Good review. I have the same marbled mahogany calfskin on my new 28 gsm Canterbury that I got about 2 weeks ago. I was not so sure about it when I first saw it but after using it for a few days I now love it. By the way I know what you mean about how smooth it is but one, who does not have callous hands, can still feel the grain especially in spots where the grain is more visually pronounced. I like how the cover is thicker and stiffer as it is easier for me to hold in one hand. But it is still flexible and premium for sure. To me the leather has a rustic feel to it especially when the Bible is open. I would say the theme for the design is treasure in earthen vessels. You have this rustic brownish black leather on the outside and a gorgeous text block on the inside with red drop caps and gold gilding etc. The ribbons follow the same theme with a gold ribbon in the center of two brown ribbons.

Man, I absolutely love that marbled mahogany look! I wasn’t going to get one because it’s calfskin instead of goatskin and still costs $10 more! But after seeing it next to the goatskin and all the different angles I think I might get that bible. It’s really, really, nice. Thanks for the review.

Btw, I used to be be one of 'those' people who thought that premium Bible collectors would be better off actually reading the Word rather than collecting one leather Bible after another until I got a premium Bible and realised how gorgeous a leather Bible is in person. Now I understand why people love collecting these beauties. (I'm not much of a collector - I'm content for now with my 2 premiums - hopefully not famous last words ha!) But like you brother, I've got 22 other study Bibles - Spurgeon, Reformation, Spirit filled, Dakes', Holman study, Faithlife, Jewish study bible etc etc apart from commentaries, the list is long, mostly in hardbacks and faux leather. I believe the Spirit Filled Life Bible (my absolute favourite devotional Bible) is coming out with a genuine leather KJV in November this year. Since my beloved NLT Spirit Filled Life hardback is already beginning to show some wear and tear, I've decided to save up for the Spirit Filled Life KJV genuine leather. I know that the Spirit filled NKJV genuine leather is already available. Would be very grateful if you could review that if you come by it from a friend's collection or if it's already in your gorgeous collection! I live in India and it costs over $200 with shipping to get a leather Bible shipped here from USA/Europe. I wouldn't want to spend that kind of money without watching one of your reviews! Got mine a few days a ago..... it's my instant favorite I LOVE the calfskin on the edition I got amazing!
I love the wear on the credo....I have a NKJV in antique marble goatskin and it looks almost the same..... I also use it the most and love the well worn feel.
I’m waiting for the NLt to come out!! I have used esv for many years and I like Nasb but missing nlt
I have the dark green goatskin in the ESV PSQ. I’m looking to get the regular quentel NKJV, but am having a hard deciding whether or not to try the marbled mahogany calfskin or go with another dark green goatskin. It’ll be my last Bible purchase for a long time. I’m not a collector, but I find the quality of these Bibles outstanding. I’m just wanting a full size one for the pulpit/devotion. Any thoughts are very appreciated.

I just want to let you know I received my very first Schuyler Quentel. I have the CSB. When I first started looking at bible reviews a few years ago. It wasn't until I started listening to you that I really decided that I wanted a premium Bible. I didn't want an NIV or King James or New American Standard. I had to wait until the CSB became available. I'm looking through your videos I wanted to know. Do you have a comparison between the Schuyler 28 GSM and Schuyler 36 GSM Bible? Which video would you recommend for me to watch. But I can't remember all of them I've seen so many of your videos.
I really wish they would come back out with the real thin line when I ordered my credo I thought it was gonna be like yours 😢

Is this Bible good to highlight and underline with pigma micron with 28 gsm will it show right through vs 36 gsm in the Zondervan SCR NASB95??
Also which do you think is better overtime now 2 years later the calfskin or goatskin and when you wrote in it and highlighted how was it? It’s an expensive bible $215 with shipping for me so I have to know these things before buying.
I keep my bibles in the box when not using and that seems to keep the smell

David, is the calf skin just as durable and soft as the goat skin? What are the differences between the two? I was going to wait until they came out with the goat skin in Marbled Mahogany, but not sure if that's ever going to happen.
Seems just as durable. The only differences are the ones I hit in the video.
Okay I came here for the Bible review but I left so very much more intrigued about your audio bible reading with music. I went to the website. I took a sneak peak at the John reading. It’s beautiful. I read along in my bible and it helped cut down my distracted mind. Do you have the entire bible done or just select books? Thank you so much!
Hey thanks for listening. I only have selected books right now. I plan on finishing, but it’s slow goin presently. I do them book by book and Romans will be the next book I release.

That bible is a beauty indeed, the generous yapp is one of the main changes they made that imo grabs the eye of bible lovers, its very important.
Bibles that dont have at least some noticeable yapp just bum me out , esp if they hit all the high points . Its a bummer when a design has everything you would want in a bible, but then it has a hardback style yapp?
I dont believe in gremlins... but sometimes I wonder if publishers have saboteurs working on their design teams 😂

"Cuddle Bible" describes my relationship with my Bible. When my husband's Bible was 'lifted' in church, he began using mine. I couldn't believe how protective I became, like a personal infringement. Never could find the right words to describe my feelings to others. This is perfect.

Hey Dave I think I have bought about 10 schuyler bibles now and you are 100% to blame ! Haha ! I always say it’s my “last one “ and it never happens . My current favorite is the NIV Quentels ..I bought one simply because they have the red letter text . I ended up actually liking the NIV and Broke up with the NAS ! Will
Always love the NAS but I find myself really enjoying the NIV now . I never was able to get a “brick ,” since they didn’t make them again when I started . I also love the slate .. I have an NIV slate, psq ESV slate , and the NAS wide margin slate now. I think my next is going to be a black NIV when they come out in 2022 . I don’t have ANY black Schuylers . I won’t write in that one . Thanks I couldn’t think of a better addiction to have so I’m not really mad at you ! Ha ! Blessings to you and you family ! - Jaz

Not at the moment. The wide margin is the only one with notebook paper.
The next time someone makes "The Pharisee Bible" remark... Tell them a Pharisee Bible would be one that still looks brand new after years of ownership from lack of use.

Lined paper > concordance
I agree 100% but Schuyler does do one of the better concordances imo but once again imo concordances are great if you have one bible and nothing else with you but if you have a bible and full size actual concordance or a smartphone it’s gonna blow the back of the Bible concordances out of the water I would love to get one of the old thin lines with some good lined paper and no maps to get it as thin as possible
My lock man NASB in Mark 16 on the footnotes when the soldier were mocking Christ and the curtain broke the footnotes say surly “he was the son of a god” supporting JW. Not cool :/. Just went back to the 53 KJV Allan hiland goat skin in nb really awesome Bible and translation.
Wow. So you take your theology from a Roman centurion who had no knowledge of Jewish theology or the promise of a Jewish Messiah? So what if the centurion said he was a son of a god. The Roman's believed in many gods. Does that make what the rest of the NASB teaches about Jesus Christ void? Use some common sense and stop trying to cause division about Bible translations.
