It's worth it, what got Ali and I into the premium bibles was right after I became a christian, I was frustrated that my bibles would start falling apart after only a few months of use, and that's when we fell upon the Bible Design Blog...
SA Tabernacle Yes! I have been researching the premium bible world for a bit. I have one that goes with me every where buts its getting to big to carry places especially in my line of work. I can only pack so much so when they came out with that one I thought this could be the one. The font in the Pitt is way way to small. when i end up getting one I will let you know. So far, my favorite bible review! It's fun, but pretty in depth without realizing it. Basically, you get a lot of information without being boring. Now I feel like I need to smell my bible more... Found a Pitt Minion for a good price, but the font size... I'm definitely going to have to check this one out. Thanks guys!

Does the PSQ flatten out over time? I’ve had mine for a little while but I haven’t used it a whole lot because it’s nice. I just ordered another one in black goatskin NASB, but you were right about the thinline. I’ve been using that one the most and it’s become my favorite. Also, I receive my Pit in NASB and 😍 my god I love it. I carry it everywhere and it lays so flat are the other Cambridge bibles so nice? God bless! I’m looking forward to your next bible review.

I believe the next personal size will be the ESV. But I'm confident we will see one in KJV, though I have not heard anything specific.

For sure! I love the Canterbury, I'm using it for the audio bible reading and it's so nice. The King's English glossary is very helpful too. It's about the same size as the big green Quentel in the video.

Thanks I honestly watched this video like 10 times .. okay maybe 15 in the last few days . I initially decided I wanted the red one and even thought the British Tan was the most horrible color they had . Then I saw this and was in awe of how beautiful it actually is !!!!!! I ordered mine today and Can't wait to get it now! This vid is wonderful by the way besides the Bible's . Your personalities are wonderful and together even more so . Thank you for doing this and I'm so so excited and can't wait to get mine ! Gods been showing me lately that I think I know what I want but what he has is better . Ironically thinking I wanted the red one and then seeing the British Tan one and falling in love with it is like another lesson in that . It's wild . Many blessings I will post again when I get it !

I sure need a quick response. Sorry- the sale at evangelical ends tonight! I'm getting a psq nkjv in either the marbled? antique mahogany OR the dark green. I LOVE the brown but it's calfskin with calfskin liner. Is yours- the antique brown Goatskin or calfskin? I know your wife's is but I'm hoping yours is calf so I can order tonight. Otherwise I won't risk it and settle for the green. Thank you!!!!

Do you use a bible case when you travel with an expensive bible like these or do you just throw them into one of your bags that you have?
-When I travel state side I usually take a nicer one and I use the box it came in to pack it. -When I'm out of the country I actually take an old beat up Moody Press NASB and I have it in my carry-on.
Oh that’s so lovely , it’s worth getting quality because when they are broke in they are beautiful to use and last a life time. I’m going to use my antique marble in my ministry , Yeshua is so good Hallelujah

Great video! I got the calfskin version myself. By the way, as far as I know, text block is referring to the text within the book, and the way that it is laid out, vs book block, which are all the pages together (the dimensions of the outer part of the book itself).

That tan is lovely. They make blues and purples as well. But as happy with the slate PSQ ESV I ordered as I could be with any of them.

Hey, they are currently out of stock, but they are expected to be back in the fall. It's called the Caxton if you want to look for one used. It a little bigger than these.

Not only do I love leather but love love love bible paper.
I should have one by my birthday in a few weeks. Maybe my wife will let me have it before then. Ha. Went with the green cover. Went back and forth between it and the black. The red ribbons were pretty tempting. Green was the first one I was drawn to. Can’t wait to get it and start reading through it.

It's my NASB but it's still the same size as the other PSQ's.

Ben-Lindsey Horn awesome!! -I like the Goatskin better -it's edge-lined with a leather liner. The Calfskin is still nice but not as soft and flexible because it has a paper liner with card-stock under the cover.
Ah man, was hoping for the other option... but guess I’ll just fork out the few extra dollars. The way I see it is that it’s a lifetime investment 😄

I'm in the market and thought to do a search on RUclips. Of course when I saw Ali I had to click view. :) The band you refer to is the spine of the animal and my favorite part of the hide btw. You two are adores. I'm sold and on my way to purchase. I'm a huge fan and collector of all things evangelical bible. Thanks for sharing

I was wondering, based on one of the reviews I read-->"My only reservation is that there are typographic errors where the footnote doesn’t always match the superscript number". Will you please confirm this? I wanted to buy this Bible but I am hesitant now after that review.
I haven't come across that and I use the footnotes extensively. Not saying its not there since I haven't read through this edition completely yet, just not super prevalent.
FYI: I received confirmation about the review through an Evangelicalbible.com employee.
Beth said, "The customer in question contacted us prior to leaving her review to let us know about one error in Leviticus 16:14, where the word mercy appears twice. Both instances should have the footnote caller 1 on them, but only the first does. The second instance is mismarked with footnote caller 2. Looking back into previous editions, this has been the case since the First Edition Quentel NASB was released in early 2014. No one else had noticed it or thought to bring it to our attention before August of 2017.
Such misprints are unfortunate, but in a book with nearly 800,000 words, not including cross references and footnotes, it's not unheard of that such an error might slip in. God's Word is perfect; the humans who typeset, proofread, print, and bind it are not. We've made note of it for the next printing, though this edition will not likely be reprinted, as the next Quentel NASB will be of the expected translation update."
thanks, I did come across one in Psalms in the 1st edition Quentel. They do correct them in newer editions.

Would you happen to know if there’s a way to order one in a specific color? The one I want is NASB personal size in the blue but they only have two to choose from in the calfskin which is their cheaper one.
Bobby Dillashaw -they don’t do custom colors so the only blue NASB is the goatskin one. -I think it’s worth saving for because the liner makes all the difference in the world. -I’ve never had an edge-lined bible fall apart.

Quick question. Is the liner partially glued to the last page in yours? I just received an ESV PSQ and on the last page the liner is glued about 1/4 up and leaves this weird v-shaped page. I thought the last page would be 100% glued to the liner. Is that normal? This is my first premium bible. Thanks
I think your talking about the edge-line binding, where the leather liner is glued between the 2 end-sheets? If so, then yes.
David Lee Brown at SA Tabernacle Maybe? Lol. The last page is glued to the leather liner for about an inch then separates the rest of the way up. Let me know if that makes sense. It seemed odd as if it was a mistake. 🤷🏼♂️

Please mention to your viewers that they should request that their bible be shipped in a box as opposed to a thin bubble sleeve in a FedEx plastic bag. After viewing several unboxing I just assumed that Evangelical Bibles.com shipped all their premium bibles in boxes. I was bummed when I saw that my bible came in a bag. The Bible was fine but the box had a corner dented in. I will be specific when I place my next order.
Didn't know they did that. I've had around 25 - 30 orders from them since 2011 and every single one was shipped in a box 🤷♂️

We give a lot away to people locally who we can see face to face: those we directly minister to and friends that need new Bibles. -There are a lot of scammers online so we stay out of that arena all together and point people to their own local ministries that give the Bible out. -It's common knowledge in the homeless communities we minister to that the Bible is free, and indeed it is. So if you need help finding a copy where you are let us know. -Most local churches are delighted to hand out their pew Bibles to someone in need as well.

I am tracking my bible and it says it should be here by Thursday . I have over 20 study bibles but this is my first premium bible. My goal is to just use to as a reader although that will be incredibly difficult as I'm use to marking up my bibles. I follow professor Horner reading system and I enjoy it have done it for four years now . I love the look of premium bibles that have been well used .. I am a bible geek and I'm always eyeing people's bibles for example Beth Moore has an Allen Bible .. the same one Ali has I Believe and love how it looks in her pics and preaching . Charles Stanley is another one . I would have went for the Allen bible but I use 10 book marks with the Professor Horner reading system and they were always sliding out my Ryrie which is bonded leather and did better in my inductive study bible . I don't consider that one a premium bible (maybe I'm wrong ) at any rate I think my bookmarks won't slide in this one . I am so anxious to get it . I have a question may be silly .. but does the smell wear off ?? You seem to have many premium bibles and am just wondering :)

User Unknown not yet. The NASB was first, and ESV is on preorder now. I'm pretty sure they're going to do the KJV as well but I haven't heard for sure. -I think it will be a personal size Canterbury which has the same font as the Quentel but a few more bells and whistles. -That's my guess.
Love the joy you both have over the Bible and each other, very cool. I REALLY want to get the full-size NASB along with the PSQ, but the Jerusalem Cross is a tough one, since my wife and I are involved with the Messianic movement. For Messianic Jews (and Jews in general), that cross is a reminder of the Nazis, which is unfortunately ironic. I have the Quentel NIV Star of David and quality is superb. I've bought around 10 (gulp!) Bibles from them and their service is excellent.

Pastor Brian. Her channel is awesome as well. Those leather journals are great to keep bible notes and other journal writings in as well. I don't do the art journaling but the leather covers from Chic Sparrow are definitely high quality and the inserts can be changed out creating an awesome archiving system. God Bless Brother

You know it. I've been scouring that blog lately. I actually just purchased a PSQ and I'm pretty sure (Read: 100% sure) I'll be picking up a full-sized Quentel in the Dark Green in a bit, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on Allan to see if they put out any more works of art like that.

SA Tabernacle bible collecting is just like any other collecting hobby. the diff. is that it is the Word of God. it IS possible to be humbe and down to earth and also collect high end bibles. keep up the great vids.
I enjoy collecting bibles. I think about why I collect and for one reason I have such a love for the word of God. There is no other book that compares to Gods word. Another reason is I hunger for Gods word. I'm driven for Gods word:)
