Great, thank you for this video! I just bought Dynafit bindings and I am not exactly sure how to use them. This video provided a bit more clarity for me.
Thanks, great video but I thought ski touring was like hiking but in the snow with skis? This seems like a big hassle everytime you need to go up and down a slope. I'm really confused about all the different types of cross country skiing. Could you please tell me what the type of skiing is that I'm after?

Hi Jamie, thanks for your comment. To a certain extent one can also simulate some gliding with the skins on the skis when going forward - especially in the flat. In general the "hair" structure of the skins allow gliding on the forward movement and prevent the ski tourer from gliding backwards at the same time. The forward gliding however is not entirely comparable to cross-country skiing - that means we would not recommend cross-country skiing with your ski touring skis on the slopes :). To sum it up - the movement when walking with skins on the skis is a "dragging" of the ski rather than a "lifting" - so the movement is more similar to cross country skiing than to snow shoe walking if we have to compare it to the one or the other. We hope that helps & let us know if you have any further questions. All the best from your Dynafit Team! #Speedup
Any tips on getting the pin bindings to line up every time? My small brain is so far away from my disobedient foot that I struggle every damn time! Cool video, especially this year with so many lifts closed and touring increasing in popularity!
Hi Ben, thanks for your feedback on the video :) Regarding your question - for sure there is a bit of practise involved as well but in general it helps to make sure the ski is placed on a rather even ground/surface and that the inclination of the ski is as small as possible. That way you also don't have to twist your leg/foot in any unnatural way. Furthermore stepping into the binding coming with your boot from behind and a 30 degree angle as described by Schorsch makes it easier as well :) Hopefully this helps, let us know if you have any further questions. Hi Robert! Thanks for your question and sorry the delay in our response.
