Thank you, Ben! Small bibles aren't for everyone, certainly, but it's novel to have editions like these (assuming your eyesight is good enough to read them)
Thank you for an outstanding review and comparison Jonathan. I’ve had the PSQ for a couple of years and I love it but I was looking for something just a tad slimmer for on the go. The Pitt looked perfect and I really wanted it to be “the one” for EDC but the font is just too small for extended reading for someone my age. I love how easily it lays flat, and how it feels in the hand. I wish I would’ve known about this edition in my 20’s. 😂 If they would make a separate edition as strictly a reader and no cross references, maybe they could make the font a tad larger which potentially could make it the ideal carry bible. Although generally not a fan of zippered bibles, after watching your previous review, I think a zippered PSQ might be the answer for a great on the go bible. Thanks again Jonathan and keep doing what your doing. 👍👌🙏
That's a great idea for the Pitt,...I'd love to see that, too, considering the references are almost too small for most people anyways. I'm surprised how useful the zippered bible has been for me, personally. It definitely feels super stiff and lacks that premium oomph other cover options provide, I think it makes up for it in its ability to lay super flat and its overall portability. Thanks for your support Mike, you're the best!
I want to comment on the quality and durability of the Cambridge Pitt Minion Bible. I purchased a Cambridge Pitt Minion KJV Bible in Waukegan, Ill in June 1963. Within a year the bible had travelled with me to Dallas, then to Alameda, Ca on to Honolulu, Wake Island, Guam to the Marianas Islands, Bonin Islands including Iwo Jima, then Yokuska, Japan, to Hong Kong, Subic Bay, Philippines, the entire coast of South Vietnam during patrols in 1965. We later cruised to Sydney, Australia. I still have the bible and it remains in excellent condition. I have since purchased a Cambridge Pitt Minion in NKJV.
I have a compact NKJV that I got back in 2007. It looks to me like the print size might be close to the Pitt Minion type size. I might be getting a Pitt Minion sometime. Thank you for the comparison! I cheat, I wear bifocals 😁
This Personal size Bible is nice and backpack-friendly . Question: Do they come in NIV 1984 EDITION without the center reference thing ? Remark: It would be nice if there's not too much fast movements while holding the Bible (3:18) . Two reasons: 1) It's a bit dizzying 2) So we can take a good look at the Bible better . The more time we get to look at the Bible the better . Just a constructive comment . It is not to discourage in any way . Thanks for sharing . God bless us all .
I'll definitely take your constructive criticism and apply it in the future...many thanks! I do know they've definitely made Pitts with the NIV 84 text, but I've never seen one without center column references.
Calfsplit is just the tougher half of a calfskin hide after they split the leather. Cowhide can be split, too, or kept full. You'd have to be specific about what kind of cowhide leather you chose in order to do a fair comparison. Generally cowhide is touted as more durable than calfskin whereas calfskin feels softer than cowhide. I would say, though, that both are durable enough that, as long as you continue to place your natural oils on the leather to keep the leather moisturized, they'll both last you a lifetime. Just get whatever you like in the hand more or has a longer lasting binding.
Great comparison review man! I can see why people really like both of these Bibles. And wow thanks for the shoutout! Haha ok I’m curious what you have in mind, I think I know your fb, I’ll send you a pm 🤙🏼
BRO THE WANTON TACOS!!! it’s the only reason I went to Applebees for as long as I did. So funny to randomly hear someone else loved them.
They were pretty fire! I was also super into their double crunch wings. Sadly those aren't half off during happy hour anymore 😭
If the pit minion were a 9 point font, I’d choose it over the PSQ. I love the classic layout, and their calf split is wonderful.
Yes! There's something special about Cambridge bibles that always draw me back in.
Great review. I had been hesitant to drop big coin on a smaller Bible, but I think you’ve changed my mind.

I use my goatskin NKJV Pitt a lot, too! So glad Cambridge has a good history when it comes to durability.
I have a Pitt Minion with the NIV84 text in goatskin. I've had it for over 12 years and it has held up really well.
Oh man! I'd love to have me one of those. That's awesome!

Schuyler > Cambridge by a mile. It's not even close for me but to each their own. Thanks for the video
Nickname resilience. We love to see it!
Love the name. 😅. Bless you bro. Soli Deo Gloria

Great review Wonton!
Thank you! 😊
Is calf split a higher grade or stronger than cowhide?

You're welcome 🤗
Yes Wonton!

NKJV Brown goatskin Pitt minion is my daily Bible.
I use that one often, too!
