    I remember a long time ago I saw a technique that involved twisting the egg up in a shirt or cloth and pulling both ends of the cloth to make it spin/mix. Definitely a cheaper option but might create an egg slingshot by accident.

Start to spin it by doing circles with your wrists. Stop and pull the cloth apart. That'll suddenly stop the spinning. Start to do circles in the other direction. Stop. Pull apart. Repeat few times. Kidding she gave it to me ). I bent the pin. After which I had an in shell mixer. All I had to do was poke a hole in the TOP of the shell, insert the 'mixer blade', and let it rip for about ten seconds.
    I was to cheap to buy lead free solder though. The lead 'never' came into contact with the egg. Oh yeah, I had an old art deco looking Sunbeam egg poacher. If I had a syringe I probably would have injected some flavor into them.

    While this device is cool to see in action, it's better for us to eat our yolks runny rather than mixed up. Over easy is better for us than scrambled for example. I learned that while researching the carnivore diet.
    And my husband bought a FLIR thermal device like the one showed in your vid and it's awesome for finding warm/cold spots in our house so he knows where to add insulation. Very much worth the investment as we'll save on energy costs!

    Does liquid absorb smells? If you have a pungent substance under water or oil, does it completely block the smell, or will the liquid absorb and diffuse it?

    • @Steel0079
      @Steel0079 Год назад +1

      I think liquid absorbs the smell. It's the certain molecules that you smell.

    • @Grommie122
      @Grommie122 Год назад +1

      @@Steel0079 that's what I figured, but it's not a chemical change, so the liquid can become saturated with the smell. Does it then just become a 'that smell' scented liquid? It wouldn't alter any molecules?

    • @Steel0079
      @Steel0079 Год назад

      @@Grommie122 @Matthew Groom no it wouldn't alter any molecules. Unless the elements or compounds that came in contact normally react with each other. Substances just diffuse into each other, and liquid will have more molecules of that smelly substance than before. And we will sense that through smell, because we are sensitive to certain molecules. I'm no expert in this, but as I understand it, these molecules interact with cells in our nose, or it is that the cells in our nose have evolved to interact with them. But other than that, liquid wouldn't be no different than air at diffusing the smelly substance IMO.
