long running series, they're so fascinating.
In the late '70s, the late Steve Goodman collaborated with Michael Peter Smith to write "Vegematic," a comic tribute to all the Ronco-esque appliances you could buy from late-movie-time TV ads. In it, he specifically name-checks the Egg Scrambler, along with the title appliance, the Garden Weasel, Seal-a-Meal, and many others.
Emmy you seemed sassy in this video! I like it! 😀🤣
Loved it Emmy! So fun and brings back my teen years. TY!😍🍳
Had to subscribe. I noticed myself watching these videos on autoplay every day now. Such strange recipes, awesome! Plus, she's very knowledgeable and I'm a cook myself.
"Isn't that sexy?"
Yes, damn you, yes! And not fair how cute you are 😅

INTRODUCING THE ELECTRIC EGG SEASONING NEEDLE
We love being introduced to new gadgets! Thanks for creating great videos and sharing them :)
Wow, this brings back memories. When I was a child in the early 80's my dad took me to pick out a gift for my mom. For some reason I picked out an egg scrambler contraption very similar to this one. Yeah I think it got used once and then languished in a cabinet for the next 20 years.
do you ever try to put a raw egg inside a sock/legging/stocking and twisting it like doing a skipping and pull each end so the egg will spin rapidly in the middle and repeated it so the egg will scramble inside without breaking the shell....
Awesome Video!! Love you Emmy!! :)
Ryan Walker Hey I'm from Nevada too!
Hello!!
Hello, Nevada!
Hope You're having a wonderful day emmy :)!!
Emmy,
You are my hero.
For years I have wondered if
that contraption really worked.
THANK YOU for this and
now please pray that I
will eventually own one.
This looks super fun !!
Thanks again -- YOU ROCK !!!

this would be a good gadget for people who do egg arts and crafts especially around easter . scrambling the egg makes it easier to blow out
5:09 - 5:13 😂😂😂😂😂
Emmy, you bad bad girl! ^-^ ♡
This is by far my favorite video of yours! 💋 Keep up the good work! 👍
New video!!! Yay!!!!!
Omgggggg that giggle after mentioning the weather and a sweaty egg...😂😂
Nice work!! Your videos are fun and informative!
Hiiii Emmy!!
Emmy's husband in lucky
When I was a kid we had one of these and everyone in my family including myself loved it. Was very easy to use, quick, convenient. If you love eggs and you eat them almost every day or everyday, then the problem this is solving is the requirement to get out a bowl and fork everytime and scrambled two eggs together, it saves time & clean-up. The reason I found this video is cuz I'm looking to see if they still make this gadjet, lol! Thank you sharing this video.
Emmy makes my life complete! 😍 She's been showing her sassy-ness a lot more in her latest videos! I LOVE IT!
Emmy:Can you see my arm flap shakinggggggg isn't that sexxyyyyyyyyyy
Me: Urmm yea.. Umm... oOk?? yeaaa it sexy, urm emmy..
This would be perfect if you wanted to hollow out eggs for Easter......but that's about it. Hahaha! Great video!! 🥚🍳🐣
You've gotten quite hilarious with your past couple of videos. I'm loving it.
This video was so cute!! I loved when she like giggled at the little funny things
"Can you see my arm flab shaking? Isn't it seeeexy?" 😂😂😂
damn gurl!! u must work out!!
i love ur shirt......
if u would hav the pockets the same as the shirt...
OMG when she started shaking the egg..so funny!!
I enjoy all of your videos Emmy!
Emmy your such a babe😭
Ummm...I don't see ANY fat on your arms. I see muscle- but not fat. Silly lady! LOL ;-P
P.S. I'm gonna need to hear the rest of that "egg" song you were singing at the end. Hahaha ^_^
Love these vintage gadget videos!
First time to your channel.... I love listening to you talk. Your voice is so very calming!!!!
If you are going to shake and egg to scramble it, you'll have to shake it like it owes you money. Don't ask me how I know this, it's ummmm, just a guy thing.
keith moore you actually can scramble the egg inside the yolk without puncturing it- you use pantyhose and tie a knot on either side of the egg, then spin the crap out of it. It takes much more work than just cracking and whisking it
Yeah, it doesn’t work at all just by hand
haha 69
I've shaken an egg hard enough to scramble it.. I shocked she was unable to lol
it so was sexy lmao
I love the vintage gadget and recipe videos! As a chef they're SO interesting!
That was by far the funniest video i have seen you do!!!! Arm Flaps? LOL
5:12-5:18 I came
I'm a professional tambourinist!!!
Emmy, I love how your on-air persona lately has come to represent your cooky true self. Very entertaining!
When Emmy started talking about the sweaty eggs and started shaking the eggs furiously... I couldn't stop laughing. I think my mind was partly in the gutter :)
Shaking that egg in quite a pornographic manner...I'm not complaining 🤣
cremationpete ... Maybe a workout with the Shake Weight would firm up my arm flab.
So hot!!!!!!!
what about salmonella? how you see if the egg is perfect to eat if you don't break it? and if you put one bad egg in the machine and don't clean the skewer you will contaminate the next one. Maybe it's the reason why they stopped making this machines.
Tatianna Townsend and that's why I say that maybe it was the reason to stopped making this machines. Don't you think so?
Maria Mivi salmonella is invisible (and on the outside of the egg)- you would not be able to tell if an egg is contaminated, but if it was going to be cooked it would not make a difference, since cooking the egg destroys any food borne illness. What you would not be able to see is if your egg is old and rotten (though if you keep your eggs long enough to worry about that, floating them in a bowl of water tells you if they're good or not-fresh eggs sink while bad eggs float). The machine could get bits of egg in it if you broke one while piercing it, which would smell if it wasn't cleaned extremely well...
My husband and I adore you! 😂❤️ your reviews are hilarious but some how also extremely in depth. We watch everything you post haha, your videos are the only thing we ever agree on watching 😂. You're awesome keep doing you ❤️
Daww...I'm so glad I can give you a little something to watch together. ❤️
Oh man I love vintage-y gadgets. Thanks for sharing! lol
You are more beautiful every video. What's your secret?
I need this is my life. My entire life has been spent wasting hard boiled egg yolks. Every Easter, I am triggered whenever i spend so much time boiling and coloring eggs. Waiting for the Easter bunny to hide them. Go find them. Eat them just to throw away that chalky chuck of boiled egg yolk chunk.
emmy, I can't believe how close you are to 1M! i've been here since the moss videos! haha! I can't believe how much this channel has grown!!! you definitely deserve it.
She is just so bless, I love Emmy
